Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I think there were several reasons why Siam didn't take off. One reason being that Silas is just a stupid character. He's a doctor, and a very boring one. He came on all monotone and unfeeling and I already didn't give a shit about him. He just should have had more personality to him. I actually liked Sam and John together because ME does great in cop mode. He looked heavier and better and seemed to at least be somewhat into that character. As Silas he just doesn't give shit and he looks terrible. He doesn't impose himself as a man, he always just looks like a feeble old woman to me. It just didn't work on so many levels.
You make some very good points. I've never been a fan of ME but I can see that a low key actor like him needs a character that is dynamic in some way, and a cop is a better fit than a doctor. There isn't much to draw on within the actor himself so the interest has to come from external sources, like gunplay and heroism based on a given dire situation. Exactly! Well said.

I've held that opinion since 1996. I like the actress and the character (for the most part) but her tribe of followers have been obnoxious for YEARS.
I used to like the actress well enough, respected her talent, but she's not even trying anymore. She can be very good, but she can also look bored to death in scenes. I do think her best work is with emotional material with JT (and some with SBu and MB). But action and danger are not her forte. jmo

I do not hate Robin but her fans on DD are making me to. Hell, she did nothing for ratings when she was on fulltime. Now they act like Gh cannot survive without her.
I've held that opinion since 1996. I like the actress and the character (for the most part) but her tribe of followers have been obnoxious for YEARS. I like Robin always have but never really cared about the Patrick thing so never paid attention to crap that comes along with the couple thing. And while I like her if she is there it is ok and if she is not it is ok so I never really posted that much about her and would scroll or ignore threads on other spots where she was the subject.
I understand why people get annoyed though as I used to kind of like Liz but over the years her fans and the way they carry on at the slightest sentence that does not adore her and especially the fucking warriors at deedee have really made me dislike her and even more those that like her

And they go on the attack even if you are just trying to point out why they would use Robin in the villain plots and not just use her like they use Olivia or other recurring characters.
Of course they attacked for that. They think this show revolves around her or should, so when she's back to say she's only a plot point for Jason, pisses her fans off because they think everyone should view Robin a character is more important than a plot point gimmick. She is and that is all she'll be used as. This show has moved on without her, they just to use her from time to time to bridge two ridiculous stories together with her research brilliance. Her fans go on and on about how Sabrina is written as perfect or the best. I don't see that at all. I see them writing Robin as untouchable morally and it's starting to rub off on other fans of characters on this show that just because she returns, many others have to be written as stupid to elevate (for the plot point) Robin's significance. Do they think that Robin will get much focus when she is back and in PC? She hardly got any the last time. It was about the Faison/Anna/Duke shit they wanted to tell. Then off they went writing Robin off in an unbelievable and un touching manner and now they are doing damage control. I don't think they get that it's the 80's shit that keeps her in these plots. The very "Scorpio" thing they wanted them to play more is actually been the reason for this.

Anna was sexy and fit, like an 80s soap version of Emma Peel.

I may not be a Nina fan, but damn if I can't see that MS is really TRYING in her scenes with ME. He gives her absolutely nothing to work with and I think that sucks.

The main problem is that KMc has grown into a lumpy, dumpy middle-aged frump whose Robin looks and acts more like her "grandmother" Filomena than either Anna or Robert. Her next storyline should include a DNA test to make sure she wasn't switched with some bastard Soltini baby as an infant.

I think many of the crazed fans want her to be like Anna and Robert and the character just isn't written that way. Robin doesn't drive story the way they did. Instead, she's used to connect them and I just don't see that changing.
