Braiden marches through the crowd of costumers and spots the her knife in a locked glass case presented at the very front of the stall for all to see. Aeron is left behind in the crowd of people and disappears from view. While the merchant has many cheap but combat ready knives and blades out in the open he keeps only the best locked away in that case. Too bad Braiden only liked the best.

The marketplace was specially bustling today. Ever since the newly established trade route to a (FORSAKEN) colony to the south the marketplace was filled with strange exotic goods. Gothic-styled vampiric jewelry and strange animal pelts along with fang necklaces were upon the most popular. All these a blessing from this era of peace is what crosses everyone's mind. Thanks to the peace treaty and the capital city of Esperanca every faction feels so connected and every faction's economic is booming. Especially Norland as they already were the leading economical faction and they haven't stopped there. For a thief of any faction, rank, or background this was their golden age. The fruits of fortune were ripe for picking.

It was hard to find a single comfortable place to stand still. So much traffic of people moving up and down the streets with nearly every market stall being assaulted by costumers screaming to be served. Only people that seem to move comfortably are patrols of armored guards moving in groups of four armed with halberds with the center soldier carrying a banner of Noland. Despite being a country known for their master thief Norland also has the best police force around. Takes a thief to know a thief.

The merchant finishes handling a customer and sells him a razor-sharp dagger. The customer was a young man dressed in hooded rags. Braiden notices several of his fingers missing. An upstart thief buying the tools for success? Nevermind that as the merchant turns his attention towards Braiden, ready to take her request unless she says nothing and he moves on to the next customer.

Her breath caught in her throat, and she glanced up to catch the man's face before her attention was grabbed by the merchant, asking immediately for the blade. It was carefully wrapped, slid in a box, and handed in rough hands that were covered in thin gloves. Her eyes sparkled when handed the box, and she knew she would keep this on her all the time. Although she would have to make sure it was sharpened correctly, cleaned, sanitised. She looked up momentarily to see if the man was there, and her emerald eyes widened. Gone.

She shuddered, pulling her robe around her tightly and tucking it in her waistband, hurrying back to Aeron, who saw her panicked face and tucked her into his side. "Forsaken. Purchasing silver. We need to get out." Aeron swallowed gently and guided her to a near by alley, to a man hole where Braiden knelt down in the shadows, fingering a code on a number pad that appeared. They both disappeared down the hole quickly, dropping down and hurrying down the tunnels to the rest of their family.

Not only to protect thenselves. But to protect her best friend.

The quickly travel through the tunnels they were so familiar with before. Without even thinking about it the duo step gracefully in between trip wires interweaving throughout the system and take every correct route in the complex maze that leads to their home. Finally they reach the end; an elevator made of heavy metal chains and a metal cage of a platform. Before Aeron can reach out to pull the metal lever to call the elevator up the metal chains begin pulling on their own. Someone is already ascending from HQ.

High up in the corner ceiling of the room sat on a support strut a small young man in silence. His body is cloaked in black robes to completely camouflage himself into the darkness of the tunnel. He stares down at Braiden and Aeron. Within his hands a drawn shortbow aimed towards the two. The pulls back the arrow against his bow just slightly to minimize the amount of noise created by the stretching string. However his fingers slip and he accidentally releases the arrow, the back of the arrow flying upwards while he still holds the arrow against the limb, the arrow twisting his fingers. He lets out a small yelp of pain right before losing his balance and falling face first into the dirt before Braiden and Aeron. Both of them aren't surprised. The young man flops back and swings his hood off his face, revealing the face of a young Caucasian boy with short brown hair and blue eyes. "Haha... Surprise!" The boy says with embarrassed smile while rubbing the new red lump on the corner of his forehead. Braiden new that dorky smile very well. It was Jimmy, one of the newest members of the family. For what he has in joy and devotion to the family he lacks in grace and skill. The klutz wants nothing more than to help the family but botched never every task and even a few broke expensive pieces. Because of that he has mostly been assigned to guard the front door as he is now. "It trust that the traps didn't give you any trouble on the way here? I tried fixing a few of them but I accidentally set off another... that set off another... and another... Yeeeeaaaahhhhh...." Jimmy says while still smiling.

The elevator reaches your floor and the metal chains stretch to a stop as a metal cage rises up. The doors slide open and reveal are large muscular man dressed in a brown leather cuirass and a black cape. He steps out of the elevator and steps forth behind Jimmy as he lays on the floor. "Ohhh! Hi Chris!" Jimmy says happily before Chris stomps his in the face with his boot and kicks him out of the way. "Move maggot." Chris says then marches up to Braiden. "How's it going little birdie. Any nice catches?" Chris says with a mocking smile. Chris pulls out from his back a golden handle bar engraved in runes. He presses a button on the handle and two long silver blades shot out from the sides. "Got this off a noble vacationing to our city. Heading into town to fence. Pretty sure you don't have anything to compare right?" Chris brags. This man has a reputation for being a bully. Killing rather than stealing and a complete disregard for the rules of the family, only allowed to stay as he brings in some of the most valuable items.

Braiden couldn't help but giggle at the small Rat Boy as he smiled. She thought it was adorable that he was trying so hard, and she admired it. She understood that he was willing to do anything to help out. "Need to work on your balance James." Snd she leaned down to help him up, her sleeve rolling up slightly to reveal her tanned skin. The tattoo of her family crest showed slightly, and she jerked her hand away after helping the boy up.

When Chris came up to her to boast, Jimmy had moved back towards Aeron to watch the two robes thieves, hoping for some kind of excitement. Chris was nasty to everyone there, except when he wanted to get laid. But Braiden wasn't about to have any of his bull shit today. "It truly is a fine piece. I wonder how many you had to kill for it." Her eyes flashed as Chris seemed to grimace slightly and he brushed it off. "Next time I'm not going to be so lenient. Ten gold from you. Next time it's the authorities." She hated to do that to her own, but it helped to know higher ups at some points. Just enough prostitution to get her through and out of trouble, something she wasn't necessarily proud of.

Aeron prepared himself to intercept, a hand on the hilt of his knife. He hated when Braiden got serious, seeing that's how she rose to her full potential that she never wanted anyone to see. Just one tug of her braids and she should be fine, he hoped. Before she got herself in a heap ton of trouble.

"Braiden! Just the lass I wanted to see!!" A familiar voice rings through the air, as Eolas slid down a rope like a firebolt. His fiery red hair blazing up in a ponytail through the air as he dropped down, and his green eyes lock on the hairy situation. He walks forward and with a subtle swagger all too befitting him, and joins the circle of thieves.

"I have some very interesting intel on the new Forsaken colony that just arrived, and some new shiny shipments from the north." Eolas was very familiar with this song and dance, reporting news to various people, as he himself was an information broker. He traded and sold knowledge like the watch in your pocket. Since he had joined the guild his information sold has been censored to an extent, to keep secrets safe, but he did not mind. Eolas was also a "magician" and is often seen playing with his tarot cards, as he was even fingering them now in his pocket.

"So, sorry Chris, but I will need to take this dance from you." He says flashing a playfully cocky smile, pushing Chris' buttons just to see if he would try something in front of Braiden. He may get reprimanded or not, but it was worth it for the looks on Chris' face. He wouldn't push him too far, but little prods like this he knew were safe from the bully's retaliation. He had several stories he could tell to their higher ups that would get Chris expelled from the guild, or worse.

The young lady was snapped from falling under, taking a step back from Chris as the Irishman waltzed up. Aeron'a hand dropped from his blade, a sigh of relief passing through, and a gloved hand came up to run a hand through thick blonde hair. A smile crossed Braiden's face, and she bowed her head in thanks. "Intel is definitely what we need. Especially to deny Alexander his share of our goods. The wealth is ours." Her gaze shifted back to Chris, who stood there with annoyance crossing his face, and Braiden pushed him aside to get to the elevator. "We're done here. I'm hungry. Surely you'll be able to share the news over some bread and ale, yes Eolas?" She flung a glance over her shoulder as she stepped into the metal box with Aeron right beside her, and Jimmy clambered back up to his post up in the rafters.

"Braiden. We need to be careful with this. Too many shipments stolen at one time is going to raise a red flag with the king." Aeron's voice seemed to reverberate through the small area, already cramped despite having three people in the box. He could feel her breath on the back of his arm, seeing how she was tucked behind him. It was normal for her to stay out of sight; anyone hardly saw her when she was with Aeron. This time was no different.

"Of course!" Eolas says cheerfully and follows them into the elevator, swinging his ponytail dramatically. He plays with the hem of his coat as he rides the elevator down, a tune stuck in his mind. "So how was the trip to the market? Was it as eventful as usual?" he asks with a curious air. Eolas was always curious, especially on what new product was brought into their possession.

They reach the stop of the mess hall and Eolas leads them in, finding a reserved table in the wide restroom for them to talk without the constantly listening ears nearbye. "I have to know if you got anything. Its part of the job." He says in a joking manner, smiling through a sip of ale.

"Eventful. Just a crowd of people bustling around. With the new Forsaken colony settling for the trading business...it's gotten a bit...busier," she said with a finger on her cheek. Now that they were out of the elevator, Braiden was a bit cooler, but it was instantly taken away once they approached the food bar. She unbuttoned her cloak to show a thin frame with tanned skin, jet black hair falling down to her waist. It had a turquois undertone, and parts of her hair were besides together. Her skin was adorned with various tattoos, her wrists and fingers had small jewels lined in. She wore only but her tank top, revealing her stomach and her waist slightly, shorts that came mode way to her thighs and calf high boots. A small skirt was attached to the back of her shorts, covering her sides and pockets as the family liked to steal from eachother for practice.

A few minutes later, they both sat down with soup, bread and ale, Braiden's fingers picking softly at the baked good. Her gaze was fixed on Eolas, her feet bouncing up and down. "A forsaken purchasing silver. It scares me. That's the one thing we saw before we came home. I have a feeling something is coming and I don't like it. I need you to look into what the colony wants. Because something tells me that they aren't here for trade. Especially if they're buying quality blades here."

"Hmm." Eolas studies her story, pondering slowly. "I can look into it if your feeling wary. My first guess would be a fight between whatever this new colony is with the Lycans. If not...." He pauses, unsure of what else it could be immediately. "I am not sure. This is interesting." Eolas smiles widely and drums his fingers on the table, taking out a small notebook and writing something down. "Alright, I shall look into this personally. I have a few theories, but nothing concrete enough to report. I know where it is, so this won't be an issue to start the search." He says pleasantly, drinking down the last of his ale.

He takes out a small stone, placing it before her with a playful smile. "That is the newest shipment, on quite a large, challenging carrier." Upon closer inspection it was a small, pure silver ore piece. "It may not be elegant, but it should be worth quite a lot. It took a lot to get this piece of the ship without losing a finger, but I know the rest of the ship is filled with the stuff."
