[01:59] <Tarvius> All your dreambase is belong to hobo? [02:01] <Gigs> dreamhackers? [02:01] <Gigs> also, the 'underworld' is perhaps... there is a sequential parallel world, the Night Dreams [02:02] ThreeDark posts a reply as well [02:02] <Tarvius> *shakes Josh* [02:02] <Tarvius> Parallel Night Dreams world could work great with the idea you had during the first conversation. The one that produced the concept of "creases" [02:05] <Gigs> boards are too slow for the usual streams of consciousnesses [02:05] Tarvius nods [02:06] <ThreeDark> The FLS does it's best to keep things uniform [02:06] <Gigs> well, the Awakener may be more of a boogieman for the Night Dreams than the Day Dreams [02:06] <ThreeDark> And just because a realm doesn't generally suffer from the Wakings doesn't mean they go unchanged. [02:07] <Gigs> since Night Dreams seldom survive Awakening [02:07] <Gigs> even then, not for long before they are forgotten [02:07] <Gigs> the Waking could even simply be 'degredation of memory' [02:07] <Gigs> forgotten day dreams [02:07] <Tarvius> I could see the realms "Flickering" so to speak during those rare moments of lucidity. Like not really an apocalypse or anything but shit goes wrong. [02:07] <Gigs> though buried deep in the Database [02:08] <ThreeDark> Yeah, that's why I noted the fact that an apocalypse may not actually outright destroy a layer/realm/dream [02:08] <Gigs> no reason why there's only "one" apocalypse. [02:08] <Tarvius> Apcalypsi [02:08] <ThreeDark> AND edited it to include the fact that he might be the one collecting the Archives [02:08] <ThreeDark> Yeah [02:08] <Gigs> the realms do reinstate themselves upon re-dreaming [02:08] <ThreeDark> I like the image of him going around all SRP-ish [02:08] <Tarvius> Heh [02:09] <ThreeDark> Showing up and looking at the clock on his phone and writing something down before leaving [02:09] <ThreeDark> Just before a meteor hits. [02:09] <ThreeDark> Or an alien invasion [02:09] <ThreeDark> or the gates of hell open [02:09] <Gigs> but for that moment or time when the Dreamer wakes or is lucid, the world is effectively apocalypted [02:09] <Gigs> he's Twoflower [02:09] <Tarvius> @Josh: Yes all that stuff [02:09] <ThreeDark> It is changed, somewhat irrevocably [02:09] <ThreeDark> no matter how they attempt to restore it using an Archive. [02:10] <ThreeDark> Realms that have been restored via Archive will always be 'off' [02:10] <Tarvius> Even though the FLS tries to cover up those changes with everything they have. [02:10] <ThreeDark> Yes [02:10] Tarvius nods [02:10] <Gigs> it explains discrepencies between daydreams [02:10] <Tarvius> ...*wipes a tear from his eye* [02:10] <Tarvius> I'm so happy you guys are still insane [02:10] <Gigs> he is the bug, the glitch, the deja vu of the Matrix [02:11] <Gigs> he/it is the wrongness of the world [02:11] <ThreeDark> Also I'm torn between him being the secret "Core" for the First Layer and just being an outright Force of Nature that is somehow in cahoots with the FLS [02:11] <Gigs> he is Twoflower [02:11] <Gigs> oooor, the ThreeDark [02:11] <Gigs> hehehe [02:11] <Tarvius> I'd rather have him being an entity outside of the "core" [02:11] <ThreeDark> Mhmm [02:11] <Tarvius> He is an uncontrollable "force of nature" [02:11] <Gigs> he's more or less "death" [02:11] <ThreeDark> Well that would bring up the question: What IS the first layer? [02:12] <Tarvius> Probably like the olypmus of "The Core" [02:12] <ThreeDark> It's the most stable of the layers, does this make it the subconcious? Innately aware that everything must eventually die? [02:12] <Gigs> FLS are PUPPETS, mere PAWNS of the Subconcious Conspiracy [02:12] <Tarvius> ...Is the subconcious stable? [02:13] <ThreeDark> It is the most consistent. It changes all the time and in that chaos it is immutable. It will exist until it ceases to do so forever. [02:13] <Tarvius> The realm of the core could be the "sub-concious" of the hobo dreamverse? [02:13] <Gigs> could be the Core is stuff that the hobo can't actually control? [02:13] <Gigs> with some exceptions [02:14] <Tarvius> Since the FLS could be a hommage to paying respects for the sub-concious? [02:14] <Tarvius> Ooh [02:14] <Tarvius> yeah [02:14] <Gigs> like creativity [02:14] <Gigs> but fears... human pain or hunger [02:14] <Tarvius> There are concepts that the concious mind was never meant to deal with directly. [02:15] <Tarvius> That's where the "Core" comes in [02:15] <Gigs> if the hobo is hungry or cold but goes into the Dreaming [02:15] <Gigs> to cope [02:15] <ThreeDark> Although, in turn, the Core (entities) for these Layers and the Layers themselves should NOT be overtly reflective of these concepts. [02:15] <Gigs> the Core? more like... the coPe [02:15] <Gigs> yeah [02:15] <Tarvius> I can dig that [02:15] <Tarvius> ...Ok, who wants to post this stuff to the boards? [02:16] <Gigs> Hunger can probably work as some all consuming beasts though [02:16] <Tarvius> There'd probably be one representing sexual desire [02:17] <Tarvius> Goes all BDSM on it's universe. Whips the cosmos and tells them they've been naughty [02:17] <ThreeDark> Well, more, say the Layer that is Hunger. It's a Mideval realm full of dangerous beasts and groups that are always finding adventure [02:18] <Gigs> sounds good [02:18] <Gigs> it's a stable blackhole/wormhole? [02:18] <ThreeDark> And lust? A realm of exploration and piracy? Scifi? Historical? Who knows [02:18] <Tarvius> I thought we didn't want it to be overly reflective? That works for me though [02:18] <ThreeDark> That's not overly reflective, I meant like "IT IS A HELL WHERE EVERYONE IS HUNGRY!" overly reflective [02:18] <Tarvius> Probably could be one for Jealous, or desire. Hobo wants things. [02:18] <Tarvius> Ahh, gotcha [02:19] <Tarvius> Jealousy* [02:19] <ThreeDark> "IT IS A PLANET OF FLESH AND HORMONES!" |
