The clock had just struck midnight in the Borough of Enfield and Rob Aiken found himself again in familiar territory. It had been a busy couple of weeks since he made his appearance in London. So busy that he had not had a chance to return to the pub where he first entered London since the night he met Nora and Marceline. After so long, Rob had thought that Marceline had forgotten about him. The young woman did seem flustered the night they had met from the attention that she was getting from other Kindred sitting around the bar. He wouldn't have been surprised if the whole ordeal had sent her to a new city or at the very least a new borough as far away as Enfield as possible. And yet here he was standing outside the Night Tripper once again about to meet the mysterious young woman he had met on his first journey into London. Rob walked into the Night Tripper. The pub was just the same as he had remembered it weeks ago. Celebrating and cavorting from the youth of London as well as a few possible kindred within the mix. The bar was an oasis for the Anarch community of London. It did seem to be the place to go if you did not want to be held underneath the Camarilla's boot. Just thinking of that made Rob to become a regular at the pub. He did a survey of the room but did not see Marceline anywhere. Either she was lost in the crowd or she simply hadn't arrived yet. Rob decided it would be best if he would make himself seen. He moved to the bar and took a seat on one of the stools, spinning around to face the crowd. There he would wait for Marceline to come to him. |

Marceline was appearently dressed with the same tank-top she had been seen last time, or at least, one that looked very familiar. On her legs however, the skirt had been replaced by blue jeans, and the sneakers remained the same. Not having a populated wardrobe usually comes to bite you in the ass, rather sooner than later when you make an habit of going out. Her approach was similar to Rob's but much more aimless, it took her a few moments to see Rob in the bar. At first she attempted to wave her hand but the crowd had an habit of swallowing people, so she had to get closer before being noticeable. "Heey" greeted him then, threatening with losing her balance after forcing her way out of the crowd and bringing her right hand to the side of her head, making sure her hair didn't look like she had an afro now. |

Rob stood up and helped Marceline to a stool after seeing the young kindred force her way across the room. "Hey Marceline, it is great to see you again." Rob said, smiling. Although the young kindred seemed out of her element in the Tripper, she seemed to have more confidence from the night before. |

"Thanks" said a bit dazzled at first, before accepting his help to the stool "Likewise! I figured I could give this place a second try and see how things work out? Maybe this time I won't get the entire bar staring at me" and as she said that, her gaze shifted to her sorroundings, just to make sure it wasn't happening again. |

Rob laughed, remembering the day he met Marceline. He had not seen any of the kindred since that night. What happened to them? It was anyone's guess but who cared. Wherever they were now they were not here. At least Marceline could feel safe. "I'm glad you did. Luckily I know most of the people who come in here now. If they come up here, maybe I could introduce you to them instead of them just harassing you and if they do, don't worry I'll put them in their place." |

"You could?" she asked, a bit surprised. Rob was seemingly much more socially apt than her. "I'd like that if we bump into someone like last time, to be honest big crowds, more people around than two, kind of freak me out a little" |

"Don't worry." Rob said, trying to reassure her. "Everyone in here is going to be friendly. They love meeting new people."q He understood what it felt like to be her. For the past nine years Rob would travel from town to town, not knowing anyone, not knowing if someone in the bar was there to do harm or take advantage of them when they were most vulnerable. Whatever he could do for the young kindred, he was happy to oblige. |

"I hope so..." Marceline said, she was really hoping everything would turn out nice. Rob provided some words of comfort that were much needed to calm her usual anxiety, but they would still have to prove themselves true. This night was different from the others, and being ignored proved just as disconcerning as attracting too much attention. What was it that she was supposed to do in this kind of situations? What would a normal person do? Those were the kind of thoughts that bounced inside her head. |
