Which of these major slasher series is best? (Originals, sequels, remakes, reboots, etc. The entire thing)

AND YES! How could I forget the soundtrack! ANOES has one of my favorite scores ever, the original's is up there with Suspiria for me (I can only clearly remember soundtracks when I positively adore them)
I'd place the Carpenter score above it. I more meant the songs. Running From This Nightmare, Anything Anything, I'm Awake Now, Whisper to a Scream, etc.
OH! IA there then
Halloween's is amazing too, but I like ANOES's score a little more personally

There are certain rules one must abide by to successfully survive a horror movie
Friday and Halloween are my top two. Not sure about the rest.

I don't think I could answer this lol. I want to give different answers for different reasons, but personally it would go somewhere along the lines of:

Scream/Halloween>ANOES>F13th>TCM. The first 3 could all change though, it just depends what I'm in the mood for I just know more often than not I'll watch the Scream movies over most.

I'm still not sure if that's my final answer but fuck it lol.

Scream has 3 and 4 to drag it down, big time. That's half the series and it's a really short one.
Halloween.. I never got the craze for it. Half of them are prertty bad IMO and the continuity is just atrocious. Also only has a few standout characters to me

Nightmare <3

I know what you're saying. I can't disagree entirely tbh, I don't mind Scream 4, 3 though I can admit was pretty dire lol. The first 2, especially 1 have just made such an impression on me I simply can't rank it not in my top 2. The Halloween liking stems from my love for 1,2 and 4, they are 3 of my favourite all time slashers and Michael Myers was also the most memorable from my childhood.

F13th and TCM I never got in to as much, although I always enjoyed the 13th's.

ANOES is just a victim to my love of Scream and Halloween 1,2, and 4/Michael Myers, I couldn't argue with people who rate the ANOES series higher than the rest as I can see why they do so - it's just personal preference.

Like, Hostel is a better movie than CF but I prefer CF - if that makes sense lol.

An honourable mention also goes to the Hellraiser collection, 1-3 we're amazing.

4's pretty much just average overall, but it has some DIRE scenes (Fuck Bruce Willis) 1&2 are fantastic though, I'd rank it much higher if the sequels were better
Halloweens 1, 2, and 4 are all really good. And I also appreciate the RZHs. I stand by the original ANOES movie kicking all their asses, and IDK if they even hold up against 3, 4, and New Nightmare. Halloween also has the ultimate low of all 5 series: Halloween 5. I can't ignore the bad ones and just look at the good ones :P It's also telling when your continuity is worse than TCM

Nightmare never leaves me bored, except the worthless remake. Plus, the original <3 It also features the best killer and some great characters. It probably has the strongest of all the series overall.

Love Hellraisers 1-3, but I hear it all goes to hell from 4 and beyond. Scared to see

Yeah I wouldn't bother watching past 3 lol. Going off the first 3 though it had the potential to be my favourite series,

Scream 4 has it bad moments, 3 was just a bad movie in general, I don't think it's fair to compare 4 to 3.

I am going to watch the ANOES series again in the coming month(s) so I'll always have a chance to change my mind.

Just out of curiosity, how do you rank ANOES compared to the FD and Saw franchises?
