Blinding sunlight beats down as the thin door to an old Eastern style building opens. The bitter scents of medicinal herbs waft out to meet the brightness, so people both inside and out would have at least one of their senses offended. Covering her eyes to ward off the sunlight, a woman steps out from the small hospital, and immediately every male gaze in the vicinity is on her for her highly revealing purple shirt and jacket, only covering down just below her chest. Not that her multi-part kilt with the front cloth removed is any better. No one could have guessed that Relia Tepes, who dared bare so much skin in the heat of the midday sun, is a vampire, the daughter of the infamous Count Dracula. After a brief stretch, she starts across the street towards a nearby lunch stand. |

Relia has to restrain herself from stepping away from the vulgar woman. "Alright. Come with me, please." She leads Gabrielle two minutes back to her small clinic and offers her a cushion on the floor to sit on. "So. Can I ask exactly what you are? I know you're not a full vampire; you wouldn't be out in the sun if you were. A dhampir, perhaps?" |

Gabrielle shook her head when offered a seat. "I p-prefer to stand, no offence meant." she said, choosing instead to lean against an empty space of wall, folding her arms so she wouldn't fidget. Oh fuck, when she got back she'd have to dig up that stupid 'Stereotypical 'Cool' Loner' bingo card Arty got her and tick off about seven boxes on it, just for that. "That's right." she said, nodding. "I'm a dhamphir. Guessing you're not though, you reek of being fullblood." She grimaced at what she'd just said. "Th-that came out w-way more insulting than I meant it to. I just mean... your blood smells too strong to be a halfbreed. Y-you're some kind of Daywalker type, I'm guessing." |

"That's right." Relia nods, frowning lightly. A dhampir. This could be trouble. "As far as I know, I am the only true Daywalker still alive. Not even my father possessed such an ability... although he made up for it in other regards. I am Relia Tepes, in case you were wondering."

Tepes? Seriously? Gabrielle looked Relia up and down. ...yeah, okay, she was basically one case of random lesbianism away from being the most stereotypical lady vampire Gabrielle had met yet. Which had been a surprising amount. "Gabrielle Viaris." she said, nodding as she spoke. There was a moment of silence, uncomfortable for at least one person in the group. A flurry of questions came to mind, of course. It's just that the all; centred around 'so, just how much of a parasite are you?' "So. What are you... uh, doing here?" A+ for self control. |

"A pleasure." Relia has to force herself not to shudder from uttering such words; meeting a dhampir is hardly a pleasure. "I work here as an herbal doctor and researcher; my father was a plague upon humanity, and I wish to make amends for what he wrought. How about you?" |

"Oh. That's..." Gabrielle faltered for a moment, trying to think of the word that she was thinking of, if that made sense. ...it started with a guy's name. ...fuckit. "Good of you. Yeah, that's it." She shrugged at the the question. "I don't do much. I kill monsters for bounties, because it pays well and it cleans up the outskirts." She bared her teeth in something vaguely related to a grin to show her sharp teeth. "Before you ask, no. I don't hunt just your kind of monster." |

Relia sniffs at the little barb, but makes no further Hm. A monster hunter. Not enough of those these days. "I see. I'm glad to hear such an able woman is protecting our walls. One more question, if you don't mind." Her eyes narrow a little. "Do you know Dr. Lou Levy, or a way to come in contact with him?" |

"Lady, if I need to go to a doctor for an injury, I'd probably be dead before I got there." Gabrielle raised her eyebrows. "Why are you asking? He's not of those assholes that poison medical supplies is he?" |

"You haven't heard of Dr. levy?" Relia frowns; how could anyone not hear of the miracle worker? "No, he's not. In fact, he's done wonders for humanity." "Some far too miraculous for me to accept." |

"Like I said. I don't really need doctors that much. And I don't pay much attention to much inside the city either. As my friend says, I'm pretty much wilfully and painfully ignorant." She looked at Relia, raising her eyebrows. "You sound pretty suspicious of the guy." |
