He doesn't mind not being top dog at Y&R. So I doubt you know what you're talking about. In fact, he wanted to move to Tennessee for years, and he finally sold his house after having it on the market for a long time. He wanted to cut a deal with FV where he could schedule his time so he could fly in to tape his scenes. That alone would probably have reduced his screentime and "top dog" status. But FV wouldn't agree to those terms. He got that deal at Y&R. He got what he wanted, so I'm happy for him.
A different Op...while I do think SBu was given too much clout by Guza (re: his character and what he would do, wouldn't do), I think FV was the one who had major problems with Burton. Even if Burton didn't like RC's writing he was still willing to work with it. I think the show is worse off that FV will not listen to actors about their characters or allow them to have some leeway in how they play scenes. TG is the only one that seems to get that treatment.

It was more than just the script that made me feel Jason and Sam weren't themselves. That was proven when Steve/Kelly begged FV to allow them to play the divorce scenes the way they wanted. They stuck to the script but added their own nuances. It made all the difference. Those were some of the best scenes they had under Cartini. Personally, I thought they were better than the "what if" episode.
Oh I agree those scenes were amazing. Despite the fact they were agreeing to divorce the love between them was so evident. I loved that Sam wanted nothing from a money POV, loved that Jason wanted to go to counciling if it would save his marriage, loved that the said they were each others best friend but also loved that they said that they couldn't continue to be friends and be in each others lives because it wouldn't be enough. IMO that completely set JaSam apart from all of Jason's other pairings where he continues to be friends with the ex.

The montage and I love you'd at the end was amazing!

I truly believe that the majority of Siam fans have absolutely no clue who Samantha McCall Morgan even is because they haven't watched her until ME came to GH. They have no clue who Jason and Sam are to each other and no idea of the things JaSM have been thru as a couple. Love them or hate them JaSam have been written as the love of each others lives and have a long and deep history.

They aren't reuniting JaSammer. Enjoy getting fucked over.

That montage was perfect. It hit almost every highlight of the pairing. No way Cartini or their newly placed crew would know to pick those scenes. I will always think Korte put that together.

There is a difference between being F'd over and a couple getting serious angst. At no time did I think JaSam didn't love each other yes even with the john/Liz stuff. They always wrote that JaSam were the root for. Ron writes messy and I have no doubt this will be a mess too but I also know JaSam will be the couple because its already been established from Sam's POV .

Just because Spammy wants him doesn't mean they are the story. Robin loves Patrick but they are dead. Easy to do the same thing to Jasam.

Yep me too. Frank probably thought he didn't need Jason and that Sam could just go on with whoever Michael played. Lol what a difference a couple of years make. Now tptb have been there done that with slam and it is awful, they now know they aren't working so the situation has changed.
Pretty sure Frank was taking over the leadership of GH and Steve was challenging his authority and thinking he could continue running the show the way he had with Jill. Frank needed to set everyone straight

LOL I doubt Steve was trying to run anything. However, that doesn't mean others didn't look to him back stage. New bosses are always threatened by someone that others look to for leadership, especially when the place is in turmoil. They fired a lot of the crew and all the writers. I'm not sure all the other actors "embraced" Frank's micro-managing either.

SBu did not like what they did to Jasam for ME when he left. That Liason shit was back in 2008. You're reaching Jizzers.
Weird thing about SBu was that most actors want a messy story where their character does negative things and goes through bad things because it gives them meaty material. SBu just wanted Jason to be adored, worshipped and idolized while playing the hero who always wins. That is why we had the ridiculous Hitman with heart of gold nonsense for too long.
