Montana, about two weeks after secession, took over all of Yellowstone National Park. They instituted a $10 visitation fee and created the Montana Park Protection Services, which are highly trained park rangers, of which there are roughly 5,000 with no less than 2,250 on duty at any given time with officers in Yellowstone and all other National Parks. Montana also quickly formed the State Defense Services, comprising an Army, Air Force, Border Protection Unit, and River Defense Patrol. The River Defense Patrol is made up of several patrol boats to guard state rivers and lakes. The Border Protection Unit defends all state borders.
