Forget about the bloody gods and lsiten to what I'm telling you
I love sex scenes in slasher movies; part of the formula and adds to the film IMO :P
It feels like something is just like, missing without one in say... a Friday the 13th

The problem is when the scene is too long and explicit.

The "creepy" kid talking so calm about "the boogie man" or "the bad man" coming to see him. Perfect example was in Dark Skies, an okay movie thanks to the wonderful Keri Russell, but oh my god the youngest son annoyed me to no end.

Another example was the kid in Mirrors. "He just wants to play". So annoying.
There's only one Sydney Bristow.

Building on that, the fact that they just call every unknown monster "the boogeyman". The only time it's even remotely applicable is if the Bee Gees are hiding under your bed. (Y'know, if I were making a Scary Movie sequel, that's one of the jokes I'd have.) When even the adults are referring to the monster as "the boogeyman", it gets laughable quickly.

Yeah, kids being unfazed by scary things bugs me too. Another example is RZH2 when the kid bumps into homeless behemoth Michael and just says "are you a giant?"

Showing the monsters/ghosts/demons which ruins their fear effect. Like Mama in the movie Mama. I prefer "fear of the unknown" then showing it in your face.
