A letter arrived at Clermont Club, directed at Mr Russo personally. The return address was the Princes address in Milbank Tower. Dear Mr Russo ! Please remove Mrs Carter from her current lodgings and have her shipped to Düsseldorf immediately. Best regards, J. Henderson |

Mr Cornwall delivered a letter to Millbank Tower the very same day. London's postal service was just fine, but the issue called for urgency. Marcus wanted his response in the Prince's hand as soon as humanly possible. The receptionist at the front desk, Ms Wright, had to endure a few moment of flirtatious behavior coming from Mr Cornwall, but he finally left the letter with her and then made his exit. Good Evening your Highness, I think there seems to be a misunderstanding here. And quite the unfortunate one, if you ask me. It was the very same night that I alerted you to Mrs Carter's fate, that Mr Harris, acting as Sheriff, came and removed Mrs Carter's body from where the 'incident' occurred. I chose to alert all proper authorities when that tragic moment happened. I took every precaution. Now it seems, and forgive me for assuming, that you haven't been receiving any follow ups on the matter. I regret to inform you your Highness, but ever since that unfortunate evening, even I haven't received any follow ups on that subject. Which then begs me to ask - Where exactly is my Clanswoman? Normally, I get overjoyed when I receive your letters. They remind me who I serve under and gives me the state of mind that you're doing well. But, this letter of your's that's here in my face, and believe that it still is here in my face, causes me a great deal of suffering your Highness. On top of other things, it's most important to me now that I try to locate the body of Mrs Carter. A trusted ghoul of ours, employed here at the Clermont Club, witnessed two vile creatures belonging to Mr Harris wrap my Clanswoman in some cheap rug and then shove her into the back of some trunk as if she was the previous day's garbage. Certainly not the most respectful way of handling the body of a King, simply in my opinion. If I would have known such measures were going to be taken, I would have dealt with the matter myself. Nevertheless, rest assured that I'll take care of it your Highness. I'll have Mrs Carter delivered to Dusseldorf myself if she already hasn't been. What I would like is for you to have a word with your Sheriff; my colleague, Mr Harris. Remind him of his duty to keep you informed of such things please. You can also mention that I don't appreciate his hesitation with the body of my Clanswoman. There is just no way of telling what ungodly things that Brujah has done with her body. I find his ways of handling this insulting and extremely unprofessional. This is a transgression that I'll be sure to remember for future references. I wish you a most superb evening your Highness. Long live your reign. Regards, M. A. Russo |

Dear Mr Russo ! As much as I am normally willing to help and assist Clan Ventrue in matters that overstep the delicate boundaries of a Primogen's station, I am certain that communicating your grievances to Mr Harris is something that might be well inside said boundaries, unless of course I am mistaken and need to adjust the pressuring weight of duties crushing you under its importance to make sure you will be able to work efficiently and effectively. Thus, please reconsider if you want me to talk to Mr Harris in your stead, remind him of his duties in your stead and express your grievances in your stead. It might also be worthwhile to keep the implications of the way you worded those requests in mind while you reconsider. Yours sincerely J. Henderson |

A different evening, a different suit, and a different letter coming from the Prince. Marcus read the newly arrived letter and then just let it fall from his hands and onto his desk. He suddenly wanted to see his previous letter to the Prince again. He wanted to read over it and ponder over his choice of words. Maybe his anger had gotten the best of him and he was projecting that anger onto the Prince in his letter. It wasn't the Prince's fault that he was misinformed. More like his subordinates weren't doing their job to completion, therefore in some small way, that reflected back on Henderson. He wondered if his letter seemed like he was blaming the Prince for something. For a few moments, he felt scolded. Through a letter. What a shameful feeling that was. He couldn't even remember what he wrote, but he wished he would have worded it differently. The scolded feeling melted away and was replaced with one of carelessness when he remembered who it was that was making him feel that way; a Prince of the Camarilla, but a sewer-rat above all else. A sewer-rat who Marcus believes places the Ventrue somehow at the bottom of the Kindred pillar by appeasing the Toreadore with Ventrue assets. Marcus shrugged his feelings aside and then reached for his phone. He dialed Mr Harris's number, feeling resentment coming from the Brujah Sheriff and the Nosferatu Prince. Were the staked Kindred one of their own, then maybe some form haste would have been more appropriate. "Telling me to mind my words.. How absurd..." he said to himself while holding the phone to his ear. Edited by Elagabalus, Sunday, 18. October 2015, 04:37.
