][ The Races of Demixia ][ Copyright to Kaail of Demexia RPG ][ -- Humans -- ][ Humans were the first intelligent species to grace Demixia, representing their homeland of Godra, a continent located in the Northeastern hemisphere. An adult male can reach an average height of about six feet, give or take an inch or two. Females are usually a bit shorter. There are many variations in the human gene pool, for the simple fact that they do not tend to settle down, and instead prefer to spend their lives adventuring abroad. Coming in all shapes and colors, their skin can vary from a pale white to a purplish black, and their eyes and hair can be any color from brown to hues of red! If there is one thing a human can be known for, it is their bravery. It is not often that you'll see a human back down from a challenge. They are lean and muscular, and excel at weapon handling, which is why most able bodied men and women tend to take up the path of the warrior. They do not lack magical power, however, and with enough training, they can become powerful spellcasters. Though magic is looked down upon in most of their cultures, it is still used for its healing properties, as well as for construction and war. No one is truly sure of when they discovered how to use Fyrix, but it is a common belief that they were educated in the way of magic by the Lorcaan upon their arrival on human shores. Highly intellectual, humans would rather have a debate over an issue rather than a battle, however, some can be downright bloodthirsty. Just as some of the earliest court systems can be traced back to the humans, they are also responsible for quite a few of the earliest recorded wars. They are not peaceful by any means, but do seem to carry the capacity to forgive and to be kind. Also known to other races as being quite tricky, humans have a knack for manipulating others into doing their bidding-- whether that be through bribery or coercion. Put rather simply, if a human wants, a human tends to try and get. ||| _ _ _ _ _ ||| _ _ _ _ _ ||| Human Base Class Choices: Soldier, Adept, Fighter, Cloak ||| _ _ _ _ _ ||| _ _ _ _ _ ||| ][ -- Lorcaan -- ][ The Lorcaan developed on a rather small continent to the South of Godra called Levurix, a place known for its rainy weather and unwelcoming tribes. Adult males can reach a whopping six and a half feet, while the females stay around six feet. One thing every Lorcaan shares is their skin color-- a silvery white, making them almost glow in the moonlight. Their eyes and hair, however, can vary significantly in each individual, coming in shades from silver to light green. These people tend to take pride in their genetic differences from one another, finding solace in the fact that they are unique. A very complicated race, to say the least, the Lorcaan are known for their deep knowledge of Fyrix, the magical stone that forms naturally on Demixia. Their silvery skin is said to have formed due to their people's long-term exposure to Fyrix, with the mineral being a center point of their magical culture. For thousands of years, they used magic to heal their people, build gigantic monoliths and defend their homeland... And they continue to use magic as their greatest tool. Lacking a muscular build, most Lorcaan are spindly and tall, but their large heads house highly developed brains, capable of channeling more magical energy than any other race. This makes them capable of becoming very powerful spellcasters, which can make up for brawn in some situations. |
