Color Fix (Color Balance Tool)

The before photo had a blue color to it, and I wanted to give it a more yellow/warm look, without messing up the photo. So I used the Color Balance tool.

1)Open your image
2)Open the color balance tool. (Layer-> New Adjustment Layer-> Color Balance)

To get the color I wanted I shifted the tab away from the blue (to remove the overall blue cast), and that was it. Done.


If I wanted it more yellow I would shift the tab all the way over.

What Not To Do
Don't use the "Hue/Saturation Tool" to re-color photos.... it will only give you strange results.
Example. (I tried to turn the same photo yellow using this tool.)

IMO just use this tool if you want to change a layer that's a few basic colors. It's the best tool for that job.
However, photos and pictures.... use the "Color Balance Tool".
