I haven't seen or heard anything about Burlesque one way or another. :jamming:

Ebert praised Juno before pain medication started making him like everything.
It's alright. The soundtrack is actually pretty great tho. Love Bound to You, Express, and Show Me How You Burlesque :jamming:

Exactly? Which is why I called him a fake critic. It's BEFORE he stanned for everything :wtf2:
I'll pass.

*After... :wtf2:

Never seen Glitter. Crossroads was utterly garbage and Britney Spears voice annoys the hell out of me. Burlesque was quite good, plus it has Cher.

Why the hell are Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard and Kelly Clarkson's From Justin to Kelly not on the poll? The Bodyguard is the only one of these pop star vehicle films that was worth a damn in practically every sense and From Justin to Kelly is one of the worst movies ever made and deserves to the recognition!

I just didn't think to include them, I was mainly just curious about these 3. I excluded Madonna too. But these also have a lot of similarities in terms of narrative/tone, I believe. Burlesque + Glitter are also musicals that show off Christina + Mimi's vocals. Not sure if Crossroads does that with Brit

If you want to do one with all these popstar films you can.

Nah it's too much effort. And Crossroads has 1 karaoke scene but is straight up drama, no real musical numbers.

Christina Aguilera gave the best performance acting wise and is the most watchable without cringing. Crossroads has a decent supporting cast and nostalgia helps. Glitter though... better left unsaid.
