Hah! I'm just someone with an opinion. I don't think Pratt is the greatest soap writer, but I also don't believe in making him out to be the killer of soaps. I'll wait and see about the show. Too simplistic for my taste to blame a single person for the death of a show. It's no different than watching crazies blame a couple or a character for bad ratings, or watching people claim GH is the best soap ever because a bunch of soap bloggers said so. I like to look at the whole picture. JMO |

If you read Lucci's interview. pratt and RC are of the same cloth. they think the same way, probably write the same way. |

Jasammers were doing it to. one jasammer said on abc board she sent in like 500 hundred letter to Sid and Sid published it to get Jasam back and then she bragged she was the only one that did it. Nutty ass fangirls all of you. |

I have. We had this discussion when RC took over. OLTL goes up and down but was stuck in a certain total viewership. Neilsen ratings are also much more than the weekly rating points that are posted each week. You also have to look at the ever decreasing total viewership of daytime and how that affects the shares per week and per season. IF OLTL, AMC were still on the air, they would most likely have the same viewership they did back then. By 2010 all soaps were dwindled down to their constant base of viewers. That's the real reason they were being cancelled. A stagnant number of people interested in a certain genre doesn't give the ABC shareholders % bumps every quarter. Fuckers. All of them. |
