I love both, but I think normal killers are my favorite. If only because they are the scariest in some ways. Because most of the time "normal" killers are as simple as a man in a mask. It makes it more realistic. And ultimately makes it feel more like something that could happen.

Superhuman ones are cool though.

Supernatural. Since they not only encompass guys in masks, but zombies, werewolves, ghosts, etc.

I like both however a regular human character who keeps on fighting and has a dark intelligence is better. still the biggest icons of horror are superhuman

Damon: im bad Andie i do things i kill people

Andie: why do you kill people

Damon: because i like it- Damon Salvatore talking to Andie Star from season 2 of the Vampire Diaries

The killer isn't even the best human character (BC) or even close.
I stand by Supernatural for Addyson's reasoning.

It all depends on the writing. IMO, a poorly-written "normal" human killer is less realistic than a poorly-written supernatural killer, as you expect the normal human to obey the physical laws and rules of this world, while with a supernatural killer, breaking those rules is part of the character. For instance: the killer in the original Urban Legend.
Spoiler: click to toggle

They also have different qualities. A well-written human killer can feel like something that can exist in the real world, while a well-written supernatural killer is a threat that the characters aren't used to and which they have to think harder for solutions for beyond "shoot it in the face". Again, it all comes down to the quality of the writing and the production; a well-made film can make even clearly fanciful monsters feel very real.
