| Welcome To The Night You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality. This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories. Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Player Handle: Sela. Name: Takeda Akatsuki. (武田 暁) *I don't know when it would come up, but if someone was totally fluent in Japanese, saw it written before being introduced, and it wasn't written in Roman characters, they would probably read the writing in parenthesis as "Takeda Satoru" - the typical pronunciation of that character as a male given name. "Akatsuki" is the noun pronunciation, meaning 'dawn' or 'daybreak' and is emphasising a specific point. Age: 80. Place of birth: Kyoto, Japan. Age of embrace: 33. Clan: Ventrue. Sect: Camarilla. Species: Vampire Derangement: None. Disciplines: Appearance: Akatsuki is a man of average height and unremarkable build. He has a trim physique that wears clothes well, from a traditional kimono to a well-tailored suit. His skin is a pale olive color with gold notes to it. His face is handsome but, by itself, might not stand out in a room full of luminaries. Its slight roundness is offset by his shoulder-length, slightly wavy black hair. He has a small straight nose, arched eyebrows and round lips. His eyes are tilted and somewhat narrow, almost catlike. They are as dark as his hair and usually both cold and unblinking. Akatsuki has, beyond his appearance, an electric charisma that can be both fascinating and uncomfortable. His most beautiful feature, by far, is his hands. They are perfectly formed as if designed by a master sculptor. Small for a man's, with very long delicate fingers but a strong thumb that gives them a masculine appearance. The nails are short and perfectly manicured and the position in which the hands are held can show a great deal about Akatsuki's moods which his still posture and expressionless face fail to divulge. His satin-smooth voice is neither high nor low. He speaks his native Japanese with an extremely posh dialect and uses very formal, correct language even with servants, with the exception of his choice of personal pronoun (この私/kono watashi) which is often considered to sound egotistical. In English, his accent is indistinguishable, almost pure Received Pronunciation, and he speaks softly, quickly and politely. He presses his clothes with lavender and cedar so that the scent clings ephemerally to the fabric. Among friends, as a gesture of trust, Akatsuki sometimes closes his eyes during conversations. When they open, the perpetual note of icy, amused malice has left them, notable only by its absence. Haven: History: [1] This history assumes Tokyo is enough of a metropolis and a center of world commerce to possess both a Kuei-Jin Court and a Camarilla Prince and Primogen, existing in an uneasy, constantly fluctuating sense of balance, alliance or war. It also is probably not consistent with WoD canon regarding any existing or non-existing NPCs. For this reason, I intend to work closely with the mods to make sure it is in keeping with and consistent with internal game canon. I. LIKE A WILD DOG (possible triggers, though very non-explicit, for child abuse and threats of torture) Spoiler: click to toggle TBC (obvsly) Notes: Languages: First: Japanese (fluent, large vocabulary). Second: English (fluent, medium vocabulary). Edited by Takeda Akatsuki, Monday, 13. June 2016, 21:27.
