Archon laughs quietly to himself "Is that so? This is you being calm and civil? I would hate to see what you look like when your angry? Then last time I checked it was the duty of ALL Kindred, not just some disgruntled Kindred upset with their hair loss to protect their Cities and their Princes." Archon sated quickly, yet articulately "If you know whom your damn bloody enemy is then I suggest you start acting like it Mr.Harris, instead of behaving as some uppity git spoiling for a fight. Do you really think that given the recent events of the Destruction of our former Prince and the invasion of the Sabbat that I have not engaged the enemy, ha ha ha, how incredibly naive of you. Or perhaps you fancy yourself the only warrior in Prince Chambers' Domain? As for you clan, I can guess well enough given what you have displayed thus far. Though on a side note of I were Harpy, or even the assistant Harpy, your name and Clan would be my business, just wanted to point out the error of your statement." Apart from that, proper English gentlemen do not bicker like little children on a playground, especially in an institution like this. So unless anyone would be more than interested to let things get out of hand, what prevents us all from simply acting our age and keep things civilized, gentlemen ?" Henderson's voice interrupted. He kept it friendly, but a slight hint of annoyance was perceivable. It was not his job to interfere here, but as there was currently no Keeper, someone had to, and he certainly would not allow these young men to create any breaches or even risk one in his presence. George ignored the last comment of Hamilton and turned to the newest partcipant of the little talk, apparently looking, if this person was known to him or dangerous. "I don't think we met, so you could at least have the manners to introduce yourself, if you don't mind... But you are right, we should change the subject indeed, although it is not completely my fault, that our talk became heated... I had some rough days lately and this... lawyer keeps trying to provoke me either into violent behaviour or breaking the rules... As he maybe found out, if he actually listened, I don't like ... folks provoking me, especially not those who sit behind a desk and fiddle with papers all day and think that can be called work... So, any idea on a new topic ?" The others might notice that the words 'lawyer' and 'folks' were accompanied by some other words in Welsh, which probably were obcenities directed at Archon... |

Clearly Mr.Harris enjoys bantering on and lacing his speech with what he thinks is subtle insults so we shall let him continue on thinking that is winning at being witty. I would say on to a more serious topic of conversation, like say the on going war with the Sabbat. How are your fronts going gentleman? Well I entrust? I had a brief fight with what was either a Lasombra or a Brujah Antitribu for he hit like a a train, though luckily for the powers within my blood I was able to absorb most of what was thrown at me and brought that loathsome cur his final death. My jaw hurts just thinking about it..." Archon said massaging his jaw as if to make a point. Archon looked back and fourth from one Kindred to another waiting for one of or both of them to reply and say what they had to say. He took another drink from his flask and swallowed looking each of these Kindred in the eye, wondering if he made them nervous as his Clan was renowned for the use of Dominate. |

So please refrain from picking at discussion styles or talking about people as if they were not present. Except of course, your Sire regards that as a normal way of corresponding with others. It would be somewhat acceptable if you were a harpy, which I am sure you are not, so think about how your practice of discourse reflects on you and your education by your Sire. I am sure Mr. Harris will be happy to cut his participation in the mentioned topic down to zero as well." James didn't like to pull the 'Sire' card on others, but some situations simply screamed for it... With many it was one of the few things that still worked, especially with younger Ventrue and Toreador. "As for the fronts, we are safe and secure at the moment, so I would daresay that things are proceeding in an acceptable fashion... What about your participation in the security of our beloved society, gentlemen ?" James didn't exhibit any sign of nervousness. True, his mask could surely cover up the most of it, but from the way he spoke and acted, he clearly saw himself in the leading role. |

"They way I speak and talk to others, reflect in no way on my Sire, Mr.Henderson. I have not been under his accounting in many years. But I see and understand your point or at the very least what you were attempting to do. I shall stop." Archon looked at the suspected Brujah Mr.Harris. "I have offended you, this is clear, I apologize to you Mr.Harris." Archon said with out chide or venom, his voice perfectly level, as it has been for most of the conversation. "As far as my front goes, I have not heard anything from my contacts within the police, or media, Sabbat tend to say out of the law, and my very limited contacts on the street said they are laying low, which is a good thing but a bad thing, for when the Sabbat are quiet that means they are planing something." That blueblood bastard apologizes ? Only because there is another one of us here playing the 'sire' card... But as long as that piece of garbage stops insulting me, that is fine with me... George looked shortly at Archon, before turning to Henderson. "Apology accepted. As to the scum in the east, all is quiet on the Eastern front. They are too quiet, which means they are preparing for a major attack, I think. If we had sufficient forces I would suggest we gather them to bolster our defences and perhaps a temporary alliance with the Anarchs would be a measure tokeep the eastlings at bay..." |

"Indeed if we could ally ourselves with the Anarchs, then maybe we could loose them upon the Sabbat while providing minimal support ourselves as to not decrease our own strength and when they have weakened each other we come in still at full strength or relatively full strength depending on how much support we give the Rebels, and clean house. Leaving dear London firmly within our grasp once more, but then that is just an opinion." Archon said listing of a possible out come and offering to the table of battle plans. |

Now, how would you like going into detail a bit more, detailing the advantages you expect as well as the disadvantages that might interfere with it to get a full view of the matter ? It will still be armchair politics, but at least on a higher level." James replied with a smirk, taking a sip from his glass. "Especially the factor of how to support the anarchs and how much effort you would be willing to invest into this deserves to be mentioned, I guess. So, if you were Prince or a counselor to the Prince and had all ressources of the Domain at your disposal. What would the plan look like ?" |

"Well I would arm the rabble with low grade fire arms and send in ghouls, and Kindred that have proven to be a..liability or could be a liability to the city, thus minimizing Kindred/Camarilla casualties and still allowing us to cull the flock so to speak, to keep the cities strongest well here. The Anarchs would act as shock troops against the Sabbat horde, as fodder to be cast away. Then again we would of course arm ourselves with better firearms better armor, generally better gear." Archon said talking with his hands, his years as a lawyer did that to him. "The down side to this plan however would be splitting Camarilla resources and indeed arming potential enemies. That is using Ghouls that could otherwise be doing more suitable tasks to which they are designed. Then of course there are the Anarchs themselves. They could always turn on us once they have their petty weapons, or they could even try their hand at being clever and devious and double cross us at a pivotal moment in this alliance and and side with the Sabbat and when paired their overwhelming force would destroy us and thus the Camarilla would fall and for the first time in centuries, London would not be Camarilla. Of course that is worse case scenario." Archon concludes clasping his hands together |

George listened to the babble of the blueblood, then Archon finished, he cleared his throat and started to talk. "Objection, sir ! I think, your plan won't work as well as you might think and if allowed, I could tell you a few reasons why, if you ask me... One: The Anarchs aren't a bunch of idiots. Your approach is the traditional way of using them and they expect us to pull this trick... So, if they actually didn't deny us their support, they wouldn't take the fight very far, assuming they still had to fight us. Two: There might be the risk of them just taking the weapons and maybe any of the 'liabilities', as you call them and simply choosing to defend their territory, but they would never side with the Sabbat, for the eastlings are in their eyes even worse than us... Three: Holding back the best troops might be a big mistake, as the Sabbat could easily overwhelm our smaller task force and the Anarchs and then we could lose a lot of territory to them... It should be taken into consideration, that the Anarchs territory is in the North, therefore the main attack will be on us, I think... Furthermore we should consider the low morale of the 'liabilities', as they are forced into the battle and might even consider defecting to the scum." Having finished the long speech, he paused to let the words have an effect, then began to tell his plan. "In my opinion it would be better to supply the Anarchs with the necessary tools for their war and implement the Anarchs into our defense plan not as cannon fodder but as partners, which would give them a bit more motivation to help us. The first step would be the defense of the strategically important points of our territories, which would include Ghouls and some Kindred. This defense force could also take the role of a counter-attack force, just in case that would be needed. The second line would consist of most of the Kindred and some Ghouls and would take the major part in the battle as the main force. There would also be a third and fourth line with the third line consisting of volunteers which take the role of scirmishers to get the scum caught in a war against ghosts so to speak and the fourth line operating in a similar role behind enemy lines..." |

I assume you do not mind if I start off with you, Mr. Hamilton ? First of all, how many liabilities do you expect to have at your disposal in case the scenario mentioned above occurs ? What is more, you suggest that there should be an action against the Anarchs as soon as the Sabbat has been defeated. How much time would you think it takes to repel those savages and clean the city up enough to start the next campaign ? And last but not least, what happens if the Anarch have already been supplied with weaponry that matches thse you would offer ? Mr. Harris, I also have some questions for you. What would you deem 'important points' and how would you scrape together the necessary number of troops to successfully defend them ? What do you think in terms of reserves ? What makes you think we have something like that, reinforcements from out of town excluded ? And what exactly do you mean by 'equal partnership' for Anarchs ? Another point of thought for both of you. We are not talking Napoleonic line tactics or trench warfare here, and there are also quite some humans underway if things get ugly. Please incorporate this into your considerations." |

We aren't talking trench warfare or Napoleonic line tactics and there arehumans around... Of course there are and of course we aren't. Does he think I'm stupid ? George just looked indignantly at the others, before talking. "The 'lines' are a metaphor. I didn't think, I would have to explain that to you. I could also have used the metphor of 'contingents', 'squads' or 'units', if that would be more fitting. The point is, we take everyone able to defend the domain, be they vampires or Ghouls. Then we would ask the Anarchs to contribute and maybe even get a few of their men to us, if they could spare any. Then we would form a force and split it into parts. The first part would be defending the blood supplies and the second would act as reserve. After that we could start getting the necessary troops for the defense of the most important parts of the city. If we had anyone left, we could get some volunteers to take the fight behind enemy lines, but that isn't very likely." After putting his way of defending the city on the metaphorical table, he started to think about the questions and answered any he hadn't already. "We need to have reserves, so we have to spare some of us and some Ghouls to be exactly that. To the equal partnership: In order to work with them ona peaceful basis, we need to get away from the point of Mr. Hamilton, that they are inferior to us and can't be trusted. Exactly this attitude causes them to distrust us. If we were equal partners on the basis of a truce, they still wouldn't trust us, as they would think of hidden agendas on our side but it would be a beginning." |

Plus we have more money and actual resources at our disposal, we could always but the Anarchs. Then again, I am a lawyer, what do I know. Mr.Harris here seems to think all I do is push pens."
