Eolas sighs, putting a hand to his forehead and running his fingers through curly lochs. "Oh, alright lass. Figuring yourself too important to play with the runts." He says jokes as he walks between the two. He places a hand around Jimmy's shoulder, turning them and saying in a low tone, "Oi, Jimmy-Jim-James. Chris is on his time of the month right now, ladies get them and are very irritable during them. So ya can't bother her, alright?" He says with a friendly pat to Jimmy's shoulder and turns to look back at chris with a smile and thumbs up. "Jamie-Jimbo-Jims won't bother ya for a while, will ya?"

Jimmy loses the smile and dons a blank stare. "I will never look at Chris the same ever again." Jimmy says confused by Eolas's remark. "You best not be whispering anything too adult to the boy Eolas. His innocent mind wouldn't be able to take it." Chris remarks while working on his gear before flicking Jimmy in the forehead to wake him from his daze of confusion. Jimmy instantly snaps out of it and starts smiling again. "Enough smiling you two. It's creeping me out." Chris says as he finishes the last of his equipment, a belt of throwing knifes wrapped along the front of his chest. "Do I get any toys too!?" Jimmy asks exploding in excitement. Jimmy picks up a long serrated longsword and holds it up to the light saying, "OOOOUUU!" right before Chris gently pushes the blade down back against the table saying, "No." Jimmy reaches for the sword again the moment Chris turns away but Chris quickly slams the blade down again once again saying, "NO." Jimmy takes a step back and crosses his arm with a pouty face. Chris sighs and turns to Eolas. "Pick out something practical out for the him. I'm not dealing with this shit!" Chris says and stomps off in frustration. Jimmy turns to Eolas and looks up to him with excitement with his shining blue eyes waiting for a new toy.

"Braiden!" Chris yells out as he marches up to her. One by one the thieves began mounting up ready to move at Braiden's command. "Look at all these Rat children your taking. Pickpockets, thugs, and swindlers all of them. Even that snitch Eolas who wouldn't hesitate a second to sell us out for a profit is in on this. Not a single one of them a soldier like me. This isn't any normal shipment were talking about. Polaris take food shipments VERY seriously. Unlike Norland, Polaris's government makes sure their people are fed and taken care of despite their reliance on other factions for food. This is gonna be guarded by Polaris royal knights. We're talking about full plated veteran knights trained to slay massive void monsters. Can we take them on? Yes as long as they don't back themselves into a defendable corner but not without heavy losses ether way. I'm not even going to get into the political ramifications of Polaris hunting down our family directly after we just pissed them off. Whats the point of a few months of food for starving children if your sending lives like Jimmy to the slaughterhouse! Your father wouldn't pull a stunt like this... He'd care more about the lives of the family first and the city second. Family. Always. Comes first." Chris roars as he stands tall over little Braiden while giving her the most intimidating scowl.

Hearing her name being screamed, she sighed, staring at an angry thief as he marched up to her. Braiden listened to every word that he had to say, and the thing was... He was right. Every single word was true. This was something she had to confront on her own, with everybody watching, so she had to be careful. But she wasn't.

"I'm glad to hear your concern, Chris. I'm aware of everything that is at stake. But you forget. This is about the family, about all of you, not just the children. Hell. If I had a say in what I could call all of you people hear, you are all my Children. Children that I have given the responsibility of taking care of." Braiden sat to her full height before she decided to pat her horse's neck, hopping down from her saddle. She was significantly smaller than Chris but she stood her ground none the less. "And you aren't the only soldier here. We aren't here to kill, only to take what we need to support our whole family. Where as you, greedy, selfish, killing for your own gain... Calling yourself a soldier would be a dishonour. Only reason I have you here is because I need some of the strongest. But I swear....I hear or see anything that's out of line tonight because of your doing..." Her blade whipped quickly, point first, a few centimetres inside the man's neck.

"I won't hesitate to cut you down. For the sake of the family." And she walked away, cleaning off what blood there was that had trickled down the black blade.

Chris sighs once Braiden went about her children speech again. "I'm 32 fucking years old. Who the hell does this woman think she is calling me a child?!" He simply rolled his eyes through most of her speech. Especially when she got to the personal insults about him. He was used to the insults at this point, he knew he was a monster and everyone seemed to make it their goal in life to point that out. He had the respect of all the older members of the family and especially the love of his warband. Then out of no where Braiden pulled out her ebony blade and stabbed it into Chris's throat. Instead of giving her the chance to pull away Chris quickly grabs her wrist and crushes it painfully as he hold her in place. Chris's pupils widen with adrenaline as within the flash of a second the thought, "Braiden attempting life. Restrain her in place. Hatchet. NECK!" as he reaches for his hatchet. His hand stops right before grabbing the handle to his axe while still holding her in place. A smile rises across Chris's face. "No... It's time to make an example of her." Instead of going for the kill, Chris twists her wrist and disarms the blade out of her hand and hops back works away from her before she ties again. Quickly at least a dozen and a half thieves, all older and more ruthless bandit types rather then thieves that made up Chris's warband, stand between Braiden and Chris with their blades drawn all in the direction of Braiden. "ATTENTION MY FAMILY!" Chris yells out to grab the attention of the last few thieves who weren't already witnessing the scene. "Braiden here just made an attempt on my life." Chris says with a small smirk that he made sure only Braiden could see.

Chris places the palm of his hand against his neck as the wound gushes out blood. "Dammit someone give me a rag!" Chris says to his men and would quickly provides him a bandage to cover the wound. "When I left the Polaris Knights I was a penniless vagabond when Braiden's father found me. He offered me something no one in the world could give me. Freedom! The freedom to do, act, and live however I please as long as I provide for the family. So I did... and over time I learned to respect the man and love the family. While many of you might view me as ruthless or even heartless. In the end I am only another man providing for everyone here! Yet when I question our glorious bitch mother here whether or not it is wise to throw many of our lives away against Polaris military instead of the usual merchant caravans, I GET A FUCKING BLADE IN MY THROAT! If it wasn't for the sake of the family I'd kill her where she stood out of self defense! In this upcoming decade, A golden age for both Norland and us thieves, we are, instead of left with hero that was her father, left with a insecure child with a mother complex to rule over us! You better start leading by example little birdie because the power of your heritage is stretched to the limit and another stunt against me or my men is only going to end with me leaving the family with all the muscle of the family... Right after my axe sends your head rolling..." Chris publically speaks. He takes Braiden's ebony blade and lightly tosses down the water well beside the foot court, lost forever. While the warband and many others stand strong behind Chris... the rest of the thieves stare at Braiden with doubt and disbelieve that she could attack Chris like that. They expect her to answer for her action against him... and Who would be next if she started killing all those who question her. All while Chris stares back at Braiden with his arms crossed and a large smirk on his face. "We're waiting."

Eolas chuckles aloud as he sees the shenanigans of Jimmy and Chris in "Toy Time," and smiles down at the kid as he asks for help. "Sure Chris, I can handle it. You go get ready for our mission."He says before returning his gaze to a much friendlier face. "So, little lad, lets see what you are gonna get today!" He says in a tone to match Jimmy's enthusiasm. He searched through the odds and ends before finding something useful but not deadly. exactly what they needed. So with that he offered Jimmy a slingshot and a dagger. "Only use the dagger in dire need, understand jimmy Jim Jim?"

Eolas listened to Braiden's speech curiously, and Chris' complaints with a usual feeling of indifference until his name was brought up. Snitch, sell out. Both were names he had been called on an infinite number of occasions. None of those times were too the family as a whole, but no one would heed that kind of fact. Especially not Chris. He didn't make a scene of it, but when Jimmy took the gear Eolas' hands immediately went to his pockets, the free pocket slightly bulging with a fist. At least he could keep up the smiles on the outside.

Eolas' bout of anger was quickly extinguished, however, when the scene of power happened before him. Shit, this was the last thing they needed. Chris was important to the plan for this operation, and Braiden had been feeling rocky about leading the band from the front lines after it had been so long. They needed the men to trust eachother, and THIS was the last thing to do that. He walked forward and listened to the barking of Chris and looked between the two. He wanted to help, desperately, but Braiden needed to do this. If he helped her it would make her seem incompetent. and that wouldn't help anyone. He looks at her and nods in the tiniest manner, awaiting a response he knew she had.

Her wrist crushed, she bit back the pain, whimpering, let out a small sigh, as she looked up to him. "I'm afraid that I'm going to ask you to unhand me...no wonder you're such a brute..." She giggled softly as he kept her restrained, almost seeming like a manic smile crossr her face. She motioned Aeron to stay away as he seemed to storm up there with anger, his face falling when told to be kept away. "Trying to turn my family against me Chris... They warned me that you would do this... The reason my father let you in because he was sympathetic...like me...except I'm worse you could say. And what's a threat without taking slight action? You must prove your point in some shape or form. Words aren't the only thing that can cut it."

Braiden's head hit Chris' collar bone, a soft smile across her face. "All for the family. Let me take care of them, and anybody who tries to stop me from doing so won't live. So please let me go. We wouldn't want Aeron here to tear what's left of your throat out, do we..." She knew it wasn't the satisfactory answer, but it was the only answer she could give, because she knew no other. She looked at Eolas apologetically, a slight tear running down her face as the pain started to get to her.

Eolas let out a long, sort of defeated sigh. This was the last thing anyone bloody needed right now. On the outside he seemed to have his eyes half closed and staring at the ground. If anyone were actually paying attention to him they'd notice a change in his color, going from his usual pale skin to a bright furious red. He'd stop this idiocy himself, since Braiden or Aeron wouldn't and Chris'd enjoy whatever came next.

"WHAT THE BLOODY FUCK 'RE YA GOD DAMN INGRATES DOIN'?!!! YA THINK THIS'S A GODDAMNED GAME WHERE YA TWO CHUCKLE FUCKS CAN ACT LIKE GODDAM CHILLEN?! I OUGHTA BEAT YA CROSS BOTH EARS TILL 'EY LOOK 'IKE CAULIFLOWA!!" Never was his accent more prominent than when he was angry, and as Eolas' voice grew in volume, his accent got thicker and the vein in his neck bulged.

"I SWEA YA ALL FUCKIN' LOOK LIKE YA GETTIN' READY FOR A GANGRAPE-LYNCHIN' DOUBLE FEATYA!! GET THE HELL OUT O' THE CROWD AND GO ABOUT YA BUISNESS O' SO HELP ME I WILL CLOCK YA TILL WE GOTTA PLAY FIVTY TWO CAD PICK UP WIT' YA SKULL!!" People started to clear away from the raging irishmen, as he was well known as a good boxer and often even went into rhe ring with Chris. "YA'LL 'RE ACTN' FUCKN' DISGRACEFUL. SHOW SOME DAM RESPECT TO ONE ANOTHER LIKE THE FAMILY WE CLAIM TO BE, NOT LIKE COMMON THUGS WHO'D SHANK YA S'FAST AS LOOK AT YA COINPURSE!!"

As Eolas continued barking at the crowd, including insulting a few key individuals with no real reason, he got to rhe melee at the center and stared at the two of them. He looked livid and absolutely insane. "Letta down Chris, ya fucking actin' like a baby lass ova a littl' scratch. If I flipped ma shit erry time ya pulled a blade on me no'one'd sleep a wink!!" Eolas waits with arms crossed until Chris begrudgingly lets Braiden down, and Eolas turns to her with a grim look. "The both'ya should be ashamed of yaselves. This is youridea ova morale booster? This'll only do us SHIT. Anything that goes wrong'll be blamed on this, n' on you two." With that he groans loudly, slapping his forehead. "Fuck, I need a smoke. Been two years'n I ave to smoke again cuz of you two actin like idiots. Chris." He adds suddenly, turning to the big man. "I needa get some air and you need to find that blade down the river. Can'ta gotten far. Lets go." He says without waiting for a response from either and storms off to the riverbanks way down and out of sight.

Braiden waited until Eolas was done, her head rising from her captive's chest as she watched the Irishman. She resisted the sudden urge to pout like a child, her eyes cooly meeting enraged ones, and the tears went away. She wasn't one to be yelled at, but everybody got into fights every so often that even the lowest thieves had to break her and someone else up from a fist fight. As he went on and on, Braiden finally sighed. "Enough Eolas. Take my pipe in apology, your smoke is on me." And with her good hand she pulled a jewelled pipe from her cloak with a bag of the finest tobacco. He had his own lighter she figured.

After handing it over, she shook her head. "Chris is staying here. I'll retrieve my blade. I need to clear my head anyways. Excuse me before we leave," she muttered sourly, her thick Indian accent poking through slightly as she walked away, her breathing slightly ragged as she held her injured wrist to her chest as it will be kept that way. The tears no longer fell, though she had lost all the motivation in the world to continue on any more. This is why the raid had to be a success, to train the little ones, to being on revenue, the money, clothing for their family to start. She only thought she was doing best, apparently none followed in her stead. She walked for a half a mile or two but she never found the blade she had much desired the day before. Such a pretty blade stained with the cruelest of blood..... Too bad it was lost..

Chris laughs and shrugs his shoulders. "After all that all you can respond with is death threats?! Fucking pathetic! I have nothing to prove... I've already earned my place here a thousand times over. Look around at your thieves... I don't think they believe you've earned yours." Chris says with a cruel smile. He turn away to follow Eolas, all while scretching out his arms and letting out a big yawn of victory. Chris's warband disperse shortly after Chris leaves; everyone of them giving Braiden an angry scowl and one given spitting at the ground in her direction in disapproval.

Jimmy pulls up the chain holding up the wooden water bucket for the well and finds Braiden's sword stabbed directly into the bottom of the barrel. Jimmy awkwardly skips up to Braiden who looked very upset. "Hey I ahh- Got your sword thingy!" Jimmy says trying to his usual cheerful but felt akward. He gives the sword back to Braiden, a drop of Chris's blood still hangs from the tip. "Hey boss I ahh..." Jimmy says while scratching his head nervously. He felt like his next few words might come off as rude when he really didn't want them to be. "Sometimes the boys here can find you creepy... but we've never once lost faith in you as our leader. I don't know who your father was but a lot of the older members just seem to really miss him. I know I'm not the best... possibly even the worse thief here! but you never lost hope in me... So I'll never lose hope in you! No matter what happens today during the raid, your the best mom I could have ever asked for!" Jimmy says with his eyes closed to allow him to smile even bigger then usual. It was extremely rare for Jimmy to ever speak this seriously but it really came from the heart.

"AHH VICTORY!" Chris says with Joy. He and Eolas continue walking done the tunnel leading away from the sanctuary and can see the sunlight of the riverside before them. "Aww man Eolas do you see her face! IT WAS PRICELESS! HAha! I got away with saying all that, proved to the entire family she not only a failure BUT is threatening our very lives AND HER ONLY RETORT IS TO THREATEN MY LIFE AGAIN! Ah man you can just tell that not a single brother or sister left that scene feeling happy with Braiden! WELL maybe Jimmy cause he's an idiot but the seeds of doubt have been planted! Eolas we should drink to his occasion! It's not every day you find me this happy!" Chris says as he marches happily beside him feeling like he could dance.

Braiden stared down at the blade with surprise, and her good hand wrapped around the hilt, yanking out with such strength and speed that had been given to her. Her green eyes held fury, but kept a kind face in front of the rat child, ruffling his hair and even leaning down to give the child a hug. "We'll get him back James. Except...I need you to do something for me. A huuuggggeee favour that will help Chris along with his life. It'll make him verrrryyyy happy." A devious smile grew across her face as she licked his blood off of her blade. "I need you to find someone for me. Give him this paper." She held the slip between two slim fingers, a name written at the top. "He'll help the poor man once he meets us here. Understood?"

Revenge would be hers. Chris and his band of thieves would be gone, forbidden from the family. It would be best, she couldn't let anything happen again. Her father wouldn't agree with just, just beg her to let it go, but Braiden was stubborn. Once she sent Jimmy on his way, she cleaned the blade in the nearby river, using her injured wrist normally like nothing had happened. This was going to be interesting.
