That won't ever happen. The first Anarch to touch you here starts a war with us...and that's just that. Now, As for ghouls...I've never had one...but my sire did...as well as my bosses. My teams in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia and The Congo all had ghouls in our hidden locations...they are very useful, especially when you consider day time defense...the best ghouls I've seen though...and I hate to admit it...belong to the Ventrue and the Tremere cause they can pluck things out of their ghouls minds that they don't want known. As for use keeping one here, we can always test the waters with them at their own place before bringing them on here...but I'm used to having a ghoul around...just that you gotta remember, like any other addict, and that's what they are...blood junkies, some are functional and some are not. Ares locks up the doors behind them and heads on down the hall towards the steps, stopping by the elevator door. He gives Ronnie a look that would suggest that the elevator was intentionally compromised. |

The Tremere and Ventrue could pluck things out of their ghouls minds? "They can do such brain fuck also to kindred, canīt they? My Sire warned me thatīs itīs risky to be with a Tremere or a Ventrue alone in a room, and that if I canīt avoid this I should try not to look into their eyes. They mind get tempted to brainfuck me." So it was quite a risk to go to Jeremyīs flat. But Ronnie could still remember he had been there, so hopefully the Ventrue hadnīt fucked his brain, or maybe Ronnie wouldnīt even notice if Jeremy had. Some ghouls were functional, some not? But you couldnīt really know that before you ghouled someone. So you simply had to test it. And if the ghoul proved to be non-functional? Didnīt that mean that Ronnie would have to "depose of" the ghoul? Ronnie didnīt like that thought at all. So he hoped he was lucky and it went all right. "Yeah, Iīll better test out the ghouled person a bit first. He might mess up things otherwise. It is sometimes a bit bad not to be able to do things in the daytime, would be quite handy to have someone who can do that for us." Well, that was the least Ronnie could do for Ares - that he could make use of the ghoul, too. "Gosh, youīve been to lots of countries. And the Camarilla is even in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq? Makes me wonder if some wars between mortals are just a cover up for wars of the Camarilla against the Sabbat." |

Ares nods. Some of the shit I've seen has been counter Sabbat measures, a lot too has just been capturing Red List guys...and some just cause we got paid to do a job mortals couldn't be able to do. Having that track record of successes earned our boss ckout in both the mortal and in kindred society...he went from a nobody Ventrue with a dream to being looked at by the Justicars now...or so he likes to brag...me, I just like getting paid to be a soldier and kill Sabbat assholes. You know, after I train you up a bit, I could talk to my old boss about bringing you on with me when I decide to end my vacation here.... he says the last part like if he was on sabbatical. The steps creak and echo as he places his heavy boots down on them...he stops, listens, looks over the railing and then continues heading downstairs. |

"Oh, so youīre just on vacation here, well well..." And Ronnie, at the moment he was still here because of his dad, but why should Ronnie want to stay here forever, even his dad was not a good enough reason for that. "Ah yeah, that would be great. I donīt really fancy staying in the same city forever. Until now I stayed 4 or 5 years in each place, but just in Austria and Germany until now. Mr. Blücher mocked me by asking me if he should give me a tourist visa for London. Well, but itīs boring to be in the same place for too long. I would love to get around a bit in the world. But Iīm not a bloody tourist. That Boss of yours, is he very much like a typical Ventrue? I donīt mind, as long as he doesnīt treat me as if Iīm a doormat. I got along with little money quite well until now, so money is not that much of a temptation for me - but I like adventure. It would be boring to live somewhere where itīs quiet and peaceful, nothing much happening. I donīt enjoy being lazy, I like action and challenges." If he got involved into any such serious war stuff, wouldnīt he harden up quite a bit then? Likely. But very likely he wouldnīt even feel bad about it when that came creeping along. |

He's a typical Ventrue...but honest about it. He will let you know up front that his bottom line is profits and status and you are a means to an ends for it. Live, and accomplish the mission and you will get paid well...and destinguish yourself....but like I said...he's very upfront about it. I respect that. Let's me know I don't have to trust him...and if he was gonna stab me, it won't be in the back...I'd see him coming. So, you're German? Where from? |

"Backstabbing is awful. Good to know heīs not like that. Ventrue seem mostly to be interested in gaining power and status. I wouldnīt mind to help someone with that if I can get a gain from that as well. And better an honest shark than a dishonest one. Iīm half English and half Austrian, not German. I grew up in Vienna. I wouldnīt want to live in Vienna any more though, with all those Tremere there...the Tremere are eerie somehow, with their magic, with them you donīt really know what to expect. No wonder nobody trusts them. Arenīt men in Greece and down in the South there generally quite short? So youīre the big exception." |

Ares laugus. HAhaha...I've been that exception all my life...When I met the Prince of Athens, she mentioned that as well...but your smart and observant...We Greeks are typically not such a big tall group...heheheh...we just act that way...Spartan. Oh...good, I found a place on my phone. Spoiler: click to toggle Ares shows Ronnie what found and heads towards the auto parts store. Once inside he quickly grabs the parts he needs, plus a few others so as to not seem so suspicious and then heads back to the haven for assembly. You ever seen anyone make one of these before Ronnie? |

"What if I get the same stuff - I would like to have such a thing, too." So Ronnie bought the same material. "No, I have never seen that, but I would like to learn to make such a silencer. Then I would have one, too." Surely that was also cheaper than buying one. "In Vienna my Sire lived in a commune, with other Brujah and their ghouls. He took me there when I didnīt have a clue yet that he was a vampire. I liked it a lot to live there with the others. I had been living on the street before, I had no home because I ran away from home. There in that commune, that was the first place where it really felt like home, and the people there were a family of the positive sort." |

He nods, knowing what Ronnie was saying. It made him think about all the places his sire brought him to. . .to have shuffled around half of Europe and met so many Brujah...most of whom were probably either dead or sleeping now. There wqs a community between the members of Clan Brujah, despite it being such a fractured, loud, and bellicose group. That facet of being a Brujah, or at least the aspect his sire wanted him to see, reminded him of the large family he grewpup with in that small Brooklyn apartment. Yea...its good you got to see that side of us...I always have felt more at home with our own than away with the others...we get our own kind more than the others do. Despite tonights theatrics with the Anarchs. So, since you have your own parts, it will be a good lesson for you on how to make one of these. ![]() ...and so assembly is relatively easy. You do this...then that, take out this....screw that on...add on that....then ![]() Now, putting it together is actually very easy...you can watch it on the computer...on that Youtube website. There are a lot of useful things like this there, but what I'm going to teach you won't be found there. This silencer won't last forever. ..there not made for this...usually, you should get rid of it after you have fired off about 75 to 100 rounds...which by that point, you should be an expert at using. The trick is adjusting your natural aim back to the sight posts when you don't have the oil filter attached to the end of your gun. Since your gun's sight posts are blocked by the size of the can, you have to aim differently. Here...take this spray can and go paint a few targets on the wall...preferably small targets, so you learn to aim better more quickly. Ares tosses Ronnie a spray can of black paint the says Oh, by the way, save some paint for later, we have to spray down these oil filters to black, this can is not very tactical. . .know what I'm saying? |

"The Cammie Brujah I got to know in the different cities I lived in - some have quite disliked me, but at least they were honest about it. And they wouldnīt have done any backstabbing or say something bad about me to members of other clans. My best buddies were almost all Brujah. And of course itīs risky to trust any Non-Brujah. Well, and the Anarch Brujah...they tend to be a league of their own. By the way, the meeting of the group who is supposed to fight against the Sabbat soon ended after you left. And one of the Anarchs said George should break your neck. That was Aguirre, the woman with the long brown hair. She thought you only want to use the others as a meat shield. Shame really. She seemed to be quite sensible otherwise. She was so pissed off that she left, too. And then George decided to end the whole meeting." Ronnie listened and watched attentively when Ares described and showed how to make a silencer. Ronnie managed to build for himself such a silencer, too. He caught the spray can that Ares threw to him and went to the wall, painted some quite small targets on it. "This silencer is massive...yeah, and bright blue would make it for the enemy too easy a target to hit." |

Ares smirks...repressing a soft chuckle. That scrawny little girl? I ain't worried about her...or any of the Anarchs for that matter. . .She doesn't walk with enough confidence...doesn't have the eyes of a killer...not a true one anyway. Putting down his gun and picking back up a knife to sharpen another wooden stake he pauses. you become a different person once you take a life...and the more you do it, the easier and easier it gets to do it. and the more you do it, the further from humanity you are...I've been a trained combat killer from probably before she was born...I'm not worried about her...I bet she was stupid enough to talk shit about me after I left too? I will give it to her...she has spirit...but if she had that killer instict...or guts...she would have said something to me while I was standing over her friend about to stomp a mud hole in her chest...shit talking after I walked away means nothing to me. Now, as for Primogen Harris...I feel bad about that. When that girl mouthed off yet again, for some reason, she got under my skin. I knew better, but as long as I've lived, I have had to learn who I was and at what threshold I break at and the beast takes over. I admit...getting mouthed off by a cheap mercenary with no real combat experience shouldn't get under my skin so much, but I've been in real combat since the 30's and know liability when I see one. George must be able to see that, he's experienced enough...you can tell by looking at him. He knows it and I know it...a mouthy fool like that will only do one of two things, get herself killed or get one of us killed. I didn't mean to call her cannon fodder, but she really is a dead man walking if we come up against any hard core fighters. All I saw was her moving her lips...start trouble, and get her ass whooped by the old man. I know I messed up though and owe George...but I didn't waste her on the floor as I wanted to, which would have been worse. But to be honest, if George is really planning on having them mouthy braggers tagging along after paying them off like a bunch of seasoned mercs, knowing full well that they are really just a liability, then I might have been better off just stomping her to death. Shed be better off dead on the floor there than getting us killed on mission. Ares has a cold, serious look on his face, his eyes are soulless, and as he talks, his even tone never once breaks with any emotion...all made more intimidating as he holds the knife in his hand. He pauses to look at the stake he carved while he spoke...the darkness in his soul evident as he makes no qualms about murdering any of the Anarchs. There...now that is a good stake. You ready for target practice? I can work on tactics with you at the same time if you're ready. I'll show you room clearing and target acquisition. Ares rises and grabs some red spray paint and puts a few dots on the wall along with what Ronnie was painted. |

"No, I donīt think Aguirre would have the guts to try to kill you herself, she was just being a loudmouth behind your back. That blonde bitch - yeah, on that mission we surely would do a lot better without her. I also donīt fancy dying just because she makes some stupid mistake. And she claims to have been a scourge of the Camarilla, I really find it hard to believe any Prince would give her the licence to kill. I thought to myself that surely just a Malkavian would be crazy enough to do that. I just hope George isnīt that desperate for volunteers that he accepts anybody and everybody for this mission. Better to go into such a fight with just a few reliable people than a dozen bitches like her. Maybe if you talk to him about this he will agree? I can give you his phone number if you like, I donīt think he would mind if I do." Ronnie watched Ares painting red targets on the wall. "Yeah, Iīm ready for this." |

He picks up two pistols with the silencers on them, unscrewing one of them to illustrate his lesson. Ok...normal targeting, you know how you point the front site post on your target, giving you the left and right aiming points, then adjusting your hand to put that front sight post between your 2 rear sight posts, the part closest to you, giving you the up and down aiming points... he says, showing Ronnie with the unsilenced gun. With this canister ay the end of the gun, none of your sights matter, so you have to get a feel for the gun and put the top of the canister just above the point you want to shoot at...this is where it gets tricky and practice makes better...at shorter distances, you don't need to put the gun up as high as you woupd for longer distances. I won't boar you with the math behind it. He shows him with a quick shot at the wall with the silenced weapon from about 15 feet away...putting a shot dead in the middle of one of the painted targets...then handing him the weapon as he screws back on the other silencer. Now...take a few shots and I'll show you "the stack" and how to do room clearing and we'll take shots at the targets we painted on the wall...first we will go through and walk, slowly aiming at the black targets and avoiding the accidentally shots at the red ones. After a few times we will repaint and tape up wholes and do it for speed...by the time we're done I'll have you feeling real confident with the makeshift silencer and target acquisition during urbanized warfare...which, for a Brujah, is a great skill to have in your tool kit, even if you don't plan on becoming a mercenary. So, by the way, which martial arts forms do you do? he asked, with his facial expressions changing slightly as he went from instructor mode to talking to you as more of a friend or colleague. |

It takes a second, but Ares pauses...That Jelena girl was a Sherrif or a Scourge? Hmmm...I thought that other Anarch said she was a Scourge? The one with the New York accent? I swear she looked familiar, I swear I seen that face before, but I don't know. . .We didn't have chicks in the Army back then unless they were nurses or USO performers....but she looked familiar. . .out of the whole lot of them Anarchs, I actually think I liked her...possibly because she looks familiar. . .maybe I knew her from Brooklyn where I grew up...I'd have to talk to her... But anyways. . .plug a few rounds into that little target on the wall...lets see how your aim is. |

Ronnie listened intently to the instructions. It was amazing to see that Ares hit the middle of a target. "Oh wow." Ronnie hoped he would get a feel for that, too. Surely he would, if he practiced enough. "O.K., so Iīll have a first try now." Ronnie took the gun. Shooting blindly at the targets, he found that very difficult at first. His shots hit the wall above the targets. "Damn, that was to high, I have to hold the gun a bit lower." The next shots were a bit better. "I need a bit more practice." Then Ares asked about his martial art forms. "Well, Iīve done quite a lot of boxing, also kickboxing, karate and judo. And what about you? The woman who said we guys sound like going on a hike said she had been Scourge in Washington. Of her I can believe that. Then after that the dumb blonde said she had been a scourge, too." Ronnie did some more shooting. He was getting better the longer he practiced, some shots even hit the middle of the target. It was obvious that he had lots of practice with normal shooting, otherwise he wouldnīt be able to learn the "blind" shooting so quickly. "Iīm beginning to get a feel for this", he said and smiled happily. |

Ares smiles, his face expresses that he is very impressed. For not being a trained killer, your a damn good shot Ronnie. Lets try this then. . . Hitting that spot on the wall was to easy for you he laughs, patting Ronnie on the back like a comrade. He walks over and places a nail in the wall and hits it with the gun from across the room with a metalic pinging noise. Ares catches the shell mid aid and walks over to reset the nail for Ronnie with the upmost confidence that Ronnie can do it. Boxing! Nice...I leaned to Box in the Army, back in the the 30's, but I've been practicing Krav Maga and wrestling for the last 20 years...Judo sounds Great though, it focuses on pressure points and locks right? That sounds incredibly useful. I'd love to learn that. |

Ronnie smiled when Ares complimented him. "I havenīt used my fighting skills for killing yet. But what is a Brujah who canīt fight? A laughing stock. And for sure thatīs not what I want to be. So I trained various things as much as possible, also shooting. And one never knows when that might come in handy." A nail in the wall, that was certainly more difficult to hit. Ronnie hit the nail on his third try. "Well, in Judo you learn for example throw-techniques, how to make your opponent fall on the floor. But the very first you learn is fall-techniques, so that you donīt get hurt when falling yourself. Quite useful. I can teach you a bit of that stuff if you like. But that canīt be learned in five minutes." He wasnīt sure if he was a good enough teacher, but he could try. |

Ares nodded, happy to learn Judo. Learning to fall was a smart start, it reminded him of airborne school so long ago...and when Ronnie hit that nail with the silence on it, Ares couldn't have been more impressed...it was a great shot...and it means he picked a great roommate. He smiled his creepy, cold smile with some warmth. Ready to move on to the next thing when Ronnie was...but then the phone rings. Ares picks it up with a serious look on his face as he was expecting the call. It was George, and Ares knew he had to go. Roger that Sir...ill be there in 50... Hey Ronnie, I have to go to go, time to pay the piper. |

"O.K., and we can continue with this later. Anyway, thanks for for the training so far and for teaching me how to make a silencer. See you later." Ronnie went to the flat that was now his flat and got inside. He took the silencer with him that he had built, so that he could use it for his own gun. He had a closer look at the flat. It felt good to have his own home now. Ronnie began to spray some black spray paint on his silencer. |
