The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers Blog, Tuesday, April 25th: Aunt Shirley Orders the Family to Enjoy Success Aunt Shirley tells her family to stop sulking in The Bold and Beautiful spoilers. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Tuesday, April 25th, predict that Aunt Shirley is singing a positive, happy tune–but is she deluding herself? Dare to Not Care Shirley (Patrika Darbo) delivered her share of serious, no-holds-barred pep talks to several family members leading up to Spectra Fashions bombshell fashion show. Now she tries to convince the gang that because their product is selling like hotcakes, they have nothing to worry about! Well, enjoy it while you can, we suppose… Good News Over at Forrester Creations, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tells some of his bosses that he has good news regarding Forrester’s case against Spectra Fashions. Well, it might just be an open and shut case, given that the Spectras fully stole Forresters original designs and passed them off as their own. Then again, never count a Spectra out! That family could have some tricky defenses up their sleeves. And now they can afford their own fancy legal team, right, dear Soap Cities readers? What do you think will become of this fashion plagiarism case? A Tenuous Future Coco (Courtney Grosbeck) expresses her hurt and disappointment and anger at her sister Sally (Courtney Hope). She says that Sally didn’t respect her feelings in the whole design theft debacle. She also didn’t respect their bond as sisters. These two have been through a lot together their whole lives. They formed a strong bond, and Coco feels understandably betrayed and dismayed in the wake of the Spectra show. She also considers her future career options. ~SoapCities.com |

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers (BB) Blog: Ridge and Steffy’s Revenge! The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (BB) for Tuesday, April 25 have Ridge and Steffy ignoring their lawyer’s advice and deciding to get their revenge on Spectra, while Coco ponders what she’s going to do with the rest of her life now that her professional and personal dreams have been shattered in one fell swoop. Badges? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Badges! Wait, actually, they do! Co-CEOS, Ridge and Steffy — when Eric asked Ridge how the Spectra theft could have happened on his watch, why wasn’t he reading Steffy the riot act, too? — listened to Carter explain how suing Spectra would be fruitless and give the competing house a ton of free publicity, to boot. So they’re going in a different direction. Instead of suing Sally (Courtney Hope) and Shirley (Patrika Darbo), they’re going to call the law on them. Because that won’t be fruitless — did Carter not make clear that Spectra adjusted enough changes to make proving theft nearly impossible? — and give the Spectras tons of free publicity? Maybe they should think everything through, first. But, hey, look, it’s Lt. Baker (Dan Martin)! Girl Interrupted Poor Coco (Courtney Grosbeck). One day, she has her dream job at the best fashion house in LA, and a dream guy, son, and grandson of the people who own the best fashion house in L.A. Life couldn’t get any better! In the space of one fashion show, Coco lost RJ (Anthony Turpel) and her internship at Forrester Creations. With just cause. She’s the one who leaked their top-secret designs to her sister. But Coco didn’t know! RJ believes her, even if no one else does, but that’s small comfort to the dateless, jobless girl. What will she do with her life now? All doors are closed to her! Uhm… has she considered going back to school? It’s spring. Why isn’t Coco — or RJ, for that matter — in school? Do they think they’re going to take over the fashion world without so much as a college degree? Well, it is daytime, after all…. ~Soaphub.com |

FYI Writers Guild Members Vote for Strike Authorization With 96% Support WGA Placeholder Contract Negotiations APRIL 24, 2017 More than 96% of the voting members of the Writers Guild of America have authorized a strike against production companies. The WGA released the results Monday, a day ahead of the resumption of contract negotiations on a master contract with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. A work stoppage could start as early as May 2, after the current three-year master contract has expired. The AMPTP issued a statement in response to the strike authorization announcement: “The companies are committed to reaching a deal at the bargaining table that keeps the industry working. The 2007 Writers Strike hurt everyone. Writers lost more than $287 million in compensation that was never recovered, deals were cancelled, and many writers took out strike loans to make ends meet. We remain focused on our objective of reaching a deal with the WGA at the bargaining table when the guild returns on April 25th.” A total of 6,310 ballots were cast and 67.5% of eligible WGA members voted. The support was similar to the 2007 strike authorization, which received backing from 90% of the 5,507 guild members voting. The strike authorization voting period began April 19 and ended at noon PT Monday. The vote was not open to all WGA West and WGA East members, but only to those who have worked under AMPTP contract during the past six years and those with 15 or more years in pension plan. The two sides have held about three weeks of negotiations, starting on March 13. The WGA announced on April 5 to media buyers that a strike could have a significant impact on primetime programming for the 2017-2018 television season. Leaders of the WGA had urged the guild’s 12,000 members to support the strike authorization, asserting that doing so will give negotiators the maximum leverage at the bargaining table. Should negotiators be making progress after talks resume, both sides could agree to extend the current contract. WGA held three meetings last week for members to rally them. Several attendees at the meetings — closed to everyone except members and staff — said that there was consistent support for the negotiators. The guild is asking for raises in minimums and script fees in an effort to offset changes in the nature of TV series production that have hit writers’ earnings. It’s pushing for parity for the payment structures for those working on shows for cable and SVOD outlets, where fees remain lower than those for traditional broadcast network TV, along with an increase in employer contributions to the guild’s health plan, which has been operating at a deficit. A strike would be the first in a decade for the union. The WGA last struck for 100 days between Nov. 5, 2007, and Feb. 12, 2008. ~variety.com |

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL RJ struggled with getting Coco to confess to the police about Sally stealing the Forrester Creations designs. Zende and Nicole differed over whether or not Coco was really innocent. Even though he was happy to be reunited with Brooke, Bill wondered what really happened between her and Ridge. Meanwhile, Wyatt advised Bill not to push the matter with Brooke. Ridge begged Brooke for another chance to prove his love and devotion to her. Thomas's anger turned to sympathy when Steffy told him that Sally might go to prison. Zende surprised Nicole with his sudden change in attitude about having children. The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers Blog, Wednesday, April 26th: Things Are Loco for Coco! Coco and RJ in The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Wednesday, April 26th, predict that the bombshell Spectra fashion show was just the beginning of fashion hijinks for Coco! I Promise Sally (Courtney Hope) makes a vow to her very disappointed and disillusioned sister, Coco (Courtney Grosbeck). She promises she will never do something underhanded and dishonest to Coco again. Sally is then taken aback by Coco’s response to a proposition from her. A Big If, to Some Meanwhile, many Forresters discuss how to exact revenge on the Spectras, particularly with the use of their secret weapon, Coco, who sympathizes with them. She sees her family as a bunch of snakes and the Forresters as angels, which is understandable. The Forresters recruit RJ (Anthony Trupel) for an awkward task. He makes sure to ask Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) a pointed question of his own though: if Coco proves herself to be on their side, will the Forresters trust her again. Coco tells RJ she wishes there were a way for his family and everyone, really, to see that she is a good, honest person. Careful what you wish for, Coco. Seffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) insists that what they’re asking of her is simply to do the right thing. Nicole (Reign Edwards) disagrees. She says that while it’s true that the Spectras need to pay for what they’ve done, putting Coco in the middle of it all is wrong. Oh Em Gee! Are the Forresters going to actually ask Coco to be a reverse-spy for them to get their fashion vengeance on the Spectras! ~SoapCities.COM |
