| Welcome To The Night You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality. This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories. Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness. Create Your Account! If you're already a member, please log in to your account to access all of our features: |

Welcome to Danse Macabre. Please, take a moment to review the basic information: If you don't know what "World of Darkness" and "Vampire: the Masquerade" are, click here. Otherwise, keep on reading. If you are new to the world of forum Role Playing, click here. Otherwise, keep on reading. Now that you are familiar with the basics, please take a while to review our Board Rules. Check out the Rules, the board Etiquette, and all the World Information, including the playable Sects and Clans, how we use the Disciplines, and what are these Disciplines. It's not necessary for you to review it all. If you already know what Clan and Sect are you playing, it's highly advisable for you to check out what's our perspective on them; some of the WoD concepts are quite flexible and, due to our specific setting and the peculiarities of the board RP experience, we have some house rules and deviations from the traditional canon. Now you are all set. It's time for you to create your character. Feel free to read approved character applications, it can be really helpful. Use one of our standard submission sheets, either for characters that are Vampires or Mortals. Make sure you fill in all the requested fields. If any of the character fields is not applicable (example: a character with a great mental health will probably have no derangements), simply fill the slot with a "None", and move on. Vampire characters will be given Discipline Dots after the character is approved, so don't worry about that just yet. Take that sheet, and create a character. You can post it either in the Work in Progress area or, if you feel you have finished your creation in one go, directly in the official character application submission area. Once your character is created, open a thread in the Moderator Concern area, so we can start reviewing the application and, if necessary, moving it from the Work In Progress area to the proper Submission area. Bear in mind that the messages in the Moderator Concern area are private, and only you and the moderating team will be able to read them. The application reviewing process can take a while. Sometimes, it's very fast, while sometimes it takes a few weeks, depending on many factors. As a rule of thumb, you can expect a longer reviewing process the more difficult the character is to play. If at any point during the creation process, or even after the character is approved, you have any doubt about anything, please open a thread in the Moderator Concern area. Although all the moderators are outstanding individuals, really focused on helping players, asking for advice via Private Message, or any other one on one channel, can cause endless confusion, and end up being deeply counter productive. Again, welcome to Danse Macabre. Enjoy your stay! |
