#2 Montreal Canadians 13-9 vs #3 Minnesota Wild 13-9 Season Series: Montreal 1-0 Week 7 Montreal 96-82 Minnesota Leading Scorers by position Montreal: Joe Pavelski 134.73 Andrej Sekera 71.93 Tuukka Rask 162 Minnesota: John Tavares 139.48 Niklas Kronwall 94.02 Jonathan Bernier 110.5 Goaltending ![]() The Canadians will be tough to beat if Tuukka Rask continues to get his stride back over the next two weeks. Karri Ramo had a decent stretch but no might not get the net back. Minnesota's duo of Jonathan Bernier and Eddie Lack just seem to keep putting up enough points to put them over the top. No huge weeks just 6 or 7 points a week. Tough not to go with Rask, but I think I will take the two over one. Edge: Minnesota Forwards ![]() Talk about talent on both sides. Minnesota continues to find guys who always seem to be on the scoresheet. Jiri Hudler has been incredible over the back half on the season, while John Tavares could walk away with the points title. Talk about the perfect time for your offense to break out for the Canadians putting up 111 last week. Joe Pavelski has led the team in scoring all year, but Gabriel Landeskog and Patrick Sharp have stepped up in the playoffs. Edge: Minnesota Defense ![]() Both teams have underrated bluelines. The Canadians have had a couple of young guys step up in Danny DeKeyser and Codi Ceci to go along with veteran Andrej Sekera. Minnesota has their own pair of young guns on defense in Hampus Lindholm and Morgan Rielly. Close one here almost mirror images of each other. Edge: Montreal Conclusion Well it all comes down to this. The final always provides an extra amount of intrigue with the added week. I can't week to see what these offenses can do with seven extra days. Might we see the 200 point mark broken by both teams. I've gone back and forth on this, I can see Rask getting on a roll, but also see some of Minnesota's forwards put up 20 points. In the end I believe the Cup will reside in the State of Hockey: Minnesota Edited by NYI - Commish, Mar 31 2015, 04:24 AM.

I voted Minnesota in the poll but its truly a close match-up on paper, just went with a gut feel for Minny's momentum. Good luck to both! |
![]() And now the Rangers had it because they beat the Vancouver Canucks last night in a spine-tingler of a Game 7 in the finals. When it ended, amid the anxiety and perspiration of a 3-2 victory, fireworks exploded overhead. Tears and champagne flowed. A fan held up a sign that said "Now, I Can Die in Peace." | |
