Equals is a new version of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four, starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult as lovers in a dystopian society. It is described as a "romantic remake" of the story. It is currently in pre-production and is expected to shoot this year.

I am not making up a word of the above.

Now, if you'll excuse me...

What... WHAT?

I haven't even read 1984 and I'm fucking just like... WHAT?

I know the whole story... This shit did not need to suddenly become a romance movie.

Just what the fuck even.

I haven't read the book, but I did see the movie (idk which one exactly) and it did have a "romance" side of the story? So unless they take away everything else from the story, I don't see it being that drastic of a change to the core storyline. Unless I'm completely wrong, and the movie was a horrible adaptation :dead2:

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

I'm a little wary, while having not yet read the book. But, I will see this for the beautiful and amazing Kristen Stewart.

From how it sounds, it's not only making romance the MAIN theme as wel as making it a lot more of a "real" romance than it is.
Ugh. This sounds like a disaster. Also, Kristen Stewart is NOT how I pictured the female character at all. Looks, voice, or acting. None of it suits the role

Plus I bet they'll throw in some "love conquers all" stuff that completely goes against the book. Ignorance is strength.
