The style and the atmosphere are one of the coolest parts? I don't understand. *rolls eyes* I need to see Goodfellas because I see all of this criticism about it being too similar. |

I thought our problem was that it's lammmmeeee and there's not enough things going boom boom which makes our brains hurt? But do see Goodfellas. The narration, editing, music choices, dark humor, perversion of the American dream, crazy housewife being cheated on, loose canon supporting player, it's all being aped. It even has wig jokes. I agree with Kevin's review. If it stopped imitating, I would have liked it more. And if 10 nominations is evidence of it's greatness, Doctor Doolittle would like a word. |

I feel like the Best Supporting Actress is going to be similar to the Viola Davis vs. Meryl Streep situation a few years back when it was Viola (for "The Help") against Meryl (for "The Iron Lady"). It can literally go either way. |

It actually is a pretty similar race so far. Meryl won the Globe and Viola won the SAG and CC. I guess the BAFTA will be the deciding factor. Edited by Smeagollum, Jan 18 2014, 11:31 PM.

I did like this, but I agree that it was VEEERY Goodfellas lmao. Jennifer Lawrence was GREAT, but I'm not really sure if she should of won that Golden Globe over Lupita Nyong'o. I'm seeing 12 Years a Slave early next month, so I'll be able to judge better then. LOL at the 'LIVE AND LET DIE' scene. |

All the drama and tension with this on DA like ![]() Late, but good Lorde. O'Russell is worse than Ryan Murphy. Cooper and Lawrence again (in Joy)? (and De Niro) J Law, I like you. Work with different directors Critics seem to be getting sick of this too based on reviews. For me, it's not so much that these suck (I can't say, not seen) as much as it is that it's boring for everyone to keep working with the exact same people again and again
