#1 Detroit Red Wings 17-5 vs #3 Minnesota Wild 13-9

Season Series: Detroit 1-0
Week 11 Detroit 109.99-96.49 Minnesota

Leading Scorers by position

Detroit:
Vladimir Tarasenko 125.27
Brent Seabrook 93.2
Marc-Andre Fleury 167

Minnesota:
John Tavares 139.48
Niklas Kronwall 94.02
Jonathan Bernier 110.5

Goaltending
Kind of a change here over the past month. Marc-Andre Fleury has been solid all year but lately hasn't been picking up the wins. The Wings other goalie Jonas Hiller hasn't seen much time lately. Minnesota has been pleasantly surprised by Eddie Lack who has turned in some impressive weeks lately. The Wild hope Jonathan Bernier can give them a couple points in net. Tough one here. Edge: Detroit

Forwards
Now this is going to be fun. Two of the most explosive offenses in the league matched against each other. I have raved on and on about Minnesota's top 6, but now I have to include guys like Kyle Turris and Drew Stafford who have played huge in the playoffs. The Red Wings have so many young stars up front any of them can take a week and explode. Last week was Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, my guess is this is Vladimir Tarasenko's time to shine. Can't believe I have to pick this! Edge: Minnesota

Defense
Both of these squads have some underrated bluelines. Detroit has steady Brent Seabrook playing big minutes and can be counted on to provide points. Jonas Brodin and Marc-Edouard Vlasic have also been very consistant in putting points up. Minnesota's defense has improved with the play lately of Hampus Lindholm and Morgan Rielly to go along with Phaneuf and Kronwall. Edge: Detroit

Conclusion
I literally have been sitting here thinking about this for a half hour. These two teams are very similar to each other, tremendous offenses and steady bluelines. Can I just say first one to 100 wins? Alright you guys need a pick. I will take Minnesota to take the West.
