Jersey boy for life!

Shit, can't forget Ellen Ripley. She, Laurie, and Sidney are pretty much a holy trinity of final girls, each of them going above and beyond the archetype (especially in their respective sequels) but still clearly rooted in it. Another good one might be Sarah Connor, but her most defining film was Terminator 2, in which she was a straight-up action heroine as opposed to the fairly conventional final girl she was in the first film. Both versions of her since, in The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Genisys, take more after the second film than the first. |

It kinda depends on the sequels, but Aliens Ripley, H20 JLC, and Scream 3/4 Sidney are pretty much amazing powerhouses of final girls. Yeah, I didn't LOVE Sarah until T2 (I did like her in 1), and that's really the movie that defined the character. She is amazing in it though. I'd put agony from Friday 2 down as amazing too, honestly. You don't usually see her put on par with the likes of Laurie or Sidney, but I think she'd fit right in with them despite only having one film. Especially loved the child psychology angle. And while she's not on par with the others mentioned here, Friday 6 has a really awesome and unique final girl too. I also love Alice and Nancy from ANOES big time. |

If I would rank the top 3 recent final girls 1. Erin- You're Next. 2. Sara - Starry Eyes. I found her character extremely compelling and memorable. Loved her. 3. Mia- Evil Dead. |
