Hi everyone, Been thinking of things we can do to try and get a sense of community going. I see a few people are hanging out and a few new people (myself included) have joined up. With that in mind I wondered about proposing a forum-wide creative event where members can submit fan works (such as short stories, drawings, graphics, banners etc). It could always be like a contest where the winner(s) gets some sort of banner to display in their sig? I appreciate this might not be something we could do as a forum just yet, as there aren't many of us around. Something for the future, maybe? Happy to hear some thoughts on this, I just think it might be nice to get some more creative works on this forum. |

I had thought of possible competitions before but had no idea what to offer as a 'prize' so I didnt bother. I like the idea though to try encourage people to do something around here. Its a bit quiet still yeah but we can work on this idea to something we could maybe do at a later date when hopefully theres more activity and more ideas on what exactly we could do for these |

I suppose a bit like the TIR contests that used to be held, there could be badges of honour or sig-banners of honour, or ..something.. of honour. Honestly, I also really struggled to think what a 'prize' could be, but then I figured it doesn't have to be about the prize so much as it is about taking part, creating some fun stuff and getting some more people involved. I agree that it's something for a bit later down the line. |

On another forum I visit they do a thing called 30 Day Challenge. For 30 days a question relating to the series is asked such as Day 1 - Favourite character? Day 2 - Least favourite character? etc. Once all 30 questions are answered the user received a little badge under their username saying they completed the challenge. Best of a new user could join in the middle or when the 30 days are up and still the get the badge from answering the questions. The questions were answered with fan art, fanfic or just by writing a short paragraph. |

Hey this sounds like a great idea! It could start out small / simple like a "7-day" thing, but develop over time if it becomes popular / people take part. I think it's worth a shot! |
