Oтчаяние (Despair) He had her on the hook deep within the underground ratways beyond the Box, from here you could hear the soft drip as the water of ages seeped through cracks in the mortar onto the filth covered floor. They were underground here but other than that there was no indication of their location, in truth they weren't far from the Box, inside a damp but otherwise clean room. The space was lit by the harsh glare of industrial strip lighting which were secured to the arched brick ceilings by clamp and screw; the floor was plain concrete, clearly a newer addition to the space for the worn and crumbling red brick of the walls were of Victorian vintage, so stained with soot and grime were they. In all the space was no more than six meters by six meters, a single exit secured by a reinforced metal door which showed signs of rust and blood, perhaps where the chamber's previous inhabitants had clawed at it in a desperate effort to escape. Beyond that door lay a maze of seldom lit passageways through which the underground, and a few enterprising Nosferatu went about their business; this particular section of the underground maze was well within the area secured by the Anarchs for their personal use. Since taking up residence in the Box Vasili's chief duty, when not called to the surface by the Baron, was to check the passageways with Barty and Daisy, to ensure that they were clear. He knew these passageways intimately even though it had been mere months since his arrival. He had hunted here, chasing out drug addicts and the homeless, or just chasing them down for a little snack, in any case the tunnels were clear and secured now; with Vincent's aid they had been closed off and fortified. Salvation was unlikely for his fresh catch. Brick, bars, concrete, steel and razor wire; yes the underground network beneath the Tripper was now self enclosed and secure. No way in or out without passing the Box and alerting its inhabitants. Tonight's catch had been the cause of quite a lot of trouble, and would cause quite a bit more he had no doubt; but such concerns were not his. Vasili did not care who this girl was nor why, all he knew was that she had caused trouble, had caused his Zoya to frenzy and that was unacceptable. Now, while Zoya was being seen to by Sullivan and perhaps Vincent he had been left alone with the catch of the day; fresh fish. Orders were to soften her up for the questions that Zoya and the others had for her, he intended to do that literally as well as figuratively. He had bound the woman's hand painfully tight with a thin biting rope that would cut into the flesh; then he had done the same to her ankles before lifting her unconscious form. Now she was hung up on a large hook which held her by the rope binding her wrists; he ripped away what was left of her clothing, leaving her only her underwear - standard KGB procedure for such interrogations. Vasili didn't even give the girl's body a second thought; she might well be stripped bare but he no longer cared about such things. The carnal allure of the flesh was lost on him and the only faint memories of his physical desire all featured the perfect form of feminine beauty, Zoya. It wasn't even a point at which he warred within himself, he simply did not see this woman in a sexual way, that part of his Beast had died long before the embrace; Zoya was the only source of passion in his life beyond the endless rage. As he stood before her he thought only of his task, and the temporary slaking of his eternal desire for violence that it would bring. Vasili was, in many ways like a drug addict, except his drug was the physical manifestation of violence and there was no high. Only in the act of violence was his hunger sated, the moment it ended, the moment he was forced to contain himself then he felt that gnawing hunger, that yearning to lash out again and never stop; it didn't even matter against whom his violence erupted, or why, it didn't even matter to what end. Only two things reigned in his wrath now, Zoya and the expectation of more violence later; Zoya ended the yearning, Zoya was like the purest manifestation of violence and he needn't do anything in order to hit the high; like the act of destroying a man's body with his fists except he needn't raise a finger or dirty his flesh. The expectation of violence on the other hand held him in check through its promise; he might be filled with an infinite core of burning rage, but he wasn't stupid. Sure his general answer to most problems he encountered was to enter a berserker state and smash things (usually the cause of his trouble) but that was just because the act of violence sated his hunger, not because he thought it might fix it. No for him the expectation of violence wasn't necessarily a lack of rage, but rather the period of peace and calm before another bout; sometimes these periods needed to happen otherwise his hunger could not be slaked for long enough. In the room there was a single metal folding chair which barely supported Vasili's weight, and a metal table upon which were arrayed an odd assortment of tools, from pliers to secateurs, screwdrivers to three inch pins; Vasili had no intention on using any of them, he didn't need to. His fists could demolish a person's body more thoroughly than a sledgehammer could demolish a brick wall; given time the same was true for the immortal bodies of kindred. But it wasn't just the fists, with his hands he could crush ribcages and splinter bones, it was all about the right application of pressure. It was time to start working now. Grabbing a bucket of cold water filled from a tap outside the room and threw the icy liquid at the woman's hanging form and continued to do this again and again until she awoke. Darkness... It felt good to sleep. It felt good to shut down but slowly she was starting to get aware from the noises around her. She remained without movements and tried to recognise any smell that was in the air but she quickly noticed that she was somewhere completely unfamiliar. A fear was crawling up within her and she was afraid to open her eyes. She heard someone walking around but she was still slipping in and out of her numbness... Darkness... Had she been dreaming? Was it even possible to dream or were it just mere memories that flashed through her mind every now and then? It was cold around her. She didn’t like the cold. A breeze played around her body and a soft shiver spread through her. Was she naked? What? She moved a little and felt a painful, sharp feeling at her wrists but there wasn’t enough strength in her to wake up... not yet. Darkness... The fog in her mind was vanishing. A moan escaped her as she tried to move a little but a sudden shot of ice cold water hit her. Immediately she opened her eyes and stared upon whoever was doing this. Her body started to tremble. She hated the cold but she also hated fire. She blinked a few times to get the water out of her eyes and shook her head. Her wet hair stuck the sides of her face and against her bare skin. It was only now that she was getting fully aware from her surroundings and from herself. Her eyes franticly searched for any exit or any familiar face but all she saw was this huge man and she was already scared to death. Why was Nora not there? Or Sullivan? Her eyes widened the moment she saw that table with those... more fear grew within her. Those had to be meant for torture. She started to move and wriggle but she was only hurting herself and she was causing cuts to appear on her wrists. The smell of her own blood made her Beast roar and so she calmed herself down. She was weighing her options: either frenzy and risk getting herself hurt without any control over herself or getting hurt by that huge guy, staying calm and at least knowing what was happening at those moments of agony. She decided that control is always the best thing and so she needed to maintain calm which would be the biggest challenge she had ever faced. The girl looked past the man and saw a door. The only door apparently and if she saw correctly there was even blood on the door or was it rust? Please let it be rust! It took a while before she had found any courage to speak and look the man in the eyes. “I’m awake!” she shouted. She cursed in Dutch and shook her head again. Everything was clear in her head now. This was going to be a long night. She was already in pain, not much but still it stung. She was afraid, very afraid and knew she wouldn’t be able to survive this guy. Afraid wasn’t the word. The young one was terrified. “Dude, I don’t mind a little bondage but this is a bit too much. Where’s Nora? I want to see her or Sullivan!” Her tone was angry but only to hide the frightful state she was in. She did one last attempt to wriggle her hands loose but off course it was no use. It only caused more cuts and more blood to seep from it down her arm. “Fuck.” She whispered. “Could you just please get me down or get someone down here? Please?” Her eyes were beginning to fill up with blood tears. It was obvious her torturer wouldn’t have to do much to get her to crack but still she would do anything to survive this. Her father always called her his brave little girl so she could do this, she could be brave... |

Vasili watched the girl as she came to, he watched her wriggle and struggle with her bonds ineffectually; had he not strung her up perhaps she'd be able to get free...perhaps, but as it was that seemed unlikely. This girl was clearly not used to this, had clearly never been trained to endure what she had already been through and was about to experience; very few people had and even kindred whose bodies were remarkably resilient cracked if the right pressure was applied. Oh Vasili knew that torture was not a reliable method of getting information, but he didn't care, out of this one he would peel away the lies and the deceit until there was nothing left; what matter was it to him how badly she suffered? He could put her through pain no mortal could withstand and she would survive, more or less, he also knew that if she did not co-operate he'd have all the time in the world to work on her. Cracking his knuckles loudly as Leslie well and truly awakened he fixed her an evil smile, taking the bucket in hand once more he threw ice cold water over her as she shouted in some foreign language. He didn't much care what language it was, sounded German or maybe Dutch to him, it didn't matter at the end of the day all that mattered at this point was her suffering. If she'd had Auspex Leslie would be able to see an aura of pure blackness boiling forth with only the slightest edges of red rage, even his ever burning wrath couldn't blot out the weight of his sins; the diablerie of his sire. He put aside the bucket and walked around Leslie, taking her in, he smelt her scent and the scent of her fear he noted the blood which trickled from her wrists and eyes and he was pleased. As the Gangrel spoke in English Vasili's smile deepened further; she had no idea why she was here and fearfully clung to names like they'd save her, but down here she had no rights, there was no court nor judge nor jury and certainly no lawyers. He let her wriggle and writhe, he listened to her angry words, translating them in his head into his native tongue and he just smiled. Eyes burning with anger and malice he backhanded Leslie across her face; hard enough to make a mark, but not hard enough to break anything, after all he wanted her to be able to talk. "Who you think sent you down here devushka?" his voice rumbled out, as deep and powerful as he was, as full of anger and hatred; indeed the tone told of barely restrained wrath. It was the voice of demons, the voice of destroyers and one which inspired terror in those who heard it; it was his true voice, the one he used only when he was about his business, the business of violence; "Zhalkiy! You are mine, do you understand?" Without warning Vasili slammed his fist into Leslie's chest; the force of the blow was enough to bruise the girl's petite breasts to the point of bursting and crack her ribs painfully inward. The next blow came shortly after, this one, equally as powerful struck her gut with devastating force; already the bruising of flesh could be seen and no doubt felt, but at this point Vasili had only just begun. The cracking sound of his knuckles created a daunting echo in her mind. The girl stared at his hands. Those were huge and could easily cover her face. She closed her eyes as she saw another bucket with icy water coming her way. Again she shivered and she growled silently. He smiled and as she saw his eyes she swallowed every word that came to her mind. She tried to pull back when his giant hand swung towards her face. The hit caused her head to roll to the side and when she looked back up she laughed and smiled. There were many cunning lines that flew through her mind but she lost every ability to think straight when she heard his voice. It was a dreadful voice. A deep, dark tone that made her cry. Tears rolled over her cheeks as the atrocity spoke to her and gave her the blunt truth. She knew Nora wanted her there but she just wouldn't accept it until now. All hope left her. It seeped out of her like her sobbing tears that were still falling down and leaving stains upon her face. She nodded letting him know she understood. Soon the first blow reached her chest with a tremendous thrust. Her body swung back like a lifeless doll hanging from a string. She shrieked like a cat and hissed with bared fangs. Another impact followed but this time lower, in her belly. She screamed, growled and howled. The reinforcement of her bones protected her only a little bit. She heard and felt herself crack under the brutal force of the giant. Her head hung low and she tried to move her legs. The rope around her ankles and wrists sliced her skin more and more with every movement she made or was made by the hits she received. Words came out between her moans of desperation. The words were Dutch untill she realised he couldn't understand her. "P... pl... please..." she searched for him but her head fell back down. She was used to pain but this was different than when the Tzimisce had formed her body. She knew what was coming. She knew how to empty her mind but now she was taken by surprise and the lack of blood wasn't helping either. Sleep... she needed sleep... darkness was coming back to her. If she fainted she could keep control over her Beast. Both her inside Beast as the one in the room with her needed to stay away... needed to let her sleep. Edited by Leslie, Wednesday, 13. The Bear struck Leslie again, another backhand blow to the face followed by a thundering punch to the gut; after this one blow more or less blurred into another. It was unsophisticated, blunt brutality; he wasn't wasting time twisting the flesh or scratching at her eyes, there was no point, not this early on in the process. For now all that was necessary was that Leslie suffer, even if it were from a thousand smaller hurts he needed to establish a baseline of pain from which to build and the raw aggression of this stage did just that. His punches grew steadily faster and harder, striking from multiple directions not much caring if she was conscious or not; then he stopped and surveyed his handiwork. The hanging lump of pulverised flesh and cracked bones which steadily groaned under its own weight; after the bombardment he'd hammered her with she surely must be suffering. Noting that Leslie had started to black out again Vasili decided to water again, this time he ran a hose into the cell and sprayed her directly from that. It saved time, was more efficient and not only that it offered no respite for the girl whose body he'd started to demolish. It also helped clean away the stains of blood and grime which had accumulated throughout the beating, so he made sure to be thorough, finishing with her face to rouse her from unconsciousness. A wicked thought occurred to the Bear then, not just wicked a thought so vile and evil ever fibre of his Beast screamed at him to do it, to prove his supremacy over this little bitch. Taking one of the blades from the table he cut deep into his own forearm and then held the open wound beneath Leslie's nose...or what remained of it, the wound within reach of her fangs. All he needed to do now was wait, she'd wake soon, she'd be hungry and then, then she would feed; it was cruel, but then Vasili was a cruel creature. He might physically be a man but in truth he was more of a monster than any other kindred he'd ever met and right now there was a black fire smouldering in what remained of his soul. |

1...2...3...4.... Only four? No she must have lost count. Her head rolled to the side when he hit her in the face. She tried to bite him but there wasn't much effort in it. 1...1...1... There wasn't much time between every punch. It was something her parents had told her to do when she was a little girl and when there was a thunderstorm. If you want to know how close it is you have to count the seconds between the thunder and the lightning. Or was it the other way around? She couldn't think clear anymore but the counting helped her to concentrate and ignore the pain. Ignore? Well it wasn't easy but she tried to be brave. Every punch however made her make a noise that was something between a cry and a growl. This was not normal, he was not normal, she was not normal! Why couldn't it be normal, easy and...? Everything had changed but she had never wanted to go along with that change so drastically and now she had to. The girl screamed and cried when she felt another rush of ice cold water flowing over her. Her eyes shot open but everything was blurred so she closed them again. She didn't want to see the face of her executioner nor the devilish smile he might have upon his lips because it would only scare her even more out of her concentration. The rope around her wrists were cutting in open flesh and the water made it sting so bad. Her fingers reached for the hook so she could hold herself up a little and release some tension from her wounds the rope had made. Then she smelled something. Blood! It came closer and closer untill she noticed the scent so close to her face she could probably feed. Was this a pause in his game? She didn't care. She just wanted to feed and without giving it any thought she let her fingers slide of the hook. The rope cut like a million razors and sliced in the raw flesh while she fell a little closer to the source of the scent and she fed. It was fast and animalistic. It was voracious. She just wanted to take as much as she could before he would take this wonderful vitae away. With every gulp she took she felt more and more ashamed for being so bestial. A deep growl started to rumble from her belly. Her Beast started to awake but the extra blood gave her just enough strength to hold it back for now. The crimson fluid created a fresh strong spark within the young Gangrel... no matter how temporary it would be it felt good! |

With that evil grin intensifying by the moment Vasili tore his wrist away from the young Gangrel's mouth, his flesh tore and he felt her teeth and fangs strain under the pressure, but he didn't care; he had barely felt a thing through it all. To the half starved and tormented girl it must have seemed like a lot of blood but in truth it was only a small fraction of what Vasili had available even after he'd burned what he had in the act of torture. Thanks to his diablerie he was now of low enough generation that a little blood lost here and there was of little consequence; combine this with the fact that he fed well and regularly thanks to his current circumstances, well a few drops were by and by inconsequential. So he watched as the blood dripped from Leslie's mouth, not even bothering to address the wound on his wrist which was already being healed by his supernatural constitution. She hung there in front of him, all but naked and drenched, her flesh covered in fresh bruises and the signs of splintered bone, only her face told of what she'd looked like before; broken nose aside he'd taken care not to damage that, after all if she was going to spill her guts to Zoya then she'd need to be able to talk. He could already see the effects of the blood he'd given her, starting to revitalise her body as it coursed through her; such potent vitae he was quite sure she'd never have tasted before. Potent, yes very, but laced with a darkness that perhaps even this little Sabbat whelp had yet to experience, or comprehend. In Vasili ran the blood of Troile, if the kindred lore was to be believed, Troile who had diablerised their own sire just as Vasili had his; this act had brought Vasili closer to Troile in more ways than one, though his subsequent diablerie of weaker kindred had driven him further away and eroded much of his tattered humanity. The diablerie of this young Gangrel tempted him a little, he considered how good her blood must taste and how satisfying it would be to sate his thirst for blood with her vitae; but the temptation did not last long. What would Zoya think? What would she say if she found out he had devoured her captive? She had wanted Leslie for some reason, he didn't care what that was but so long as Zoya desired her he would follow her word; but the moment Leslie was no longer of concern to his beloved, then it would be a different matter. "Do you know why is it that you are here devushka? Tell me your sins against my Zoya that she would have you hung down here like meat." He was closer to her now, his own face directly in front of Leslie's, he'd strung her up at this height for that exact reason so that he was on a face to face level with her. Now he was looking directly into her eyes, boring into her and thinking. |

A loud and angry growl escaped her as he took away his blood. It felt so great to feed from him and she wanted more. She tried to bite him and all you could hear was the noise of her teeth biting nothing but air. She cursed loudly in Dutch. She wanted more!! More of his blood!! The girl started to scream and violently tried to get loose. Fuck! His blood almost drove her crazy. It was like a fire spreading through her and her Beast was roaring on the inside. The blood was starting to heal her body and when she opened her eyes her vision was back to normal. Her eyes were dark and she knew she was close to frenzy. She could feel that typical sensation of fear taking over when she was close to frenzy. She hated to frenzy, she hated her Beast! She was a control freak and a frenzy was the complete opposite of control, something that terrified her even more than the man in front of her. His blood however had the strangest effect on her. It gave her strength and weakness at the same time. She was still wriggling and trying to free her hands. It all made her feel like a monster and the last thing she wanted to be was a monster. She was no monster! MONSTER! MONSTER! MONSTER! MONSTER! The pain she inflicted upon herself was lost in her rage of convincing herself she was no monster but she also wanted more of his blood and the moment her Beast was going to take over something happened to her that only happened once before. Instead of going into frenzy she blanked out for a few seconds. Suddenly her body started to warm up until it almost reached human temperature. Her heart started beating again and then she started breathing. Her body stopped healing because every little piece of power was forced into her being ‘human’ again. With a gasp of air she woke up again. Her body was trembling, her eyes were normal and her voice was fragile and sounded childish. This was her last protection that subconsciously occurred. This was her mental escape of reality. The girl had cracked and was lost. He had broken her down not only bodily but also mentally she was shattered. Her humanity was her only salvation right now. The young one started crying. Every breath was painful but she figured out it was her punishment for being such a monster. “I’ve been a bad girl! No one will ever love me again!” she then stared back at him and smiled in between her sobbing. “But can you feel it? Can you hear it? It’s beating again! Tell them it’s beating again! I never wanted to hurt anyone, I swear! I want to go home!” Leslie stopped crying and screaming and looked down. She tried to see her Sabbat sign on her chest but she couldn’t. Was that home? Did she still have a home? Did she ever belong there? Would she ever belong anywhere? “But I have no home...” she whispered “... not anymore... never again.” She then started crying again and hung there as a strangely breathing corpse. |

Rebel With a Cause
|
The itch to bloody her claws tingled in her eager fingertips as Nora stormed into the Tripper and made a beeline for the Box, practically kicking the door in and stepping down the heavy mechanical stairs with an expression that spoke of nothing but rage on her face. It'd been a ridiculous evening, it was almost sun-up, and she had had enough of this fucking day. She was hungry, but had little time to feed between storming from her haven in Chelsea to here. The fury that Sullivan had instilled in her was threatening to boil over at any minute, but she could give two fucks what happened at this point. She knew Leslie was locked up somewhere and waiting ever so patiently for the beating that was coming her way. While Nora was going to at least be humane enough to let her cower in fear and waiting for the next day and night, her patience was gone and she needed something to rip into that couldn't send her flying across the room or leave broken ribs in it's wake. "Boo-fucking-hoo. 'I'm all alone! Nowhere to go! No one to stand beside me!'" Nora spat mockingly in a sing-song tone as she stomped passed Barty and Daisy who were sat at the cards table. Daisy's hysterical laughter bounced off the dank walls as if a chorus of hyenas were haunting them. Nora froze in her angry strides and whipped around, shooting daggers at the two and regarding Barty with a seething tone, "If you don't take fucking lunatic upstairs in the next thirty seconds, so help me, I will rip her throat out and eat her goddamn vocal chords." Barty stared up at her, dumbstruck by her sudden lashing out, "25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18," She began counting through clenched teeth, glowering at him as he stumbled out of the chair and dragged the laughing blonde mess up the stairs and out into the bar. When she heard the door slam hurriedly behind them, she continued down to the tunnel, where she found Vasili looming before the young Gangrel he had strung up on a hook. "Aww, you got me a punching bag? You shouldn't have, dear brother," She wasted no time as she shoved passed Vasili's hulking frame and spat venom in Leslie's face. She smiled wickedly as she watched the acidic saliva seep into her eyes and burn, laughing as Leslie yelled and moaned in pain, "This is what you're fuckin' boyfriend did, you know that?" Her smile quickly dissolved as she pointed to the poisonous secretion dripping off her K9's, "I thought I'd be kind enough to share it with you since you're the reason he did it the first place." She hissed, breathing in her prey's scent with predatory hunger. The human punching bag was covered in bruises and dried blood. The smell of Vasili's essence was lingering sharply in the air. She licked her lips, feeling the twinge of hunger in the pit of her dead stomach. The girl moaned in agony once more, and Nora swiftly slapped her across the face with sharpened claws at the ready, "Shut the fuck up! You are two seconds away from being sucked dry!" Nora turned away, running her fingers through her hair as the stress began to mount before whipping around and punching Leslie's slumped and practically naked form as hard as she could in the stomach. She felt ribs that had attempted to heal break once more, the girl's torso beginning to feel more and more like ground meat beneath her small, yet powerful fist. Nora slowly peeled the leather jacket she'd been wearing off and tossed it to the side, pulling her long, inky locks into a ponytail and quickly pinning her bangs up and out of her face. She could feel it... feel the urge to rip, shred, and suck threatening to take over her common sense as she looked to Vasili with narrowly thin pupils, wearing the same wife beater Sullivan had torn and stained with her own blood, and panting with a menace that was beginning to match his own. She realized this was perhaps the first time he'd see her visible marks; all the scales that spattered her arms, shoulder blades, and torso in different colors and patterns amongst her existing tattoos. The crazy, bright ass blue cat eyes. The K9 incisors that threatened to tear into the helpless neonate strung up behind her, and were now as lethal as they were painful with some kind of vitriolic venom. She wasn't sure if she wanted to tear into him with her claws for softening up her bitch so fast, or if she wanted to jump in his arms for doing all this for her in the first place...or latch into his wrist that was smeared with his potent vitae he'd allowed Leslie to suck off of... |

Just like that she was gone, his work was done and much more quickly than he'd anticipated; oh well, Kindred bodies might be toughened against the tortures of a dangerous world, but that didn't necessarily mean that their minds were. This little girls who'd been so full of herself, so full of confidence and hope was now a shattered hunk of meat ground down beneath his fists and pulverised into submission. It was beautiful, it was art to be savoured, the violence had been enacted for now and this was the result a once beautiful body reduced to wreckage and once sharp Kindred mind broken down into disparate pieces which caught and fluttered in the breeze. Vasili had half a mind to cut her down and let her recuperate properly so he could start again, but he knew that that wasn't an option; his Zoya would be here soon to see to this bitch's final destruction, or whatever it was that she had planned, either way all he really had time for was more beating and as much as that prospect tempted him he knew it should not be so; if he pushed too hard at this point Zoya's toy would be irreparably damaged. Then there was the squeal and scrape of metal as the door ground open, squeaking on its hinges and grinding against the concrete of the floor; it closed ominously behind the room's new occupant and Vasili turned, stepping aside to allow Zoya to enter and approach her prisoner. She was just as brutal as he had been, she had malice and spite in her scent but at the same time she seemed hurt as though she had just stepped from the torture room herself. Who could have done this to his Zoya? Who would dare and why had he not destroyed them yet? The situation unfolding before him only caused a raising of his rage to almost uncontrollable levels, he wanted to drain this bitch and then tear his way to whoever had hurt his beloved so. His form stood, twitching with evident rage, fists and muscles tense to the point where his flesh creaked under the strain. Looking at his sister's form as she stripped off the leather jacket did nothing to lessen the boiling pit of wrath which seemed all consuming. She was covered in marks, signs of the Beast and the torments she had endured throughout her life, and now her unlife. His perfect Zoya, how she suffered. It was unacceptable, unacceptable! He wanted to scoop her up in his arms and take her away from her, but he knew he couldn't. The chains of her authority held him back, kept him in place behind her as she went to work on Leslie; as much as he wanted to avenge the hurt his sister had endured and as much as he wanted to enter the murderous berserker state and rampage until either he or his enemies were destroyed, he could not do that now. All he could do was try to sooth Zoya through his service, through his loyal devotion to her. He would wait, but his rage and his desire for vengeance would not be so easily forgotten. |

A door cracked and the sound it made echoed in her head like a painful sting. The sound was horrible to the young girl. A woman walked up to her and she frowned. Who was this person? And who was her boyfriend she was talking about? What was going on here? They must have mistaken her for someone else. Her body was trembling and she was so scared of this woman. There was something different about her. It felt more like hatred and pure anger. A feeling that grow more and more intense with every word she spoke towards Leslie. The young Gangrel rather received another beating from the giant in the room than from this woman. Carefully Leslie tried to speak but a swift slap across her face followed with a quick and hard punch prevented her from uttering any words. Leslie moaned and her body cracked under the pressure from the woman’s fist. It took a while before she recovered and she gasped for air when she watched the strange markings on her body. Where the fuck had she been dragged to? Leslie’s mind started spinning again and she felt like she was going to be sick. Then a voice appeared in her head that warned her for three nights! “Three nights” she whispered. What did it mean? It had to be important if she suddenly remembered that but why? The blood she had received from Vasili was already losing its effects on her. Her head lowered and she slipped back into the abyss of her mind. Her dreamful state however was haunted by visions of a man that had threatened her, of Damon who was in pain, of Rob, of the first time she had met Nora and seen Sullivan... she did know this girl. What had happened? It took a while before her false and faint protection of humanity was gone but by the time she woke up again her eyes were showing a red glow. She had stopped crying for a while now and so it weren’t her tears that darkened her eyes it was her Beast that was lurking under her skin. “Nora?” she hesitantly asked. “How long have I been here?” There was so much missing in her memories. She wasn’t sure about the time or how long she had been there. She wasn’t sure about what was real and what not. Had her mind been playing tricks on her? Leslie was tired and felt like giving up but her Beast didn’t want to give up. She tried to hold it back, she really did but she failed. The young one was too weak. She had used up all the strength of Vasili’s blood to escape into a dream she should have let go years ago but she had never really accepted herself as the monster she could be. Maybe it was for the best that Nora was going to put her down after all when a dog isn’t worthy for the fight then it’s useless. Only one remedy for a useless, weak puppy is to kill it... or at least that was how it apparently worked in the vampiric realm of darkness. “I’m sorry” She whispered. The girl knew she wasn’t able to fight herself anymore nor was she able to fight anyone anymore at this point. Her nose picked up on the scent of the Russian’s blood and Leslie growled. Damn he smelled good and his blood had tasted so wonderful. It was something she wanted and needed at this moment. She closed her eyes and started to wriggle. It began slowly at first but it grew wilder and wilder. When she opened her eyes anyone could see it wasn’t her anymore. Her Beast was victorious. “HIM!” she growled. She obviously wanted Vasili, well not really him but his blood. It had given her such a strange feeling and such a powerful boost she just wanted more. Even though her feet were tied together she was able to swing them dangerously around. If she could she would have chewed off her arm to reach him. Wait! She could do that! The girl growled from deep within and her fangs glowed in her devilish smile. She didn’t care for the pain anymore she wanted blood! Blood of the Russian! Her own arms were close to her face and she started to gnaw on her right arm. She tasted her own blood and it only made her Beast roar even more. The bellowing sound of her growling became more and more animalistic with every bite she took from her own shoulder and arm. It weren’t big chunks but more pieces of flesh she tore off and chewed on for a few seconds. Her face had a childish innocence that was combined with pure blankness in her dull, dark eyes. There was no reason in the girl at all. |

Putting the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional'
|
Blood. My teeth are instantly on edge. Whilst I am certainly not a frequent traveller to these parts, and this place even less so ever since the evils I got from coming here, I know that a pub should not have such a stench pouring from it. Yes, even the kind ran by the damned. But the instance I step through the door I stop Linda in her tracks with an arm and shoot her a worried look. Not that she notices with eyeballs rolling back in the sockets, her taste in blood is only my own. A smell that has stuffed my own nostrils for several days now, that has kept me locked up for my own damn safety. Even as Linda bumps into my arm in an oblivious daze, the pain shoots up my side and causes me to yelp. I want to get out of here before I got in, and though I grab her hand to take her away, I stop and peek in. All quiet. All...normal. Hmmm. "S'ok darlin. Guess there's a shindig downstairs." I whisper to her, relinquishing my grip and letting her slip back into her deluded happiness. She skips right past and goes to the bar, undoubtedly being the Barons favourite juice bag came with free drinks at the bar. Sometimes I envy Linda, but then I realise she's going to be dead very soon. So who am I to stop her burning herself out? It's how I would've wanted to go. "FUUuu--" Especially now. My left arm isn't threaded down the sleeve of my jacket as one would expect. It's too busy holding onto the dressing that Linda applied. Smackheads don't make very good nurses, and a few nights back I received quite the boo-boo from an old friend. No not Jack, not that old friend who I fucking hate. Another one. The same friend that shredded my back and caused the deep cut on the right of my chin. Though he does share a similarity with Jack, that before my time comes I'm gonna make sure he's in hell waiting for me. That Gangrel fuck Mickey. It hurts to walk, to talk, to fuck, to think, frustrated isn't the word. I planned to only come here when I needed to, especially after last time. But now? I ain't got anywhere better to go. That and I want to be here. It's a bit of a problem considering my only real, true, don't-want-to-kill-at-this-present-moment friend haunts the place. Is that her blood? That sets in some fear, stops me daydreaming about vengeance and switches my boiling blood to ice cold. Impossible, surely, no way the Tripper would be so calm if their leader was being eviscerated in the basement...Right? Unless... I take sudden steps forward towards the door that I've never been behind. The pain surprises me as much as I expected it, causing a hiss through my teeth. Am I crazy? Not quite, but paranoid, almost certainly. I get a few steps away and stare it down dully. Even if everything is fine and dandy, I don't know if I want to go through there. Who knows what I might see, what someone else might see. Do I knock? Is that stupid? I glance back to Linda seeing she's on her second tumbler already. There could be something terrifying through that door, and not in the way that flying is terrifying. Maybe something I don't want to see, what I don't want someone else to see. "Hey buddy. Is 'She' down there?" Who else could I mean? I don't know the guy but he's got a face like a slapped ass, giving a slight nod. I look between him, the door, the bar, and back. "Go tell her Church wants her." Fuck it, or at least thats my thought as I walk back to Linda. Take thought out of the equation and have a drink. That's how I'd managed thus far. |

Rebel With a Cause

There was a spark of fury in his eyes as they raked over her. She knew the burn of his scrutinizing gaze all too well as he took every visible mark into consideration and began trembling with rage. She would never completely understand the attachment Vasili had to her, but she could try, and be comforted by the thought that no matter what happened, he would be at her side... She wasn't sure if the same could be said about anyone else in their ranks at this point, save maybe Vinnie, but even he surely had a fine line of tolerance to bullshit drawn somewhere. She couldn't be sure of anything anymore, other than the fact that she was fucking hungry and pissed the fuck off at everyone and everything. Leslie's voice made her head snap to attention, regarding the welp who's eyes were now glowing a familiar red with a wry smirk, "I know that look..." She said coyly as she drew near the defenseless girl like a snake cornering a mouse, ready to strike, "I bet the little beasties are driving you mad right now, aren't they? So hungry..." She whispered, tracing her fingertips gently down the side of Leslie's face and along her jaw, "So eager to kill. You can live the pipe dream of mortality all you want, but at the end of the day, you'll always be a monster." She crooned with sardonic spite. Her small smirk grew into a wicked smile as the waif quietly apologized, "Aww, how completely senseless of you. You think apologies are going to get you anywhere down here?" She closed the space between herself and Leslie slowly, her bright blue eyes darkening with menace as she cocked her head and firmly grabbed her by the chin like a mother scolding a young child, "It's my greatest pleasure to inform you that no one will come to your rescue. No one will notice your absence, and no one will hear your screams." Her voice was as cold as ice, her gaze never faltering as she withdrew her hand roughly. It was as if a switch had been flipped when Nora suddenly broke away and drifted silently to the table not two feet away. She eyed Vasili's silent, hulking form carefully before letting her fingers skim over the assortment of tools and instruments laid out on the cold metal surface. It was then that Leslie suddenly cried out, eyeing the Bear with a blood lust she hadn't seen in another creature besides herself in years. Nora's fingers wrapped tightly about the pair of pliers she'd been stroking so lovingly and wielded them like a deadly weapon as she charged toward the near-frenzy welp and forced her chin up with her forearm, putting Leslie in a headlock against the wall. Her eyes assessed the damage she'd inflicted on herself and the pliers in her other hand came dangerously close to Leslie quivering lips, "Let me make two things painfully clear right fucking now: No one gets to fuck you up but me, not even yourself, and I will not hesitate to yank those fucking canines out of your goddamn head. Try me." It was in that moment that she heard the heavy door leading out to the Tripper slowly open, and a pair of footsteps cautiously lumber down three steps, "Uh... Nora...?" Barty's voice called down into the box hesitantly. Nora closed her eyes with rapidly growing irritation, "...What?!" She shouted, not moving one inch from the enforcing position she was in, keeping Leslie's fanged maw from tearing into her own arm. "There's a bloke by the name of Church up here... he wants to see ya..." He called down, ready to backtrack and slam the door shut should the hellcat he was sent to summon come flying at him in a blind rage. Nora scoffed and rolled her eyes; this night was just getting better and better. Just the mention of his name made every dead muscle in her body tense painfully, and now he was here? How the fuck did he time these sudden drop-in visits so fucking inconveniently? "What the fuck ever, send him down than." She called back coldly. What could he possibly want now? He'd pushed himself back into her life without a moment's notice and just as quickly removed himself from it, and left her to pick up the pieces without a second thought. That's how it felt, anyways. Why were the men she'd bothered to give a fuck about suddenly making such a habit of disappearing and reappearing at the most inopportune times, anyways? Was this some sick joke now? She didn't bother to clean up the mess that'd been made or even try to cover it up. Anyone that dared to venture into the Box voluntarily lost all rights to bitch about what they found or saw down there as soon as they stepped through the doorway. A sudden spike of outrage and agitation surged through her being, bashing the pliers she wielded against Leslie's temple with one hard, heavy blow before throwing them to wayside and backing up to assess the damage she'd done. Her eyes raked over the young Gangrel's beaten and mangled body with satisfaction, but stopped dead on her chest. The Ankh that was sculpted into her skin glared at her, and brought back memories she wished she could forget upon looking at it. "That has to go," She whispered fiercely as she neared Leslie again, forcing her chin up with her arm once more and savoring the feel of her fingertips mutating into sharpened claws. They scraped the side of her face and jaw as Nora shoved her head back against the wall and another pierced the tender, barely touched flesh of her sternum. "Tell me, what possessed you to covet such a mark?" She asked calmly as she slowly began dragging her claw down, slicing into the girl's dead skin mercilessly, "Actually... I don't really give a fuck. I'll just cut you here..." her claw trailed to the right, "And here..." it scaled back up savagely, and then to the left, cutting an almost perfect rectangle around the barbarous insignia. Nora licked her lips in delight as she began to slowly rip away the piece of flesh she'd carved out of Leslie's chest and flung it on the ground. "Now that wasn't so bad, was it?" She asked mockingly, folding her arms beneath her bust and admiring her handy work as she took a few steps back. |

Putting the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional'
|
I'm a good listener. So good I can filter through Linda's bullshit about how things were better when she was a street walker, which you'd think I'd be more interested in. But no, I'm staring at that door, as the gent I spoke with timidly disappeared into the unknown. And whilst my hearing isn't as keen as some of my brethren, I hear him faintly call out...and hear her call back. In fucking tongues. Was that her? Jesus. She started smoking or something? She sounded like shit. I glance at my doll and cock my head at her bright and dreamy eyes. "You wait here babe. Get drunk as fuck. I'll be back soon enough." I plant a kiss on her head as I push off the bar (with a little discomfort) and go back to the door. I don't speak with whoever the fuck 'Barty' is, just give him a little salute in gratitude. No wonder I've never been down here. Its fucking terrifying and smells like shit. Or blood, as was established earlier. As I descend I wonder what twisted shit goes on here. I mean, I know it's not a pretty life being an Anarch but it smells like they're butchering livestock. I get to the bottom, just in time to see a hunk of flesh splatter near my feet. If I know back of heads well, and I think I do, then I know that's Nora. I have no idea who the poor fucker is caked head to toe in her own blood, with chunks missing all over, but it makes me feel alot better about my little incident. If not a little sick. "What da fuu-" I have no idea what Nora is doing, but she seems to be...enjoying herself? I take a few timid steps forward and something catches my eye. "Holy fucking nuttballs!" my lips part and my mouth catches some flies as I look at what I can only describe as the biggest human being ever. I thought he was...I don't even know. I've seen horses smaller than him. Shit, I've seen cars smaller than him. This is all making me very nervous, but...I'm fine...right? I mean me and Nora, we're like two peas in a pod. She wouldn't order this dude to kill me, surely. Then again...the more I think about it...we being so similar...and the people I had killed, unwillingly though it may be, they died because of me...and the crazy fucking vibes I'm getting...maybe I'm not as safe as I'd like to be. I pull out a joint and clamp it in my teeth, struggling to find my lighter, one arm in sling n all, as I desperately need some nerves calmed right now. "I uh...guess this is a bad time...?" my voice peaked at the end like a little fucking bitch. That's how I feel looking at this great big fucking...Bear-man. But I have a feeling when she turns around I'm really gonna shit my pants. |

The newcomer entered, this 'Church' from upstairs. Another friend of Zoya's? Must be or she wouldn't have allowed him to enter. As the door slid open Vasili watched the man who entered; pitiful excuse for a kindred, oh yes he could smell the blood of Caine coursing through this one's veins, in fact he could almost taste it. He was small, undefined, looked like the kind of street scum that Anarch chieftains threw about all the time, almost like the chaff the Sabbat used as 'soldiers'. That thought pissed Vasili off, the thought of the Sabbat, the so called Sword, it was all too much and his rage started to snowball; already tense muscles drew tighter yet and his natural aura of menace only deepened, seemingly drawing in and absorbing what little light and happiness there was down here. With a swift movement he slammed the door shut behind Damon and followed his every move; if Zoya spurned this man now then there was nothing to hold be the full extent of Vasili's wrath. |

'I want blood blood blood! My arm tastes great! But it hurts... why? ?... and my face and eyes are stinging... pain, pain, pain, pain... hurt... Nora! Beasties, monsters, monsters, monsters........ ME! I want blood! Bite, bite bite... Mad, crazy, insane, MONSTER! Oooooh arm!' She took another bite and had to pull her head back to tear the flesh of her arm but because she was tied up she wasn't able to get her head far enough and so she let the piece hang on her arm. 'There's another arm... more blood! My blood! I'm yummy!' she licked her lips and the moment she turned her head to start chewing on her other arm Nora pushed her head back. She felt her body swing back against the wall and her head bounced against it with a painful thud. She stared into Nora's eyes and smiled right before she tried to bite her. 'Blue eyes! Pretty blue eyes, like sky... sun! No, no, no, PAIN... sun hurts. Blue eyes, eyes, eyes... yummy Nora... eyes, blood, big guy!! Arm. Fangs, my fangs, my pain... NO! My fangs! Mine, mine, mine!!' The girl started to wriggle and bite and howl and growl! She wanted to get loose, she needed to feed! She was so hungry, so damn hungry. When she heard the name Church she started laughing like a hyaena. Who the hell called himself Church?! It was almost like Nora loosened her tension on Leslie and so she tried to nibble on whoever's arm was close by. She didn't even notice Nora's hand gripping around the pliers because she was so focused on getting blood. The blow she received on her temple caused the light in her head to go out and then there was darkness again. With a moan she slowly came to her senses while she felt a painful burn all over her face and her eyes. What had happened? There were moments missing and there were flakes of memories coming and going like waves on a beach. She groaned and tried to catch Nora's eyes. "Mark?... I belonged to him, to them." she slowly said with a cracked and trembling voice. The young Gangrel felt the tips of the Baroness claws scratch against her skin. It hurt on her already sensitive, slightly burned skin because of the acid spit from Nora earlier. Her eyes widened when she felt her cut in her skin around the Sabbat sign on her chest. Her mouth dropped open and the strangest thing was that she only felt the physical pain, emotionaly she was numb to the removal of something she had once been so proud of. Her eyes followed the piece of skin while it flew through the air and landed on the ground in front of an unknown man. Everything around her seemed to disappear and all she saw was Nora. "It... it... wasn't indeed." she whispered more to herself than towards the woman in front of her. "Why are you so angry Nora? I don't get it... I have never done anything wrong to anyone of your sect on the contrary I only fucked one! So enlighten me! What the fuck is your damn problem?" she didn't mean to shout that loud but her emotions were going every direction probably because of the lack of blood. "Why Nora? Why?" she suddenly started sobbing again. It didn't take long before the signs of her frenzy became visible. The stripes from her back started to expand to the front. On her entire belly a maze of fury stripes was formed. It now was a beautiful unity with those from on her back. Edited by Leslie, Thursday, 28. March 2013, 21:44.

Rebel With a Cause
|
Nora registered another body entering the room in the back of her mind. There was a sick sort of satisfaction festering in the pit of her stomach as she looked upon Leslie's unconscious form, fueling her temper like lit matches with gasoline. The smell of cheap perfume and barely tangible fear lingered from Damon, wafting under her nose deftly. She closed her eyes and sucked in a breath, a shiver of delight running down her spine. Her hunger was paramount, making every ache and pain she felt in her body pulsate with need. She looked over her shoulder, her bright blue eyes regarding her ex-lover with emptiness. Her lips were pressed in a hard-set line, but slowly, they turned up into a menacing grin, "I'm not having a bad time," she turned to face them, her gaze moving past the tentative Brujah before her to settle on the Russian's colossal form that was shadowing him, "Are you, Vasili?" Her pupils were reduced to thin slits, with a bloodied lip and bruises running from her jaw all the way up her cheek, her stance slightly hunched as she tried to nurse the broken ribs she was suffering with; all evidence of Sullivan's strong hand and equally powerful kick. She was splattered with Leslie's blood, and even some of her own, yet she still smiled, as maniacal as it was. She suddenly began moving, stalking towards the door that Damon had just entered from and throwing it open, wincing as she did so, "Barty! Bring the girl down here! I've got some goodies for her!" He would know who she wanted, but at this point, he could have shoved anyone into the pit of the Box, and she'd annihilate their mortal coil just the same, and suck them dry of every ounce of blood that was pumping through their warm body. All the while, Leslie had been screaming at her, desperate for answers and probably driving herself crazy trying to understand why she was here to begin with. Part of Nora's psyche tried to reason with the growing animosity that was taking over as she finally looked to Leslie's beaten and broken self still strung up behind her, but that voice of reason was quickly silenced as her seething spite reared it's hot head back into view, "Why?" She repeated the girl's question quietly, taking a few steps towards her, "Why am I so angry?" Her mockingly sympathetic tone became more of a hiss, "You see, the Anarch you fucked, Rob Aikan was his name, don't you remember? Well, he's been missing for quite some time." She closed the space between them, placing a strangely gentle hand on her belly and smoothing it up and down, as if petting her, "And the last time he was seen or heard from," She continued, her hand slowly creeping up over her butchered sternum, "He was with you." She growled, her hand shooting up beneath her chin, her finger wrapping around Leslie's throat in a vice grip. There was a soft knock at the door, and moments later, Barty was shoving Linda into the Pit without a word and swiftly closing the door behind her. "Nora?" she gulped, shuffling around Vasili's gargantuan form to practically cower at Damon's side; she'd never seen the Baron like this, nor did she want to, "I... Um, he said you had-- Oh, shit!" She gasped, her doe eyes looked like they were about to pop out of her skull when Nora released Leslie's poor windpipe and turned around to face her, "Y-you look hurt... Are you alright?" She stammered, knowing that look she was getting and crawling in her skin as she tried to back away and collided into the thickly muscled wall that was Vasili. She jumped and scurried back to Damon's side, watching Nora like a skittish, cornered animal. She could hear Linda's heart thundering in her chest, the sickly sweet aroma of her perfume and alcohol permeating the air as she began to tremble and sweat. Nora regarded the pair with burning red eyes, her want and need becoming blatantly obvious as she began to stalk towards the waif-like junkie, her sights set on her pretty little neck, "I will be," she whispered darkly, cocking her head as she stopped in her tracks and looked at the two of them. Something between jealousy and heartache made her blood boil; Damon was the one man she wasn't supposed to be with, he was supposed to be off limits, and he surely shouldn't be here right now. It was easy to see what he'd been doing since they'd parted ways, and it only slightly infuriated her. Try as she might to see things clearly, her Beast refused to let her let him go, and the bitch that'd been keeping him company needed to go. Now. A growl rumbled in the back of her throat as she stared at them, primal instinct taking over as she bared her teeth and her eyes narrowed on Linda dangerously. She lunged at the tweaker with the prowess of a lioness taking down a gazelle, pushing her out from between Damon and Vasili and pinning her to the concrete floor just three feet away from them. Nora wasted no time, quickly straddling the blitzed human before she knew what hit her and tearing into her throat with ravenous need. She forgot about the lethal secretions that were seeping into Linda's bloodstream as she simultaneously pulled and sucked on her ravaged neck. She stopped long enough to moan in approval, gulping down the languid, cocaine-laced vitae with reckless abandon. Her pulse was slowing, her heart was beginning to palpitate as the venom circulated through her body at rapid speeds, but Nora kept feeding, desperate to suck and swallow every last fucking drop she could manage to pull from the helpless kine trapped beneath her. Death became her as Nora finally removed herself from her drug infused gluttony and rolled off the lifeless woman. She curled into herself, wincing and gasping as her cracked and splintered ribs began to rearrange themselves as they were before Sullivan's boot knocked them out of place. She slowly pulled herself to her feet, popping her jaw back into place and looking at Damon and Vasili with a defensive expression, "What? I was hungry." She finally said, turning on her heel and focusing back on Leslie. "You still look confused, Leslie. Have you figured anything out yet?" She asked sincerely, composing herself as the humanity in her being began to resurface, "You know what, just shut the fuck up and I'll enlighten you." Nora crossed over to the lone folding chair and dragged it in front of the young Gangrel, sitting down and peering at her with a solemn expression. "I sent Vinnie and his boys to bring you here to prove a point. I specifically warned you to keep your fucking ass out of my territory, and you deliberately disobeyed me." Her face was stern, her eyes locking on Leslie's, "I'm not a bitch to be fucked with, as you now know. But you couldn't come that easily could you? All of this could have been avoided if you didn't put up such a fight. Not only did you ruin my evening, but just about everyone else's in this room, save perhaps Vasili's. Why am I mad, you ask? Because I was demented by your cocky ass little boyfriend. Because I frenzied, and am now among the likes of a fucking spitting cobra. Because I got to take a beating from my own fucking mate, and because now, being so hungry, and so pissed the fuck off at you, I took it all out on a junkie that just wanted to get her kicks like I did. Sucks to be her, huh?" She nodded to the deceased Linda sprawled out on the floor in a bloody heap. Nora's shoulders sank as the gravity of the current situation set in. She was stuck in a room with a sword sister, who surely already had her other brothers and sisters alerted of her capture. The one man she was supposed to be avoiding like the plague was standing in the room, doing nothing to calm her nerves or ease her strain, and her favorite blood doll was now dead and gone. "Enough about me though; where the fuck is Rob, Leslie? Did he come to his senses and get as far away from you as possible? Or did you get him killed?" She rose out of her seat and crossed her arms beneath her bust, her thoughts on what she was going to say next already beginning to send her anger into a tailspin, "I swear to fucking God, if you somehow converted him, I will end you right here, right now. Then I'll track him down, and I'll do the same to him. I don't care if I have to level all of Hackney and Camden to find him. I'd rather see him die by my own hand then let your filthy excuse for a 'family' corrupt him anymore then they already could have." |

She nervously watched every movement Nora made. Her eyes were still sore but she kept them open so she wouldn't miss anything from what was happening. It took a lot of concentration not to fall back into slumber. Girl? What girl was she talking about and what goodies? She thought it was impossible but she even got more scared than she already was. Not to mention that the appearance of that other guy made her worry about what else was going to happen. Was this some sort of show to make sure everyone knows Nora can't be messed with. A painful rigidity was spreading through her entire body. The fact she had been hanging there for a while, had lost lots of blood and was beaten to a pulp was starting to get too much. Her body and muscles were getting tense and sore. The tired she got the more she started to wish Nora should just kill her. Weary and strained she stared at Nora who finally decided to explain a bit of her anger and worries. The Baroness hand was softly rubbing her belly and unwillingly she purred and closed her eyes. The gentle touch arose a disturbing ease within her but it quickly vanished when Nora snatched her by her throat. Her eyes shot open as she tried to wriggle and stared down in Nora's blue eyes with a fearful look. Before she was able to compose herself a knock came on the door and a girl entered. A human that looked as terrified as Leslie was. The poor thing, it was like watching a snake playing around with a tiny mouse. Leslie shrieked as Nora jumped to the girl and completely drained her from all her blood. She could smell the blood, it was filthy blood not the type of fluid she liked but at this moment she was so hungry it made her Beast roar again. The young one watched and listened while her mind was spinning. Rob? What had happened to him? She had been wondering the same thing for a while now. Beating from her mate? Sullivan? She had never thought he would be like that but off course the state Nora was in earlier probably wasn't too easy to handle. When Nora got up and stared at her with a dirty and menacing stare Leslie just gave up. She started talking. "I'm tired Nora... I'm sorry for all the mess but honestly I was not trying to convert anyone. And Rob? I don't know, I really do not know. I thought you had him under your tumb. We had a rule not to talk about our sects. It was just him and I when we were together. I would never hurt him or let him get hurt. The only thing I can think of is that his past caught up with him again and that he had to leave." She shook her head and moaned in pain when she suddenly twitched nervously. "Family? Really Nora, my family? Things are not what it seem. The only real family I had was when I was human and they have been taken away from me. Lately I'm always on my own because it's easier that way. I refuse to follow certain rules and I don't believe every fairytale they present those idiotic shovelheads." she shivered. "Such a weird and unnecessary concept." she whispered very silently. "Get it over and done with Nora! I know you want to so just do it! Fuck it and kill me!!" she angrily screamed. Rob gone, her beliefs gone, her old master gone even her sanity was faded at the moment. She was worn and her mind was torn in pieces and bruised and mutilated just as her body. She had no vigour left to keep going especially because she had just admitted for the very first time she was doubtful about her so called family. It was a dumb thing to admit but she was certain these were her final minutes and that nobody cared for her. Unlife would become unbearable with all the doubts, worries and unanswered questions about Rob and why she was feeling like this and so lonely. Final death would be convenient. |

He listened to the exchange of words, he listened to the sounds of the young Gangrel as she hung in place and he listened as Zoya had fresh meat thrown into the cell; he listened to it all but he did not care. The scorching flames of his fury were hidden within the embers, crackling a red orange glow from within a hardened shell of ashes; he could smell the mortal as soon as she was brought down into the Box, her blood laced with alcohol and some other things, a sacrifice then to fuel the deeds in this room. The meat spoke, it stammered trying to find words to express the horror of her situation; perhaps she realised what was about to happen, perhaps not it didn't matter, all that mattered was that it happened, all that mattered was that there was blood. Blood there most certainly was, Zoya was not efficient about its extraction but then Vasili could hardly say he would be in her position; gore rapidly spread from the ruin of the girl as the physical form which had held her to life was obliterated in the most satisfying of ways. Droplets of blood flicked over the bare flesh of Vasili's arms and he carefully ran a finger over each one in turn, licking the alcohol laden liquid as though it were sugar. It wasn't enough, not nearly enough to abate the hunger; he would need more before this night was through, but unlike Zoya he had not burned through blood like a fire burning paper and more he had a steady supply from which to feed. He could see the Beast rise in Zoya as she tore apart this girl, then he watched as it slipped back; his own Beast, barely discernable from his 'normal' self mirrored it, rising until a palpable cloud of rage and malice filled the space around his hulking form. A dark, thunderous rumble ground its way up from within his chest; his eyes were transfixed on the bloodied forms of Leslie and Zoya; the rumble continued, becoming louder and booming until it filled the space as much as his aura did. It was the sound of his diabolical laughter. He could not clearly understand everything that had been said in those last few critical moments since Zoya's attention had returned to Leslie; his mind had been preoccupied momentarily with the taste of the now dead human's blood, and they spoke so quickly and in pressured tones that it was hard to discern where one word ended and another began, but he picked up the gist of it. Leslie was screaming for her own death; not a whimper, nor begging, she was screaming; that was fire and Vasili preferred his foes to have fire. So far he'd not seem much in the way of action since he'd arrived in London, save for a brief skirmish with Vinnie's goons upon his arrival followed by an unfinished brawl with Sullivan soon thereafter; but if this little, nay tiny girl had this must fire in her then perhaps the rumours about a war coming to London might just be true and maybe the Sabbat here were the foe he'd been looking for since Budapest. |

Rebel With a Cause

If she didn't know any better, it sounded like Leslie despised her own pack almost as much Nora despised her in some ways. Interesting how these tables were turning when the mention of her old flame was brought up. This girl was young, stupid, and ignorant of the world around her and all the darkness that lurked within it. Nora wondered what exactly brought her here in the first place; how did she get caught in the Sword's clutches? Was she a shovel head, or worse, did she actually choose this fate for herself? It was strange, looking upon this girl in this light, or lack thereof. She was beaten, broken, yet she still clung to her humanity like a vice despite how willing she was to gnaw off her own arm not ten minutes before. It was rather astounding how much Nora saw of herself in the skinny little thing that was strung up before her, not that she'd ever admit it. All the while Leslie had been babbling about not knowing this and not knowing that, Nora simply stared at her in silence. Her expression was empty, but her eyes were twinkling. It was amusing, to say the least, watching another cycle through so many emotions in a span of three minutes. Then she begged for her death in a burst of anger and defeat. Was this girl mad? Getting there. Was she broken? Most definitely. Did she deserve final death? Fuck no. The sound of Vasili's rumbling laughter rang in Nora's ears reverberating off the dank walls of the pit with a nice twang of menace. She turned her head to regard the Russian, looking back to Leslie with a quirked brow and a wry smirk as she giggled, "You think I'd let you have it that easy? And I thought I was fuckin' high!" Vasili's wicked laughter was contagious as she moved closer to Leslie, "You know, for someone who says they don't believe in fairy tales, it looks like you've been trying to live in one for quite some time. Who let you think that frolicking wherever the fuck you wanted and doing whatever damn well pleased you was okay? You're in London! Not Narnia, for fuck's sake!" She shook her head and reached out to stroke the girl's face, "So young, so naive... So weak." She swiftly slapped Leslie across the face, "You're a fucking Gangrel! We don't beg for our death, we meet it head-on with a smile on our face and we fucking fight!" She held up her now lethally clawed hand before the girl's face as a growl rumbled in the back of her throat, "You use the gifts Ennoia gave you and take as many miserable fucks as you possibly can with you to the grave, but never, ever, fucking ask for it again." Nora backed off, kicking the chair away from her before whipping around to face Leslie once more, "I didn't bring you here to beat an apology out of you, I brought you here to teach you a lesson. Have you learned anything or must I continue beating it into your thick skull? You're tired? Bitch, please. If you're tired, I'm fucking exhausted, but am I complaining? No. I have more important things to do than bitch about how tired I am. This war that's coming our way won't stop just because I'm tired. I tried being nice about all this in the beginning, but no one takes you seriously when you're kind and compassionate. Another lesson you'd do well to learn..." She let out a long sigh and shook her head, running her fingers through her hair, "As for Rob..." She returned to her former place standing before her, hands poised strikingly on her hips, "I hope for your own sake that his past caught up with him. You think I run my ship like the Capes? You're sorely mistaken. Rob was never 'under my thumb', he is my friend, and one of the truest Anarchs I've ever had the pleasure of meeting...damn Yank." She spoke of him with reverence and recalled Rob Aiken's mischief with a small smile before looking back to Leslie, "Seems you two have the inability to listen in common." Nora finally turned away facing Damon and Vasili with a faint expression. Her eyes fell on her ex-lover with some irritation, "I don't even know why you're here, but you can get out now. Don't worry about Linda. I'll have her taken care of." That being said, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and sent a text to Vinnie before looking up to Vasili, "I'm staying at the Dream tonight. Would you like to join me, dear brother?" She smiled up to him sweetly before drifting towards the door and opening it to usher Damon out, waiting for the Russian's final verdict. |
