Los Santos Police Officers Rights Act

[ORC.00] Disclaimer:
It is vital officers know and understand their rights under the Police Officers Rights Act. If the officer(s) is/are being investigated and the Los Santos Police Department wishes to question any officer, the officers have the following rights.

[ORC.01] Officers shall be interrogated at reasonable hours, unless seriousness of the investigation requires otherwise.

[ORC.02] Officers have rights to be informed about the interrogation before it happens and the purpose of the investigation as well as the name(s) and rank(s) of the officer(s) in charge of the investigation.

[ORC.03] Officers may have a lawyer or a relative with themselves during the questioning within the investigation.

[ORC.04] Officers have the right to a tape/recorded copy of their interrogation, and copies of the notes, reports or complaints made by the investigator(s) or others involved within. Some other officer may be exempted from copies to any of the information.

[ORC.05] Officers have the right to be questioned without any offensive language, or other language profanities. This includes: Swearing towards to, or in general; offensive language; hints of profane, and/or offensive language.

[ORC.06] Officer’s home address and phone number or pictures are to not be released to the media, without the officer’s consent.

[ORC.07] Officers have right to partake in an administrative appeal against the investigation.

[ORC.08] No documents or files can be placed on an officer’s personnel file without the officer getting any sort of notification(s).

[ORC.09] Officers have the right to review their personnel file maintained by the Los Santos Police Department under their normal working hours, with the mandatory high ranked supervision.

[ORC.10] Officers must comply to any requests for; polygraphs or voice stress analyzers. Disclaimer: Failure to comply to these requests will result to a guilty sentence. No exceptions.

[ORC.11] Officer’s lockers or work area may not be searched without: The officer present during the search; officer’s consent; have been notified of the search 12 hours prior; the officer searching has gained a valid search warrant.
