84 years later, a 101-year-old woman named Rose DeWitt Bukater tells the story to her granddaughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell and Anatoly Mikailavich on the Keldysh about her life set in April 10th 1912, on a ship called Titanic when young Rose boards the departing ship with the upper-class passengers and her mother, Ruth DeWitt Bukater, and her fiancé, Caledon Hockley. Meanwhile, a drifter and artist named Jack Dawson and his best friend Fabrizio De Rossi win third-class tickets to the ship in a game. And she explains the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage April 15th, 1912 at 2:20 in the morning.

Was Rose a virgin?

There is a ton of debate on this.

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me when I've got nothing but my aching soul?

I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be
I like this movie, it's overrated but still good.

And I don't know... I think she might have been but I don't think there is an answer really.

(also, I added a poster and plot)

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

I agree about really liking this movie, but it is VERY overrated. I wish they focused on something other then the love story.

There are certain rules one must abide by to successfully survive a horror movie
This movie is overrated.

Kinda stupid.

Very beautiful film though, and some scenes are just amazing, ok characters, typical love story.

It can't be overrated if everyone says it is overrated. It's had so much hype backlash that at this point it is almost underrated.

This is my most watched movie ever. In theaters (4 times) and at home (countless). Even with how long it is, it never gets old. Recently got the awesome blu ray set of it.

It also got me obsessed with the real ship. Here is me on a grand staircase replica at the Vegas Titanic museum.

I don't think it's THAT underrated. Not on the levels of some movies out there. It's definitely a powerful and strong film, and it does deserve it's success. I just feel that it should have focused a bit more on some of the heroes of the ship that saved *hundreds of lives. Still a good film.

Cameron said the reason he didn't focus on the people who saved thousands of lives was because there were only 700 survivors. :P

I get what you mean, but I think the film does show a lot of the heroics. I believe it's the first Titanic film to show Fifth Officer Lowe go back to pick up survivors, for example.
