History: As the United States ended, Arizona and New Mexico merged to gain the full advantage of each other resources. During the bid for independence its National Guards were able to successfully secure its borders. The new government quickly declared marital law keeping bloodshed to a minimum. Therefore New Arizona has a very intact infrastructure. New Arizona also has large amounts of technology thanks to labs in New Mexico.

A few days later New Arionza was declared a Republic and elections were held soon after. There are still two main parties the Conservative Party and Liberal Party. In the first elections the Conservatives were able to win an overwhelming majority in the government. Local governments have been given more freedom in local affairs. The U.S Constitution has been left largely intact with small changes.
