Anyone seen the 1980s version of The Boogeyman?

Watched it Friday night. Low budget, but I thought it was okay.

It'd make a good double feature with Dark Night Of The Scarecrow.

I know of the more recent one, but all I know about the original is that the career of its director, Ulli Lommel, kind of went in the toilet afterwards. When it comes to pure hackery, he's arguably worse than Uwe Boll. This and The Blank Generation are, from what I've seen on IMDb, the only films to his name that are even watchable.

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Slight dated now and low budget.

Has an eerie quality to it though.

I like it alot. It is nothing special, but in terms of 80s horror movies, it is decent. I'd rather watch it than the 2005 movie of the same name. Not a remake, but Sony milked the similar names by releasing the 1980 movie on DVD.

Life's hard, grow a pair.
I know for a fact that I've watched the 1980's version recently, but beyond a few deaths I can't really remember it...so I'll take that as a sign that I didn't like it :)
