The Times
The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality.

Yeah I'm seriously confused. It looks great but the Sabbat locations are just random boroughs in the east it looks like.

It's important to remember that we don't use all of these locations. Sure they're in london and there's no problem using them, and generally they're gonna be camarilla or, like Waltham forest, I imagine is neutral. Or Garou. But yeah, can't have Hackney and Camden Camarilla just cause of a map of the whole of London.

Anarchs: Form one Bloc by adding Barnet.
Sabbat: Give HAckney, Camden and Islington, take away Bexley.

Even if those territories are not important enough to warrant own boards, they should be thought of map-wise, because the Sabbat would be pretty fucked if, lets say, Caden was completely surrounded by Cam. It'd be gone quickly, Catacombs yes or no.

my 2 cents

Guys, please, give me a "Clear and complete list of who controls what" that you all can agree on, and if possible, make it a "GameMaster Approved" one, and I'll give you the final version of the map.

Or, if you'd prefer, I wouldn't mind starting a bunch of polls to determine the "owner" of every single borough.

The Sabbat is pretty settled in Hackney and Camden, I don't think it would be a good idea to change it radically now. It could happen in game and stuff sure.

And Ren makes a point as usual

It's easy to sit back and just forget
That the world keeps on spinnin' round and round"

I back Renards suggestions, makes perfect sense.

I wonder if maybe adding Barnet to the Anarchs, but seeing as their relationship with the Camarilla differs to that of the Sabbat, I also see no reason why the Camarilla can't have it. Afterall, the Anarchs belong to the Camarilla.

I need to post with Naga.

P.S. I could be a dumbass and not realise Burnet is actually a borough already marked with ownership in the forum. I'M DOING THIS ON MY PHONE!!

Do what Renard says - and what Loki said.

I am at the theatre at the moment but that sounds right.

After that, the map looks like this:

Spoiler: click to toggle

Any other thoughts? Contested areas, neutral areas, or whatever?

Looks real good to me. I think it's perfect actually, and it gives me a good RP idea. I applaud your effort sir, you get, like, +1000 rep with me for this.

I got some serious writing to do when I get home. The Sabbat know what's coming.

Cookies to Jersey indeed. Are you able to put an equally stylish legend on this simply so everyone knows the colours? Most excellent indeed

It might be a good idea to make a solo pinned thread with nothing but the current map, and leave this thread for discussing and stuff. It might get quite cluttered eventually.

Might I suggest we include indicators of the rough location of important landmarks in London from a Vampire point of view. Such landmarks would include:

  • Elysium (Multiple Locations)
  • The Theatre
  • The Prince
  • The Chantry
  • The Baron (Currently holed up in Brent.)
  • The Archbishop (former)

Sure, that was the plan ;-)

Would some accurate indicators be prefarable (effectively pinpointing the exact location of the given landmark), or would it be sufficient to simply indicate somehow what is in each of the boroughs, disregarding the actual locations (either with symbols, or by including a simple list)?

Well its hard to say as the addresses in some cases are fictional, for the Baron though you're looking at somewhere along the borderline with Ealing as she was last seen frequenting that area.

I'd assume the Chantry would be more up towards Richmond-Upon-Thames.

The rest is really conjecture and largely down to Mael/Loki.

With the boundaries of Epping Forest marked out, we now know of one of the locations where werewolves might be lurking...

Added a bar scale.

Also, here you can find the whole thing superimposed on your regular google-map.

I just found something incredibly useful, if you are interested in administrative division of England. If I know this thing existed, making these maps would have been much easier:

http://www.citypopulation.de/php/uk-admin.php

I am seriously considering using it as a basis for any following cartographic efforts for this forum.

It's about time for another London Map update ;-)

New on the map:

- Richmond park: Another Gangrel/werewolf area. Would be even more suitable if, unlike the IRL version, it was covered in more forests.

- London Heathrow Airport

- The neighboring counties / unitary districts = Neighboring domains (for the sake of events related to higher-level politics... Who knows, maybe the vampire Prince of Buckinghamshire or whatever will decide to have a friendly chat with his counterpart in London?)

- Overall more accurate (based on aforementioned "administrative division map"), slightly altered colour scheme.
