This is a horror movie?
Yep. Psychological horror.
I thought it was a thriller, but I havent seen so I guess I was wrong :P
Well... it is. But it's got plenty of horror elements as well. Definitely enough to qualify as horror. It's quite terrifying at times
Wow I never knew. Idk if I'll see this soon but it does sound good.
You need to

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry, for everything that I've done
But when I call you never seem to be home

Just saw this. MASTERPIECE!

What stands out most (to me) has got to be the composition, which was amazing. On a technical level, this is about as close to perfection as a movie can get. At least that I've seen. The shots are beautiful, the music is perfect, the editing is spectacular. It was really incredible, and it truly made the movie. Also absolutely loved the pacing and the progressive, unending increase of intensity and speed.

The blending between fantasy and reality was also spectacular. This is really just an all around phenomenal directing job. Acting was great too (particularly Natalie Portman, obviously), but the real star of this film was Aronofsky's direction. Seriously.

10/10. Really, really easily a 10/10. The 2010s have been an amazing decade for the horror genre.

Requiem For a Dream was the same way. Aronofsky is (mostly) the man.

I watched Starry Eyes with friends and a lot of them thought that it ripped off this movie. They really aren't anything alike aside from the main character's struggle to make it in the industry they work in.

TOTALLY blew me away. My dad was watching too and he isn't usually into stuff like this and he still really liked it.

And yeah, Requiem was even better than this. But both are great, ditto for Aronofsky (well... mostly is right)
