Chrissie, she's really the only one I love. Whitney is likeable as well. Jenna and Nancy are boring. I hate Erin with every ounce of my being. Beyond the fact she was the obvious lead from the moment the movie started (you can tell within 30 seconds of meeting her), she wasn't even a LIKEABLE lead. She was a spoiled, whiny, self-centered bitch. If things didn't go her way, she whined until they did. Not only that, but I don't like stuck up prudes either, and Erin basically death glared people if they so much as had a beer. Not to mention she was an absolute moron, and often succeeded in making things worse. And, worst of all, almost the entire cast is pretty much willing to throw their lives away to make sure So yes, team Chrissie. |

I agree that Erin was obvious, but she was the only TCM character who WASN'T self-cenetered, The guys wanted to dump a daed body because it was a minor inconvenience, and Pepper wanted to ditch Kemp in HIS OWN VAN. I'd be whiny too if I had to deal with people who cared more about a Sweet Home Alabama than a suicide. And she wasn't smoking because she was pregnant, not a prude. It's not said in the final film, but there are still a lot of clues (feeling ill at the beginning, wanting Kemper to propose, her protection of the baby). I pick her. She didn't take any shit. The rest ranged from boring (Chrissie, Jenna, Whitney) to really boring (Nancy). |

Pepper wanted to leave because they found a girl's teeth and she was freaked out. Plus, she knew Kemper for less than 24 hours. I don't expect her to have undying loyalty. Plus, she was against dumping the body. Kemper voted against leaving the body. Andy supported leaving the body (but only after they showed up at the weird, creepy place in the middle of nowhere with the police NOWHERE in sight), but then refused to leave without Kemper and sacrificed himself to save Erin. Morgan was self-centered, but I don't like him at all either. EDIT: And even HE sacrificed himself for Erin... though it felt completely unnatural and out of character but whatever... I'm aware of the pregnant thing, but it was cut from the final film and, aside from the ill thing (which I JUST noticed recently), she never came across as remotely pregnant. I literally thought she was prude on my first viewing. I figured the proposing thing was her being the whiny control freak she was. I didn't think Chrissie was boring at all. I actually really wanted to see her live. Edited by Repo, Mar 5 2013, 10:29 PM.

Kemper chose to dump her. "Baby, she's dead. I don't think it matters where we leave her". Andy chose to dump her because he didn't want to wait for the Sheriff (and the place they were supposed to wait at wasn't particularly weird or creepy). As for Pepper, Erin didn't know the hitchhiker at all but she still tried to help her. They all had moments of selflessness, but Erin was the only one consistently. I don't think they cut her being pregnant, just the scene where she tells Kemper which is random as hell and really soap opera-ish. Chrissy was like Erin without the personality to me. Both tomboys, both wanted wedding rings, both out to save their friends, but Chrissy was unassertive and bland while Erin was a cool tomboy. |

Then why didnt they dump the body and leave? It would've been 3 to 1 then. Perfect example of Erin throwing a hissy fit and getting her way. Even if she was morally right, stuff like that pisses me off. It seemed a bit creepy to me lol. But it was more of a waiting thing. Pepper tried to help the hitchhiker as well. Things had changed though between then and when she wanted to just get out of there when she wanted to leave Kenper (again, finding human teeth) That said, I would agree that on a moral level, all but Erin did wrong things. That's part of why I like them more as well. While Erin is playing Little Miss Perfect (and throwing a hissy fit when she can't get her way) and Morgan is just acting 100% self-centered 100% of the time, the other 3 felt human. They weren't perfect and were absolutely focused on themselves at times, but they weren't horrible people and DID care about the well bein of the others too. I honestly would never have guessed she was pregnant without knowing about that scene. See, I thought Chrissie came off as a smart, likeable, compelling lead. Instead of being a whiny bitch who throws a fit, she's supportive of her friends and boyfriend. Instead of just running around with a meat cleaver like a moron, she uses different strategies to try and take down Leatherface. She surveys the Hewitt residence before rushing in. Plus, Jordana is 10x the actress Jessica is. |

How dare she throw a hissy fit over dumping a dead body on the side of the road! The house, car yard, and place they find Jedidiah are creepy, but the waiting spot was pretty average. I can understand Pepper, but still. there was obviously something going on, and they couldn't just go to the cops because the cops had proved to be useless. Leaving Kemper was a death sentence for him. If all four had gone back, they would have outnumbered whoever had Kemper. She wasn't supportive of Eric; she didn't want him going to war either but didn't have the balls to say anything unlike Bailey. What strategies did Chrissy use besides not looking in back seats? And Chrissy was dumb for going into the Hewitt residence at all after it was confirmed there were murderers in there, while Erin spends the rest of the movie after meeting Leatherface trying to GTFO. |

Don't forget her hissy fit about the weed! ![]() The ONLY reason Pepper doing that doesn't piss me off is because she hasn't even known him for 24 hours. Like, in that case I understand being less caring. It's one of the only moments I actually like and agree with Erin's behavior. Also... Is Math not your strong suit lol? 4 Collegr Kids vs. 7-8 psychos loonies XD One of whom has a chainsaw I interpreted it as her not wanting him to go but trying to not make him feel worse. She IS my least favorite of the 4 leads though, by far. Eric and Dean <3333 As for strategies, there's her hiding from Leatherface in that goop (where she can submerge herself and escape) and waiting till he ha his back turned rather than taking a cleaver, cornering yourself in a meat locker, and waving it around like a madwoman XD Also, I actually DID NOT mind her going back. First off, she did try to get help (the bikers, since the police wouldn't be useful) And well, I understand not wanting to leave your friends and loved ones to die. As I said one of Erin's only good scenes IMO |

Bitch, if you don't want to get arrested for possession of 10 pounds of weed, get out my van! Yeah, but most of those psycho loonies weren't home. So it was 4 against whoever had Kemper, an old guy with no legs, and a cute puppy. But there's little Chrssie, one girl, could do against 7-8 psycho loonies who ARE home. And even if she did get their wounded asses, it wouldn't take long for the Hewitt's to catch up. She really had no choice but to leave them, but it's a prequel. And Erin did wait for the right moment with the cleaver, and she got an arm out of it. All without having to hide inside pig guts. Boss. |

Well... It was 3 against 1 XD Plus, if you don't know about it, I don't think they could arrest you. And if she didnt insist on picking up a disturbed (potentially dangerous!) hitchhiker, everything would've been fine. She KINDA caused every death in the film with her actions if you think about it lol One of whom had a chainsaw Erin spent the whole movie getting them INTO that mess, then she drops them all like a hot potatoe when shit goes south. Lovely That's why I referred to her as Miss Mary Sue. Swinging around a meat cleaver like a mad woman and getting lucky XD Plus, she's a goody good do-gooder of goodness. Plus, everyone except Pepper felt this urge to die for her. Edited by Repo, Mar 6 2013, 06:26 AM.
