The Islanders exacted some revenge from their crosstown rival the Rangers with a 97-65 victory. T.J. Oshie and John Mitchell led the 'Isles offensively while Cory Schneider put together a good week in goal. The Blueshirts got a great effort from Blake Wheeler in the loss. Elsewhere there were some big results in the Atlantic Division with Montreal beating division leader Buffalo and Ottawa gaining the division lead by outscoring Minnesota 100-84. More on the Senators in the awards. Goalie: Semyon Varlamov - Winnipeg 3W 1SHO 15.5 Fantasy Points Forward: David Backes - Ottawa 5G 3A 15.59 Fantasy Points Defense: John Carlson - Ottawa 1G 2A 8.75 Fantasy Points Rookie: Melker Karlsson - Philadelphia 4G 8.92 Fantasy Points Team: Ottawa - 100 Fantasy Points Could some payback by in store for week 15? Our reigning champs Phoenix will get another shot at league leader Detroit. The Wings have taken the two previous meetings and have opened up a three game lead in the division. Marc-Andre Fleury continues to star for Detroit while Claude Giroux has carried the Coyotes up the standings. A win here by the Red Wings would all but clinch the Pacific division, although I'm sure Phoenix has other ideas. |
