My Guide To Staking Pure (Melee)

Hello,

Introduction:In this guide there will be extensive and detailed methods to be successful at staking with pure melee. As most of you know, Staking with melee is luck based, (mostly because most strength pures at your level will have the same stats as you). In this case Staking rules, amounts and timing are crucial. For example, if you own an account with 60 attack, 60+ strength and 1 defense, most people you will be staking will have similar stats (that be, if they are strength pure).

Equipment:There are 2 different choices of set-ups I have when staking melee. Either have just 1: Dragon Dagger p++, with no armour, accessories, etc. Or you can go for 2: Dragon Dagger p++, Climbing Boots, Strength Amulet (Note - These are best for strength), and combat bracelet, No hat, Top, Cape, RING and Bottom.

Staking Rules:When using Set-Up 1, Be sure to remove options, Food, Potions, Prayer and Movement. Make sure all armour except for Primary Weapon (DDS) is Removed. These rules should be firm, and don't let anyone change your mind, even if they ask for double.

Staking Amount:Around about 55+ Cb People have 60 Attack, Strength and Defense. At this level I would advise staking minimum 20k up to 50k per stake. Never let an opponent stake something of lower value or items. (Unless the item is something that you need).

Staking Timing:Timing is crucial. Getting the first hit on your opponent will (most times) decide the winner of the stake. My method, isn't flawless as I myself, have not yet mastered the timing component. What seems to work for me, is to mass click my opponent (mass meaning, rapidly) just as 1 is counted down. This seems to give me the fighting start I need but doesn't always work. (I will find out how to successfully hit first everytime and Post here, Sorry)

PS: Just incase there are any really new people to staking with pure melee, I recommend using all DDS Specials at start of Stake. Then switch to Dragon Scimmy, Rune Scimmy, No Longs (They are too slow).

Most Important: The most important thing about staking is too have fun! :D
And if you do lose a stake or two, keep your head high and become even more determined to win!

I hope this Staking Guide will help you to become a famous melee staker, any tips or changes I should make to the guide will be appreciated. (Please don't Spam this topic)

Peace, Matt
