Her cheek on Aeron's chest, cradled against his side, her eyes closed, hair sprawled out everywhere. She wasn't necessarily asleep, but not awake either as the blonde watched over her. She truly was troubled in these times, something that he wished for her not to be. His hand caressed her smaller one, and he pulled the sheets over them both. They were going to need their rest.

It was absolutely wonderful to have her own showers. The public bathrooms could get so nasty at times, especially with all the men flaunting around. Slim fingers slid down her tan skin, the hot water hitting her hair and back as all the suds washed down the drain. There wasn't anything separating her from the messenger but a towel when he came to let her know the group was ready. Braiden looked on with somber eyes, nodding, then immediately got dressed, grabbing her cloak for the occasion. Aeron was gone already, and the Rat Children instantly caught Braiden at her door, showing off the small things they managed to pick from people and stalls. She only smiled and waved, happily going along her way. Her boots sounded through the tunnels, her cloak flowing behind her as she slid it upon her shoulders, she began to brood in silence. It wasn't until her fellow thieves looked upon her with welcoming faces did she break out into a huge smile, wishing them well and talking about their objective.

When they heard the silver was out of the question, shifty looks were traded, but no grumbles were made as they all made peace with their gods, and Braiden was escorted to her horse. She had a feeling this was going to get a bit hairy.

Eolas could be seen wheeling and dealing a few hands of cards with some thieves that were a touch too thick to know better. Cards were his life, be they tarot or otherwise. So after he cleaned out their pockets he stode up and walked to the band of thieves with a casual wave, wearing a touch of armor here and there, but nothing heavy. "Greetings, all." He says with a smile to no one in particular. He scanned the crowd to see who was among them and who was going to the raid.

As she rode past Eolas, Braiden's slim fingers tapped his head. "You're up front with me, Eolas. You have the intel after all." Stretching out on her horse, the creature trotted away, and she could be seen laying on her back, smiling and waving at all the thieves in the convoy. She patted the horses side, humming gently as a few thieves chuckled, some shook their heads in disgust, but she didn't care. They just needed to relax right now.

Eolas turned to see her go, grinning at the lying lady lounging on her horse. "But of course, lass. I will be honored to welcome our glorious leader back to the front lines." Eolas says with a mock bow and slides a hand into his pocket. Out he draws a single card, and grins to himself. Seven long wands create an intricate pattern upon this card, and he returns the card to the center of the deck happily as he returns to the front.

Eolas didn't exactly like the front lines, but he didn't DISLIKE it either. It was more against the forced expectations upon his shoulders that he did not like. He loved the thrill of risk, and the chance to show off, but expectations kept him guessing. It also made him a prime target for any of the family that have a grudge against him, or want to wipe the smarmy look off of his face. He instinctively turned back to look at all of the faces of his allies, curiously and inconspicuously sizing them up before walking the rest of the way back to the front.

When they hit the trails, Braiden sat up slowly and shook her hair out. It was nice to stretch, feeling the muscles of the horse working under her. Her fingers started to braid the creature's mane, a soft song emerging from her lips, one they all knew oh so well, and she had the whole group singing.

"Thieves we be, heart and soul..."

Smiling back at her followers, Braiden couldn't help but laugh joyously. On the sides they had a back up team, where Aeron resided along with swift get away methods. There wasn't a chance where there would be a person like him letting a robbery go unwatched. His fingers wound through his hair gently, tugging at it as he watched the convoy in front of them, making sure none got themselves killed before the real job started. He caught Braiden's smile, returning it back to her before watching her tap Eolas' shoulder with her foot.

"So that card you pulled out before we left. Tell me about it." Her voice rang out amongst the others, her features stunning happy as they all got the chance for some fresh air.

Eolas sang along cheerily, a spring turning into his step as he walked. His mother swore he would have been a bard in another life, one where he could afford an instrument. But he could never have afforded lessons when he was younger, but a natural accent gave his singing a bit of a flair. When the boss called to him, he turned to her and grinned. "Wouldn't you like to know?" But he decided that in this situation he had better not try prod at her in a more serious situation. "It was a seven, of wands." He says still beaming. "It is a card of success upon your enterprises."

"You must be worried if you were inclined to check." She flashed a small smile before she laid back on her horse again, this time with one leg over the other. Practice and balance. They were key. "Getting this shipment will be huge for us, I should like to think. Isn't there another one tomorrow, Eolas? I've heard that it was a shipment that would take a couple of days."

Eolas shakes his head, not to be thought a coward. Then again, smart men were often not the most courageous. "No, no. It is a habit before missions. Especially one of this size. I just like a little reminder that lady luck is looking over my shoulder." He says flipping a little thumbs up to Braiden. "Yes, that is right. This shipment is big news, and they want to ensure that they will get it home safely. I hear that they are forcing other shipments to hold just to keep this one going at a fast pace..." Eolas says, his skin tingling with the excitement of a challenge.

Chris finishes buckling on a steel pauldron onto his right shoulder as he glances around at the other thieves readying themselves for the raid. He gives everyone a cold glare. One of disgust rather than pride. He eyes connect with the gaze of a female lesser thief who looks at him softy. Chris returns her gaze with a snarl of anger that scares her attention away from him. Removing his hatchet from the table before him he takes a good look at his refection gleaming in the steel of the blade-head. "God... I need this raid so much. I'm growing tired of this city life. I miss the field. The sound of clashing steel." He thinks as he closes his eyes and frowns. "HEEYYOO!!!" someone yells right before Chris that snaps him out of his shut eye. "Who the hel-" Chris roars before looking down and finding Jimmy standing before him looking up with his bright innocent smile. "Oh its you worm." Chris speaks in a deep tone. "Since I've been so great guarding the front gate and I've only destroyed half the traps I'M GOING ON THE RAAIIDDD!" Jimmy yells happily and waves his arms throughout the air. Chris simply stares coldly at the boy as Jimmy continues to yell, "WWWOOOOO!!!" Chris shakes his head in disapproval as he lifts his bastard sword off the table and buckles it around his back. "Only on the condition that I work along side you!" Jimmy says and Chris drops the dagger he was examining. "Oh Braiden why!" Chris says as a bead of cold sweat rolls down the back of his neck.

"Then we l're going to be making another trip out here tomorrow morning. They're going to be wary," she said softly. She could see Jimmy bouncing up and down excitedly, a smile crossing her face when she saw Chris' pissed off expression. She had gotten him good this time. The ebony blade she had bought the day before was thumping against her thigh, her bow and quiver slung across the horse's back where she could easily reach it. She never went anywhere without it. Sighing softly, Braiden motioned to Eolas again.

"You should probably go referee those two. God knows what's going to happen to the Rat Child. Chris just might string him up to bleed from his wrists."
