I think the expression I'm looking for is "The sun even shines on a dog's ass". Your author pulled off a stunning upset over the Flyers 82-77 with Henrik Lundqvist leading the way. Enough gloating though, my team isn't very good, and Loren has built a monster, but I think what is says about our league is very telling. The DOFHL has great parity and all 18 teams can beat each other any given week. Goalie: Henrik Lundqvist - Tampa Bay 3W 1SHO 14.5 Fantasy Points(About time King!) Forward: Joe Thornton - Boston 1G 5A 9.75 Fantasy Points Defense: Ryan Suter - Dallas 5A 10.6 Fantasy Points Rookie: Filip Forsberg - New York Islanders 1G 3A 7.22 Fantasy Points Team: New York Islanders 113 Fantasy Points Our spotlight takes us to Boston where the Bruins tightened up the Atlantic Division by beating the division leading Canadians 74-71. Boston was led by Joe Thornton and Evgeni Malkin, combining for two goals and eight assists, while the Habs countered with Joe Pavelski and Steve Downie tallying seven points. In other news, Vancouver suffered possibly the worst loss of all time losing by .06 to Detroit, amazing how we have had some many matchups decided by a thin margin. Our game of the week pits two 4-6 Central foes against each other. Huge week as one of these teams will jump right back into the divisional race. P.K. Subban and Ryan Getzlaf have been the stars for the Blues, while Winnipeg might be hampered in this matchup by a sick Sidney Crosby. Will Mark Giordano and Max Pacioretty by able to step up in his absence? |
