What Happened Last Night: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/gotta-see-it-holtby-loses-helmet-nearly-gets-puck-to-face/ Rule Rule 9 – Uniforms – 9.5 – Protective Equipment - If goalkeeper loses his mask play stopped immediately if his team is in possession of the puck and when opposing team has possession of the puck, stopped immediately provide there is no immediate and impending scoring opportunity. I think it should be whistled automatically no matter what like they do in the olympics, I mean scoring chances ok but you are aiming for the net where the goalie with no mask is located..... Also then my this ruling there would have been a scoring chance last night with it and then shouldn't it have counted anyways seems like they should just automatically whistle it especially being in this case it was not the goalie losing his mask "on purpose". What do you guys think |
