![]() "Shy, sensitive April (Emma Roberts) is the class virgin -a popular soccer player and frequent babysitter for her single-dad coach, Mr. B. (James Franco). Teddy (Jack Kilmer) is an introspective artist whose best friend and sidekick Fred (Nat Wolff) is an unpredictable live wire with few filters or boundaries. While April negotiates a dangerous affair with Mr. B., and Teddy performs community service for a DUI - secretly carrying a torch for April, who may or may not share his affection - Fred seduces Emily (Zoe Levin), a promiscuous loner who seeks validation through sexual encounters. One high school party bleeds into another as April and Teddy finally acknowledge their mutual affection, and Fred's escalating recklessness spirals into chaos." Finally saw it this weekend and I liked it. It had really strong acting from all of the cast, a great soundtrack, authentic feel and look. Only thing it was missing was a plot. |

I bought her as the class virgin. She was good in the role and was one of the best parts of the movie. |

I've seen her as good girls (or any role she's not playing herself AKA Madison Montgomery) and she has been consistently terrible. While it's possible her performance in this was superior to her abysmal performances in Freak Show and Scream 4, I highly doubt that will be the case |

She is far better here than in those two roles. It is a far different role from her Madison Montgomery type ones, but she still gave a strong performance.

Well, I did forget her in Nancy Drew where she was okay as the cutesy type, but that role really doesn't require much range or acting talent. At all. Critics HAVE been praising her in this though, which just seems beyond unreal. |
