So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

No. Otherwise we wouldn't have this site because we'd all be psychos that are in prison.
Watching someone kill a fictional character isn't the same as killing someone yourself. If someone DOES commit a murder after seeing a horror movie, something was wrong with said person before hand.

Exactly. It always annoys me when these real life killers DO blame the movies for what they do, or at least claim it's what "pushed" them to do the crime because it not only is an excuse for their own evil behavior, but it also causes all horror fans to look psychotic. cx

A person can be inspired by anything to do anything. A lot of people decided to be stock brokers after they saw Wall Street, for example. However, if a movie does make you want to do things, it is still your responsibility not to act on it.

That's true. I think the problem is, that some people even believe that the movies giving bad people the urge to do violence is bad enough and should be banned. Honestly though a good movie would make the bad people out to be what they are... bad people. So it once again the person would have to be evil already in order to see the killer and want to be like him/her.

This is pretty much 100% my stance

I hate how people blame movies for ANYTHING people do. Mainly because it's just a pathetic way to ignore that there are people that evil in the world. It's like the conspiracy theorists that blame some huge imaginary group that causes these people to do horrible things (like shootings/murder) because they cant accept that the human species has people that are simply pure evil.

I admit that a movie could give someone ideas. But like everyone else said, the person would have to already be really fucked up for actually doing it.

it can give someone ideas for real violence but only ideas. the person themselves is who ultimately causes the real violence
