We've still got almost two months left in the year, but so far, here's my Worst list (subject to change):
Dishonorable mentions go to Dracula Untold and Deliver Us From Evil, both of which I was considering putting in Blood Widow's slot.

And for my Best list... huh, looking back I actually haven't seen a lot of new horror movies that I really liked. My #5 pick only got a 3 out of 5 from me, and I had to stretch the list with two films that aren't purely horror, one of them (and my #1 pick, at that) a crime thriller about an utter creepazoid and the other a deliberately campy and comedic B-movie. This really has been a slow year for horror movies.

That it has. Now, that said, go watch Wolf Creek 2 and The Sacrament. The first is great and the other is solid as well. Aside from those, heard the Town that Dreaded Sundown remake is great as well

I should probably get around to Oculus, but the negative comments about the ending and the heroine's intelligence kinda put me off. Lol

Thanks for the recommendations. It reminds me that I have to watch the original Wolf Creek as well.

Just know, the original and the sequel are totally different in terms of well... pretty much everything (tone, build up, etc.) The first is a lot slower, more serious, and scary. The second is a lot faster-paced, more action, some comedy thrown in, intense & suspenseful, etc. I didn't when I first saw 2, which kinda made me hate it since I expected 1 all-over.

I know WC2 and Sacrament are both on Netflix too. Don't think WC1 is (though they have nothing in common outside the killer, so you could theoretically start with 2)
OUCH. Wait, Blood Widow above As Above, So Below?
Don't you see the Boom Mic's in BW? :skull:

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Alright, I haven't FINISHED seeing all the ones I want to see (and I knoooow I missed out on some bad ones), but here's my attempt:

Favorite
1. The Guest - 9/10
2. Wolf Creek 2 - 9/10
3. The Town that Dreaded Sundown - 8/10
4. Afflicted - 8/10 (this was 2014, yes?)
5. Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead - 8/10
6. The Sacrament - 7/10 (if Afflicted doesn't count)

Worst
1. Wrong Turn 6 - 0/10 (It'd be negatives if I could)
2. All Cheerleaders Die - 1/10 (the half I saw, anyways. Could not finish)
3. Mischief Night - 1/10
4. Death Do Us Part - 2/10 (this feels too high, but it WAS significantly better than the others and still absolutely awful, so :skull: )
5. Varsity Blood - 2/10
6. Stage Fright - 3/10
7. 7500 - 3/10
8. VHS: Viral - 3/10
9. Mine Games - 3.5/10
10. Joy Ride 3: Road Kill - 4/10

If I'm cutting out the lowbudget stuff that was kinda guaranteed to suck, which I knew going in then:

1. Wrong Turn 6
2. Stage Fright
3. 7500
4. VHS: Viral
5. Oculus - 4/10

I count it as 2013 since that's when I saw it. But I think theatrically 2014 counts.
