It seemed that Aguirres exposed lower half wasn't in danger, as something she might have not expected showed on Georges face as she deflected his blow: puzzlement. Apparently he hadn't expected her to be that good in unarmed combat and as her punch threw him a bit back she had enough time to do her uppercut, though he attempted to dodge it which caused her to miss his chin and hit his jaw which in turn resulted in an audible crunching noise. Staggering a few steps back George spat out two broken teeth and wiped a small trickle of blood from the corner of his mouth. With a small smile he nodded at her approvingly. "You're good, better than I expected to be honest... And you just understood a major point: Always try to surprise your opponent... Ready ?" After a few steps forward, he assumed fighting stance again and slowly advanced towards her, protecting his upper body. |

Crunch. What was that? Was that George's face that made that noise? Shit, the last time Aguirre had nailed someone in the jaw like that, she'd ended up nearly having the victim crush her skull down under his fingers. She half expected it to happen again when George stepped back and spat.... She hadn't actually meant to hit him that hard.... had she? She was still imagining Luke David, remembering how much of a fucking deadbeat he was, how long she'd been left to her own devices because of him and her own fear. Losing control of the ever present supernatural strength that pumped through her veins. From the looks of it, though, given the blood pattered smile he gave her, that's exactly what the Primogen was aiming for. Clever fucker, suggesting she get out her least favorite memories and actually use them for once. She was better than he expected? Ah, the perks of being a Mouse in a place where literally everyone she knew would underestimate her for it. Maybe London's inhabitants would learn someday. "Ready when you are", Aguirre muttered, coming into the same defensive stance as before. he stepped forward, at least a bit more hesitantly this time than before, which was actually somewhat satisfying in some way or another. She supposed it was her turn to start the fight, but her eldest brother Marcus always taught her never to throw the first punch--to wait, until the other party got nervous, shaky, impatient, and threw something sloppy. George was a little more patient than some of the slack-jawed knuckle draggers she'd beaten down in the '80's, and despite coming up closer inch by inch, that instinct still tended to get the better of her--even if the object of the game was to get a little experience out of her comfort zone without the threat of dying. This in mind, the lanky woman watched steadily as the other stepped.. stepped again.. stepped closer... She hunched slightly and brought around a quick, solid-fisted attempt to for his stomach, straightening up quickly in case she missed. She brought up an elbow with the same arm, swinging it upward toward the right side of George's head. |

With a small smile George kept advancing at her as she threw the punch at him, seemingly thinking about how to get her this time. Her blow actually hit and threw him back abit but asshe brought her elbow up he deflected it, then tried to grab her arm in a classic arm lock and, if succeding, attempted throwing her on the ground with a classical judo throw. If that worked, he'd carefully step closer and offer her a hand to help her up with an appreciative nod and a friendly smile. She was getting better, perhaps the idea of having her channel someone she hated and focus her rage really worked. |

Again, Aguirre hit the ground with a heavy whump!, backside now coated in debris again. She was light for the most part, so a throw like that? It was inevitable that he'd be able to toss her around like a rag doll, and easily. Shit, it would have knocked the breath right out of her if she had any to begin with, but as it stood.. mostly, she just wanted to throw George down for a change, as much of a long shot as that was. Certainly wasn't happening tonight. She blinked the stars that briefly came into her vision away, having them instead replaced with a smile and a hand to help her up. She took it this time, pulled herself up with some help, tried to clear the dirt from her back as best she could without being able to see it. "At least that one lasted longer than ten seconds," she sighed. And here she'd thought she was good at fist fights. Ought to have been, considering how many she'd been in... with drunken punks at shows. George was certainly no drunken punk. "So, it's abundantly clear that I ain't real good at this," she mumbled, "But at least I got a hit or two in, right? Ha." She tried to stretch out some, looking slightly miserable. She could imagine punching Luke in the face all she wanted, but it wasn't going to help her clean up her style at all. "Where'd you get your trainin', George? I ain't ever been thrown 'round like a sack of flour before." |

Looking at Aguirre dusting herself off and stretching, George patted her on the shoulder reassuringly with a smile and a nod. "It certainly did and you indeed got a quite good punch on you... Granted, you're probably not as good as some guys I met in Belfast but there are a lot of folks not as good in a brawl as you..." He thought a while on her question before answering it with a smile. "Her Majesties' Corps of Royal Marines. Basic training, Commando Course and about thirty years of practice in the field... I used to do a bit of martial arts additionally... Helps with the job, you know ?" |

God, no wonder she was getting her ass kicked like this. she knew George was military. One look at his mannerisms, his posture, his tendency to handle things by throwing loudmouthed blondes into a pile of broken chairs--yeah. It wasn't that hard to guess, all things considered. It was the reason Aguirre had asked George for help in the first place, looked into him at all. She was still relatively surprised that he'd taken having a message sent directly to his home so well, but hey, what better way to motivate someone than by piquing their curiosity? "Why am I not surprised?" she said, smiling mildly. "You kinda carry yourself like my Uncle Jimmy used to. He was a navy guy, mind you, no marine--but still walked with that military discipline. Ain't nobody ever left the ranks without that rigid posturin'. But yeah, the trainin' certainly makes sense.." she chuckled. She didn't feel quite so bad for fucking up anymore... But she wasn't sure she'd ever reach the level of training that George had. |
