And then there were four. Another week with matchups decided on Sunday night. Each division is represented in our final four.

Eastern Conference

#1 New York Islanders vs #6 Pittsburgh

Final Score: New York 87.81 Pittsburgh 86.89

Brassard! Brassard! Brassard! He is the toast of New York right now as he scored late Sunday night to lift the Islanders into the Eastern Conference finals. He also owns the goal that gave New York the Metro division title. While Brassard was a great story this matchup was owned by the goalies. What a performance on both sides a combined 5 shutouts! Ondrej Pavelec and Jonathan Quick were tremendous for the Pens, while Carey Price and Corey Schneider matched them step for step. Perhaps the difference was Keith Kincaid who was called upon Friday night for his first action of the season, he responded by picking up the win and making 29 saves.

Three Stars
3. Cory Schneider - New York 10.5
2. Carey Price - New York 14
1. Ondrej Pavelec - Pittsburgh 15.5

#2 Montreal vs #4 Ottawa

Final Score: Montreal 88.4 Ottawa 64.4

Another trip to the East Finals for the Canadians. Montreal got off to a great start on rival Ottawa and never gave up the lead. This one was the opposite of the other Eastern series, the offense took center stage in this battle. Joe Pavelski and Jordan Eberle combined for 4 goals for the Habs. Ottawa has a lot to look forward to next year as Marko Dano was a breakout star down the stretch for the team posting two goals and an assist this week. Montreal faces New York with a return trip to the finals hanging in the balance.

Three Stars
3. Joe Pavelski - Montreal 7.075
2. David Backes - Ottawa 9.63
1. Jordan Eberle - Montreal 10.395

Western Conference

#1 Detroit vs #4 Phoenix

Final Score: Detroit 85.85 Phoenix 71.82

The President's Champ vs "The Champ". This matchup lived up to the hype with the Wings pulling away on the weekend for the victory. Like any champion the Coyotes did not go quietly. Relying on their big guns co-Conn Smyth winners Victor Hedman and Claude Giroux each putting up over 8 points. Their goaltending was spectacular as always with "the three heading monster" putting up 23 points. The real "monster" though was Detroit's offense putting up 77 points. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins led the way with 3 goals and 3 assists. Mark Stone continues to impress tallying a goal and 4 assists in the win. Marc-Andre Fleury picked up 8 points for the Wings, who may need more from him to advance to the Cup finals.

Three Stars
3. Ben Bishop - Phoenix 9
2. Mark Stone - Detroit 9.04
1. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Detroit 11.53

#2 Winnipeg vs #3 Minnesota

Final Score: Minnesota 93 Winnipeg 89.9

Back and forth this two teams went all week neither opening up a big lead. In the end the Wild had just enough to end Winnipeg's incredible streak at 9. Mark Schiefele has gotten better and better as the season went on putting up over 10 points this week. In goal Roberto Luongo returned and picked up a win. Unfortunately Steve Mason's hot play came to an end for Winnipeg. On the other side Eddie Lack has continued to put up points every week for the Wild. The offense continues to roll for Minnesota, this week Kyle Turris went crazy with 4 goals and 2 assists. Juri Hudler and Jacub Voracek each added 6 points a piece.
