I know this is my least favorite, but still enjoyable. Plus I find this very rewatchable. It's fun and campy, and doesn't take itself seriously. Plus it has a good looking cast<3 |

If only they were good at acting (well, I guess Nick Zano was okay, but his writing wasn't exactly stellar)

Jersey boy for life!

Yes, if only. Still wouldn't change the fact that practically all their development feels like it was on the cutting room floor. Or that their deaths are mostly weak, with only a few decent ones. Or that the special effects look terrible. Or that, while this isn't the only film in the series to have plot holes, never were they more obvious than they are here. This felt more like a cheap ripoff of a Final Destination movie, and it stuns me that this had the same writer and director as the second one. My full review is here. |

I'd say the development was..... but I'd be lying. They really just didn't give a fuck about anything beyond deaths, which they couldn't even be bothered to do well (you can see the roots of this in 3, but at least that had good leads... and even some good deaths) And yeah, the plothole with the cowboy is painful. What's worse is the writer actually thinks they had an ingenious explanation throwing back to the first film (not changing seats). Problem is.... not changing seats is the reason he didn't die. Therefore it can't change his death order spot. In contrast, Alex was going to die no matter what seat he was in, it just changes when he'd have died. If I had to give this anything, it's that there's worse sequels. Aside from that... the car wash scene was sorta cool and it has some so-bad-its-good qualities (Janet's narmy one-liners are amusing) |
