"Fuck if I know, I don't really follow what's going on at the surface. None of their shit does me any good. Heard some people calling him a miracle worker, but that answers shit all." Cassidy glares briefly at the mention of her failures, but sighs and slumps back against the wall, arms crossed. "Sent me to a cavern below the Ninth Circle. Like, way deep down. No idea how anyone was supposed to figure it was there. Basically said he thought something important was down there, but I could keep all the treasure I found along the way." Her teeth grind and her fists clench. "...Soon as I took the first gem of the chamber, some fucking tree guy that I thought was a statue came to life and started chasing me down." |

Whilst she was explaining herself, Relia was already getting a kettle boiled and putting a few tea leaves together and a couple of earthenware mugs. "Every snake oil salesman who cures a few patients calls themselves a miracle worker. Half didn't even earn their PhD..." she muttered to herself, casting a glance to the extremely old worn yellowed paper kept preserved behind a glass frame. The writing was faded but it was obvious that it was a diploma of some kind. "Though to send someone to the caverns below Ninth means he has some agenda, no one goes down there without a deathwish. Or with the devil's own luck." Another frown. That sounded very much like the deal she was going to offer the young thi- treasure hunter. Now wasn't that interesting? Poor girl should really choose her marks better. "Did you find anything else down there that could prove beneficial?" she asked, more out of curiousity than anything, pouring their herbal tea. "Come, sit. This will relax your muscles and mind. Plus, it's good for your he-Excuse me?" Relia just tilted her head, jaw slightly agape. "...a....tree person...chased you." There was silence. Followed by a rich musical laughter, extremely pleasant to the ear. "My dear, you've done something no one has for the past few hundred years and that is surprise me. Don't fret, I believe you. After all, my race is not exactly common knowledge either. Now come on. Drink up." The tone broached no argument. |

"Nothing really, I got outta there as soon as I fucking could." Cassidy takes a seat and sips down some of the offered tea. Still, she quirks an eyebrow up at Relia. "Huh? What do you mean? What was that thing?" |

I have no idea. As I said, you surprised me." Relia replied honestly. She seemed happy that Cassidy was drinking the tea though. Sitting herself opposite the blonde, running a hand through her lustrous raven locks shaking her head slightly. "You've been used, I think. This Dr Levy wanted you to wake up whatever this thing was, possibly as a test of something's defences...poor child. You're lucky to escape." She eyed the cup once more then back to the treasure hunter. "How is it, by the way? I'm trying a slightly different recipe more for calming the nerves. How do you feel?" She already had a pen and paper out, ready to record |

"Tastes like ass, but the nerve thing seems to be working." Cassidy shrugs, taking another sip. "And really, couldn't care less what Levy wanted out of this. This shit doesn't affect me, and I get paid for it, so." |

"I highly doubt you're gong to get paid for it now, what with nothing to show for it." Relia replied, arching an eyebrow. "You can't be that jaded and that naive at the same time, no?" She made a few notes regarding the concoction she'd given the thie- treasure hunter and sighed, shaking her head. "I may have to do some more research into the Dr Levy than I first thought. Sending unaware folks down into the lower Circles without any warning as at the least, an idiot and at the most, a savage." |

"Already paid. Sorta." Cassidy pulls out her yellow gemstone and grins. "Pretty sure he'd have just given that girl her rock back without paying me back otherwise. You wanna check him out, though, he has very open hours. Shouldn't be hard. Big fancy-ass tower in the middle of the Ninth Circle." She kicks her legs up and lounges back. "So, yeah. The job?" |

As soon as Cassidy put her feet on the counter, Relia lifted them up and put them straight back onto the floor. Without looking up from her notes. "The table is an antique, darling. It's certainly older and wiser than you are, so try not to scuff it with your shoes." She paused for a moment in thought, tapping her pen on her lips, brows furrowed. "I would say that the job I have in mind isn't ready just yet. Until I feel it's safe enough for everyone involved, you're welcome to stay. However, you will keep my existence here a secret." Relia looked up at Cassidy, her eyes a sooty red. "And hearts change their rhythm when you lie. Of course, if you want out, I'm not stopping you...but those are my terms" Edited by JDGreat, May 4 2017, 05:23 AM.

Cassidy grumbles as Relia puts her feet back down, but doesn't resist. "Right, right. That's fine; I'm up for it whenever. Getting a bed's better than almost any gem and all. Like hell am I going to step out of this." |

Pausing for a moment, Relia gave the girl a look at that. Her features softened considerably and she put the pen down, giving Cassidy a warm smile. "Come with me. I'll show you your new room." Taking the blonde up the wooden stairs to the first floor, the vampire opened up the door to a well kept but sparse spare bedroom. Wooden flooring with a dark blue rug in the middle. Single bed with well kept but plain sheets and bedding. A large oak wardrobe and a nearby sturdy desk, above which was a small window letting the light in. Small enough to not be a hassle, but large enough for a quick get away if needed. "Feel free to look around...I'll be downstairs if you need me." Relia assured the treasure hunter, leaving her be to look at her new room. |
