What a wild and crazy short week, I knew most matchups would be tight, but two were decided by less than a point! The Rangers and Wild were our paper thin winners, while the Blues and Islanders were the hard luck losers. Another tight matchup saw Boston climb within a game in the Atlantic with a come from behind win against division leader Ottawa. Bobby Ryan and Joe Thornton combined for 4 assists to lead the Bruins offense. The Senators got a good week from Ben Lovejoy who tallied a goal and an assist. Goalie: Tuukka Rask - Montreal 1W .962 SV% 10 Fantasy Points Forward: Logan Couture - Minnesota 2G 1A 6.4 Fantasy Points Defense: Erik Karlsson - New York Rangers 3G 8.1 Fantasy Points Rookie: Michael Hutchinson - Dallas 1W 1SHO 10.5 Fantasy Points Team: Detroit 54.3 Fantasy Points I'm going to do something a little different for our "Game of the Week". Instead of a divisional matchup we are going to look at two divisional leaders. Detroit leads the Pacific while Dallas is tied with Minnesota in the Central. This one will go a long way toward playoff seeding as both teams look to be locks for the postseason. Vladimir Tarasenko and Phil Kessel will no doubt lead the way offensively for the Wings, they will have to solve the Stars upstart goaltending duo of Frederik Andersen and Michael Hutchinson. Enjoy the All-Star festivities everyone! |
