It's not comedy it's campy ott bullshit. Having what was supposed to be meaningful dialogue compared to a cartoon is not a compliment or a joke it's a diss plain and simple.
I enjoy GH and I enjoy seeing GH on the soup
People enjoy Honey Boo Boo and Jersey Shore as well there's no accounting for taste. :uh-wtf

Duke, Felicia, Lucy, Bobbie, Scotty and Mac might as well not be on the show, they're brought out like Christmas ornaments. Why couldn't Mac still be a cop working with Anna? Whenever someone used the argument that cartini brought back the vets I rme because they're hardly on, and have no story of their own.
It is better than never seeing them. Honestly, I prefer them in small doses myself. This is an ensemble cast with a deep range. It is much more satisfying to me than the everyday, every move saga of 3 mob characters. I may not be interested in every part of every story, but everyday there is something I am interested in
RME that's bullshit
Very eloquent response

Yup. I don't know why someone would come to a soap message board who thought they were above the genre

Losing TR cut the whole Jerome arc and that impacted plans for Anna, Alexis, Sam and Lucas
And why did they lose TR again? Oh yeah because they were too busy fighting for THEIR OLTL characters so who needs GH vets right? :uh-wtf
Yup. If they really had a story for TR, they would have given him a contract.

It is comedy. People like things that make them chuckle and are lighthearted. Audiences have always made fun of soaps. It is entertainment and fun to laugh at yourself. Producing an episode or more each day limits the possibilities and can't be compared to movies that take months to produce.
It's not comedy it's campy ott bullshit. Having what was supposed to be meaningful dialogue compared to a cartoon is not a compliment or a joke it's a diss plain and simple.
Why are you looking for meaningful dialogue on a soap?? Try PBS

Who said anything about being above the genre? These hacks have turned GH into a campy OTT mess it wasn't always like that which is why a lot of viewers enjoyed it. The cheesy music and mustache twirling cartoon villains are embarrassing and that's why the shit was compared to a fucking cartoon for a scene that was supposed to be moving emotional heartfelt moment.
