"How's this?" Hierakos is doubled over, both from protecting Perry and trying not to vomit from the sudden decline. "If I ever let it slip, you have full right to let the City Guard know I nearly coughed up my lunch there." Face pale, he leans back and allows Perry to flutter up to his shoulder. "But at least the worst's over." |

"Acceptable comp... com... good bargain. Yeah. Nearly there though, thank fuck," she said, internally offering a prayer to Stygia for not claiming their souls via the doomtrain today. She reached out to pet Perry, then paused. "Is it okay if I touch him? Or would he prefer if I didn't for whatever reason?" |

As the falcon cocked its head and trained a golden eye on Gabrielle, Hierakos smirked and held out a hand. Perry fluttered over and landed on his wrist, clenching as tight as it could with its talons. "He prefers it this way. Go ahead." |

Gabrielle smiled, honestly a little surprised she was being allowed. She reached out and very lightly stroked his head with her thumb. "He's a proper attack bird, is he?" she asked off-handedly, "with the eye-pecking and stuff?" |

"Not too much attacking really; he's too valuable a partner to risk like that." Hierakos smiles and strokes the bird's head as well; Perry arches his head against all the attention he is suddenly receiving. "But he can do support if needed. Full-speed divebombs to rake with its claws from a falcon can really do some damage. And they usually won't see it coming if they're busy with me." He stops and ponders a moment. "He also makes a decent scout." |

"Dive-bombing and scouting?" Gabrielle asked the bird. "Well, aren't you just an awesome little falcon, huh? Yeah! Best bird!" She continued petting him for a few moments longer until the train began to visibly slow down and she perked up. "Finally! Feels like we've been on this train for months!" |

Hierakos grins and gives Perry one last stroke before lowering his arm; the falcon fluttered back up to his shoulder. "He really is. Best animal partner out there, easily." As Hierakos moves toward the exit of the train, he grips the large polearm strapped over his back and flashes a bit of a vicious grin. "Alright. Let's rock." |
